  1. ^^^^ I wouldn't say this is shooting the show in the leg, it's been on for 4 seasons and it's ratings have declined steadily since it first aired.

    They shot the show in the leg when they moved it to Thursdays at 8pm after one season and without a decent timeslot partner. You notice they haven't made that mistake with 24, House or Prison Break, and it's because they realise it was a mistake.

    This week's episode was the weakest of the season, but still better than arguably anything in the 2nd or 3rd season outside of "Rainy Day Women". I sure hope the Seth-Summer marriage avoidance thing isn't something that's a really long drawn out arc, but I can take it as a 2-3 episode thing. Sandy was particularly awesome this week; it's good to see Peter Gallagher finally having some material to work with this year.

    In it's first season on Thursday nights though it did quite well against stiff competition. Against the same competition it went down almost 2 million viewers in season 3. This season the drop is likely due to Grey's Anatomy being added at 9 PM

    I do agree with it not having a proper partner on Thursday nights(Til Death and War at Home are not good lead-ins as both are comedies likely to get cancelled at the end of this year) but FOX did try to give it one with Reunion last year, but The O.C.'s audience had dropped so much and not very many stuck around to watch Reunion.

    The only time The O.C. did extremely well was when in the summer when there was no competition and when it was directly after American Idol, the top rated show in America. This is also how House started(post-Idol spot) but it has since become a program FOX can count on to do well even without the strong lead-in. It has no stable program to air with before Idol starts and it does perfectly fine by itself.

  3. This game has received a title change to "Halo 3 Beta Disk with Crackdown"

    Just like people bought Zone of Enders(I think it was called) to get a Metal Gear Solid 2 demo, people will buy Crackdown for the Halo 3 Beta.

    I personally won't as I don't care enough about the Halo 3 beta and I'm waiting for GTA IV

  4. So I think it's safe to say these will be near impossible to get before 2007. I've been searching high and low for a Wii and no luck anywhere, aside from the silly Ebay prices.

    I can't find one anywhere, and there was one time, last week, I went to future shop early to get the Wii, next thing you know, before I walk out dissapointed, I see a woman purchasing a Wii with Zelda and Rayman. I got all excited again and asked the person at the front if they had anymore, and she told me that the lady purchased the last one. No matter where I go, they're all sold out.....same for Zelda, which means I might not get lucky grabbing the Gamecube version.

  5. I have honestly not been following the gaming news as much as I used to and don't know much about the games of 2007 yet. Combine that with the fact that I don't buy new games anymore(don't see the point when you can wait 6 months and get it for half the price)

    Here are the obvious picks I do know of:

    - Halo 3

    - GTA IV

    - Guitar Hero 360 or whatever it will be called

    - DDR Universe

    - NHL 08

    - WWE Smackdown vs RAW 08

  6. Video Game Awards

    * Game of the Year

    - WWE Smackdown vs RAW 07

    - Gears of War

    - Fight Night Round 3

    * Best Soundtrack

    - Fight Night Round 3

    - WWE Smackdown vs RAW 07

    - Burnout Revenge (X360)

    * Best Graphics

    - Gears of War

    - Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion

    - Zelda: Twilight Princess

    * Best Console Game

    - WWE Smackdown vs RAW 07

    - Fight Night Round 3

    * Best PC Game

    Don't play PC games

    I'll edit rest in later

  7. Easy way to make sure you get the challenge is in the list of challenges just press start on the one you want to do, it automatically does everything for you and goes straight to the match.

    Mickie James vs Khali was hard until I set the AI sliders to low, especially the reversal ones. Easy as cake then

  8. Most of the time I have 3 squash matches on Heat of the people I want to push up(Masters, Flair and JBL right now) and then leave 1 or 2 openings on my main RAW if I have to.

    Anyone know a place that has a list of what all the storylines are? I can't seem to find it in the game

  9. Supposedly the same problem is in the Lost Planet Multiplayer Demo that came out recently, freakishly hard to see the text on SDTV. That game is another Capcom one though so it could just be a Capcom probably right now.

    Other games look fine on SDTV and have no problems whatsoever, but I would almost recommend not getting a 360 unless you have an HDTV because you just don't get the full experience of the 360 without one. That's why I'm saving up for an HDTV. The prices you can get one now are insane, around 30" can be as low as $400 CDN for Tube or $600 CDN for LCD
