  1. Lobo, this Billy Gunn with the WWF Attitude Era Championship instead of the Intercontinental Championship. And this Billy Kidman with the X-Division Championship, please and thanks in advance. If none of those two pics work for you do it with any other pictures of them, no problem.

  2. I'm sick of all this Favre-Off-Season drama that has been going one for three years, is he coming back to the Packers, if not with who, can he still play, blah blah blah. Just retire once and for all, Sage Rosenfels is good not the best of the greatest but at least something to hang on to until the Draft next year, Favre will probably play good for the fierst five games, afterwards he will start wearing down like last year with the Jets and end up beign a double-edge sword.

UFC President Dana White will announce the signing of Fedor Emelianenko this Friday. Shortly after the report was made posted, the UFC announced a media conference call with White scheduled for this Friday afternoon.

According to the report, an unidentified source stated that the negotiations between Fedor and the UFC have been "very civil". The source went on to state that officials are apparently discussing details on the announcement of the deal, although the UFC is declining to comment on Friday's announcement.

The signing of Fedor by the UFC has been talked about for years, with the Russian heavyweight coming close to signing with the organization in the summer of 2007. Negotations failed after Fedor's manager, Vadim Finkelstein, demanded that the UFC work with his Russian M-1 Global promotion and permit Emelianenko to compete in combat sambo tournaments. However, speculation renewed during the UFC 100 post-fight press conference earlier this month, when White said that Fedor would eventually be joining the organization.

“Eventually Fedor is going to be here,” White noted. “I want Fedor. I want him to come of the UFC."

White also said this past weekend that the Russian heavyweight would fight UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar in his first fight in the organization, if they were to come to terms on a deal.

"He'll fight for the title first," White stated. "What does he need, a tune-up fight or something? ... To argue where this guy sits in the heavyweight division, we can argue that all day."

Meanwhile, Fedor Emelianenko will address the public with a press conference on Wednesday, where he is expected to address his future plans. It's unlikely that Fedor would announce a deal with the UFC if the UFC is planning to make their own announcement on Friday.

This all means that Lesnar vs. Fedor would be first up.

It's official, Fedor Emelianenko is on UFC, his first fight is against Lesnar.

  6. Well if there were some guys who were going to play on August 12th they won't know after that match. I'm Mexican and I doubted Mexicou would even win 1-0, but hey, I'm not complaining. On a side note, only Costa Rica has defeated Mexico in the Azteca.

  7. I'm watching the Mexico-Costa Rica semifinal, and Mexico missed a penalty kick early in the second half then they score about 10 or 15 minutes before the end, the ref adds 3 minutes of extra time and at 92:53 Costa Rica scores and ties the game, Mexico-Costa rica are now on Overtime.

EDIT: Mexico just defeated Costa Rica on penalty kicks, 5-3. Mexico vs. United States in the Finals.

  8. In the interest of public service, the following MMA fighters are also not dead (and I stress this is an incomplete list):

    Ken Shamrock

    Royce Gracie

    Renzo Gracie

    Frank Shamrock

    Chuck Liddell

    Randy Couture

    Brock Lesnar

    Anderson Silva

    Keith Jardine

    Tito Ortiz

    Don Frye

    Dustin Hazelett's beard

    Bobby Lashley

    Kenny Florian

    Andrei Arlovski

    Tim Sylvia

You sure about that one? I mean, I'm pretty sure that's dead.

  9. Just read about it, but wonder why the MMA Weekly website, Sherdog, UFC, ESPN or Sports Illustrated haven't mentioned this at all nor posted anything about it. My dad heard it in the radio this morning on ESPN radio but they don't have on their website, they say it's realted to his drug abuse in these last few years.
