Y'know ... I initially shot down the $399 package, but its starting to grow on me. I might actually pick it up at launch, the first time I've ever picked up a system at its launch. I waited three years for PS1, and a lot longer for N64. I only just got a GBA this year, and a PS2 last year.

The closest I've ever come is the PSP that I bought last week.

But anyway, Quake 4 makes me happy, as does the Windows Media compatibility.

Question thought: What are PS3's scheduled launch titles so far?

If you get the smaller "Core Edition", there's no hard drive? That was the main thing that attracted me to the Xbox in the first place. Sure, PS2 eventually came out with an external hard drive, but that was extra money, and limited functionality.

Well ... I was a little turned off when I saw the first post. It seemed overbooked, not detailed enough, and slightly rushed. But then I actually read your shows, and was amazed! This is a lot better than I expected it to be. Very well written ... and it has fucking Tatanka! (Y)

I'm with Livid. Even though some of his jokes are overdone, and he's pretty much just a Mexican Chapelle, I find him quite funny. The West Hollywood episode was kinda gay, no pun intended, but really ... give the guy a break.

I'm actually hopefull on this one. I'd never heard of it until now, but it seems like we could be very likely to get a release. I don't like the 1-10 scale on stats, but meh. The features list does look VERY meh, but whatever. I will still play just for the National Iraq Wrestling League ... if we can create our own promotions.

Battle Chess was the shit back in the day, but I remember it being very slow-paced. I've heard of Chessmaster before, anyone know what that's like?

Is there any sottering or the sort with this? That's the thing that turns me off mod chips. If I end up screwing it up and sottering in the wrong place, it's ruined and I'm screwed.

I have heard of the Swap Magic disk before though, and I've heard it get very good marks.

I love the graphics. Thats some top notch shit.

I love the booking, and I can't wait for Dreamer vs Raven.

However, I'm not too keen on the short match descriptions. You seem fairly new to EWB, but you probably know that match descriptions are hit or miss. People either complain about too short or too long, but in your case, way too short. Take the battle royal for example, you didn't give us the whole match, just the final four. And Tanaka vs Raven vs Rhyno ... a three line match? Sorry, but I'm really not into anything that short. A good rule of thumb is to try for at least 10 well-written sentences per match. To me, that seems not too long, not too short.

But nonetheless, as I said, I am enjoying the booking, so I'll keep an eye on this to see how the storylines progress, as well as your writing.

Oh, okay ... you said pawn in the first post, so I took that for what it's worth

Anyway, B&M (brick & morar - slang term for an actual offline store) Gamestops and EB's usually offer in-store credit. However, offline EB and Gamestop stores, in most locations, will only accept PSX, N64, Game Boy, PS2, GC, Xbox, DS, and PSP games for trade in.

Most EB Stores are currently running these trade-in offers. I can't find any trade-in information online for GameStop stores. I'm aware that EB and Gamestop are both owned by the same parent company, but usually they vary greatly in prices and stocking. Your best bet for trade-in is a local small game shack, if you have one in your town, or maybe a flea market, if you have one of those. I recently traded in dupes of Sonic 1, 2, and 3 for Skitchin on the Genesis, and if you're familiar with Genesis, Skitchin is super rare game, so it was a good deal.

I'm lucky to live in an area with three EB Games stores, 1 GameStop, 2 small game stores (Space Coast Games and Game Source), and a Flea Market, that has at least two different game booths each week.

www.1up.com offers you a chance to load in your collection, and get an estimated value, however, it is from a game collectors' point of view. For example, it valued my NES Metroid at $49.95. I highly doubt a pawn shop would give you that much for an NES. Most will only give you about $2 or $3 for an NES, and then they'll go and sell it for $5. New stuff like PS2 and XBOX usually will usually get you anywhere between $8 and $25.

Smackdown vs RAW (PS2): 7.5.10

The season mode is repetitive and the online multiplayer is flawed, but it still gets decent mileage.

It depends on what you play for. I happened to buy it from EB Games about a week ago for fuckin $45 as a PRE-OWNED. According to the guy at the counter, it is still extremely popular and has kept that price point for a while.

If you are looking for a good single-player game, I'd go with Here Comes the Pain. The story mode in HCTP far surpasses the story mode in SVR. Hell ... The story mode in any SD game surpasses the story mode in SVR. SVR's story mode is repetitive every season. Don't get me wrong, HCTP is repetitive too, but in HCTP, the wrestlers are random and change often. In SVR, you fight the same exact match every season. (Unless you do something different, e.g.: win more, win less, win a title.) However, SVR does have a challenge mode with like 60 challenges that you have to beat to win WWE cash and unlockables. I'm about halfway through all of them, and I've unlocked Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper without going to Shopzone. However, that soon gets boring too, so I'd much prefer the single player of HCTP.

SVR's CAW system is more in depth, but some people might say too much in depth. It takes a good 10-15 minutes minimum to make one CAW.

SVR has seen the return of Create a PPV and Create a Belt. Create a PPV is cool. You can pick the arena, the title, the brand, and the announcers, and then you make your matches. Create a Belt is different, because you actually have to create it, and then purchase it. I've seen them go anywhere between $8,000 and $300,000. And when you create your belt, you can only defend it on a Create a PPV and against either a computer or human player. However, you have to have 2 memory cards to defend against another human. And if you lose, your belt transfers onto the other memory card. That is a huge plus, especially if you know a lot of people who have the game. I currently have won three belts. Yep, The Eagle is the FTW Champion, Cruiserweight Champion, and World Heavyweight Champion. A huge drawback is that belts can only be defended in 1 on 1 matches. Also, the a Create a Belt is not attributed to a single wrestler, but the memory card, so it won't show up in exhibition or season mode. I don't know if you can defend belts online, if someone could answer me that, I'd appreciate it. I've heard many people say different things regarding that.

So, if you're looking for a game with a long-lasting, non-repetitive season, buy Here Comes the Pain.

Anything else, even at such a high price point, buy Smackdown vs RAW.

It's still in my Genesis collection, even though I never managed to get past Level 3. The first level, IMO, is one of the best ever on a Genesis game.

Nice, I get to read a Dukes from the beginning. I haven't ever seen too much in the way of American women's wrestling here, so it's a pleasant change for me. Planning on throwing a couple Joshis in there?
