  1. Man, I loved that game and I think the pacers can pull off a good series against Detroit in seven games. Infact, I think they can win. They have been underdogs since that incident occur and they always risen to the occasion. So far, this is one of the post-seasons I'm enjoying in the last 5 years. (thats 2 out of 5) Of course last year was the first, since Detroit pulled one over LA.
  2. hey if the Mavs somehow get a lucky break like they did in Houston...I think they would. But then again, this Phoenix team is different than Houston. Unlike Houston, Phoenix can beat Dallas' high paced style...for one good reason that Nash knows a few tricks of his former team and can utilize it against them. The Mavs-Suns series reminds me 10 years ago when Grant just haunted his former team and let Orlando finish them off in 6 games. But I know there are A LOT of differences, but still..it just reminds me of a series I saw long ago. The Wiz saved face today and didnt get blown out. They are going to their homecourt and I think they could win a game...and maybe nothing more cause the heat will just kill them every game.
  3. I know they did, saw the first quarter. THey had a good start, they got a good break with two of Seattle's starters getting hurt in the first half. oh well...competitive basketball might happen soon for people who hate blowout wins...when the pacers and the pistons square off. I just hope that when I said 'square off', it wont mean another brawl.
  4. it would be...but I would have liked the spurs up in a huge margin with both Allen and Radmonovich still healthy, wheres the humiliation in being hurt and down by a huge margin? But as for the semis, here are my predictions while in a drunk state tonihgt Heat sweep the Wizards in 4 Pacers over Detroit in 7(hey if it can happen in the ps2, it can in real life!) Suns beat Mavericks in 7 Spurs sweep Sonics in 4
  5. hey, those game sevens were not THAT bad...it set some records...*laughs* even though it will be humiliating to the teams that got defeated on that day. So far those games gave me as much of a shock as that Derek Fisher shot last year, they just came outta no where. So much for boring, I take that back now...this might be the year where I will see a lot of blowout wins during an entire course of a playoffs. Boy oh boy was shaq really pissed this afternoon that he took it out hard on the Wizards. I guess I'm kinda glad the bulls are out.
  6. Man, today, I just watched two of the most loopsided victories that happened on a game seven. I'm glad Indiana advanced, and I'm sad for Houston(maybe next year, T-Mac.) Right now, I cant wait to see the Suns-Mavs series. It would be interesting to see Nash play against his former team in this series.
  7. The Bulls-Wizards series was finally aired on my country this morning, and it was good. I mean, the bulls caught up with Washington at the end, but in the end, Arenas kicked ass and shot a buzzer beater. Now, I aint too sure about this game. At one point, I jumped for joy seeing pargo hit that 3....then I kinda got happy when Arenas hit a game winner since he is one of my favorite NBA players. But then it hit me, he was playing against Chicago..... So a part of me just said "OH YEAH!" and the other part just mourned and muttered 'OH S###!" It was a good game, but...I just have mixed feelings about it. On the Washington side, I like Arenas...on the other side, I like the enitre bulls team ever since I was introduced to the NBA via the TV 10 years ago. So, I guess I'll root for the winning team in this series, when they get swept by Miami....in the semis. In other news, I guess you can say its Seattle vs San Antonio since the spurs got the win.
  8. Its nice to see Ben being the Defensive Player of the year. Gordon, I think he does deserve it a bit. If I look at it, he is a bit explosive than Davis. When you compare their time on the court and their points, it just shows that Gordon is like a TNT stuck on the very foundation of the other team's building....Davis is the TNT stuck on the corner pillar. And I think this is the most possible award he could ever get this year. I think Gordon doesnt have a good chance of being the rookie of the year since sources are already saying that Okafor won the ROTY award. Props to Mavs getting a 3-2 lead. But I think that lead would just motivate T-Mac more to force a game seven in this series where that final and deciding game could go either way. I pray that it wont be a SA-Detroit finals. I mean...It would be nice to see only ONE of those two teams playing at the finals against a team that can score a lot like...the suns? or..some team at the east?
  9. wow, a double OT and the nets STILL blew it. Man, Carter had like a couple of chances to give them the lead when they were up by 2 pts with 2 mins to go, but damn man. I think Jay-Z can just sing his song during Game 4's half time...cause NJ is done and you can stick a fork into them. Well, Dallas escaped a 3-0 series by winning Game 3. But I still think Houston will win the series, unless T-Mac or Yao gets into a freak accident and will be out for the rest of the post-season.
  10. the only thing unbearable in those games are that the sixers could have done better. Sure, Detroit is doing a good game in the first two, but why cant AI or Webber step up for their team like the Pistons' starters did? The Motorcity guys are schoolin em already, c'mon I want a game seven outta this series so I can manage to buy some tickets next week. But if I have to pick a city that has a different player stepping up, I dont think its Detroit.
  11. I like the way T-Mac is playing right now in this years playoffs. I guess he is so motivated to advance into the semis so he can be scrapped off the list where guys like Marburry are. If Washington wants to go to the finals, they better do a better performance than they did at Game one. I was expecting Arenas to get 30+ points on Sunday, but all I got was a poor shooting night
  12. I dunno, it was ok but it wasnt sloppy. Maybe cause I might be just a bulls fan and all so I aint too sure and I'm not that much of an expert in these basketball type of games that features very green teams who havent seen the playoffs for about 7 or 6 seasons. Yeah, man did Miami kicked some NJ ass. I guess they have to step up on Game 2 if they dont wanna sweep like Miami did during the regular season.
  13. Hey, I think that they would not be that horrible for Game 2. The Hou-Dal series seems to be good one IMO. Man did Boston kicked Reggie and the Pacers hard. If the Pacers dont pick themselves together, it might be a sweep. Ironically, it was the Pacers who swept Boston last year. Tomorrow will showcase the remaining game 1 games for the first round...I cant wait to watch the Nets take on the heat. I dunno why, maybe cause I am just curious if Jefferson would be on the floor at some point of the game.
  14. bah, knew that was gonna happen since there is a new owner. New owner means new GM, new coach and maybe a new staff. But then again I might be wrong though since Cuban didnt fire Nelly. Cavs gonna shop a new GM this off-season eh? How about a new coach too?
  15. Hmm...the nets get the eight spot. I'm happy. Poor Lebron, maybe next year. Anyways it was ok to see Indiana win. But boy, I would like to see Pargo shooting like that in the playoffs. Sure, he was placed their to spread out the bulls minutes, but he's one hell of a scorer...like a older and less popular version of Ben Gordon.
  16. uhm...Vince..he scored 37 points so far in this game against boston. Thankgod it wasnt a bad limp...or oh brother. 2 mins to go and Nets lead it baby! And...Cavs lead it too I think Rivers is just giving their young guys some playing thime...but WHY NOW? I mean, they could play spoilers to the Nets playoff hopes. I guess Lebron didnt pay off Payton or Doc that much so they declined.
  17. Damn..and here I was prayin there would be Kings vs Mavs round 4 early in the first round of the playoffs Oh well, Seattle vs Sacramento would be ok I guess.
  18. Damn, poor Cavs. What the hell is with Jim?! So he immitates his brother(John) and doesnt have a draft pick for this years draft. Although I know the bulls have a 2nd round pick though...but no first round, thats what I know so far. [EDIT] oh scrap that...yep...the bulls and cavs have no draft picks this year. So now we know the cavs just screwed themselves out of a rookie for the incoming season. And to think I thought they could make it atleast at eight place in the playoffs....now if the nets will win in a blowout against the wiz(which are getting asses handed to them for the last 10 minutes until they finally responded..sort of)....I think Lebron would have a lot to do in his early summer.
  19. actually it CAN happen for LA. I recall Orlando having the same fate when they had the highest record against the other lottery teams when they drafted Webber and traded it to Penny Hardaway. So I hope LA does look forward to the draft.....like Shaq looked forward to his breif stomach virus due to laughing too much about his former team missing the playoffs. Worthless?...I dunno about that dude. Its already has some worth since teams who were destined to be in this year due to their early season performance (Lakers, T-Wolves, Knicks, Magic and Utah) are NOT in. Though I would have wanted Kobe in the post-season and Crawford too. Hmm...hey blitz, any chance of updating the playoff standings before the weekend?
  20. breaking news: The T-Wolves playoff hopes are dead. They just got defeated by Seattle. And I dont think the loss of Memphis yesterday would keep their hopes alive either. And today...Lebron loses yet again. Detroit trounced the Cavs. Man, the Nets are going strong! They just won over Philly and looks to swipe the eight spot from the cavs. Washington.....er.....have a happy first round. But I wonder if they still have enough games to take the fourth spot from chicago. Indiana falls to 6, I reckon.
  21. I think the Heat could, I mean...the most possible eastern conference finals scenario is heat vs pistons anyways. And If miami does, they get someone at the finals. Likely, it would be San Antonio, unless of course if Phoenix will be the winners of the west.
  22. Its nice to see the final games of the regular season, especially with New Jersey and The Cavs. I really hope the Nets get in the playoffs somehow...I dunno, at the start of the season, I thought they were DOOMED, then when Carter was added, I thought they had a chance. When Jefferson was out for the whole season, I thought they will not make it...but now, damn! I am just stumped! A part of me wants to say they WILL make it, the other part says, they will get a big disappointment when the cavs close out their final games of the season with W's. Right now, I think Miami is in the comfort zone with Lebron as their opponent on the current playoff picture. A detroit vs philly match up is ok, but I WISHED that Indiana will drop to 7 so that we can get a good series with Ind vs Det at the first round. The only good matchup so far is the Bulls vs Wizards since it looks like their rivalry has ignited way before the season started(the pre-season brawl). I cant wait to see what Haywood would do or which wizard Noce would pester enough to either elbow him on the face or the wiz gets a technical for being pissed off at him. The west side seems good. Few disappointments are that the Wolves will NEVER make it this year. Well...unless if Memphis will loose its last games and extending its losing streak to 6. I like seeing Dallas vs Sacramento on the first round yet again. Same old rivalry, new set of guys on each team...that would kick ass. Denver vs Spurs? Its ok. Both teams seem to be emphasizing on defense and it would be interesting to see who would outdo the other team defensively.
  23. Damn, how the hell did Orlando get beaten THAT badly? I got to hand it to Chicago for defeating a team that big, even without Curry. Cavs lost, again, and I think New Jersey would be replacing them if they dont win their last games. So, if Miami faces NJ in the first round, you think NJ has a chance to have an upset? Or will their lack of a good center deny them even a game and make the heat sweep them off?
  24. I think the Bulls have a good chance in the playoffs...if they are all healthy. In their last game, wow, I didnt even expect them to be that good. It took Billups to shoot at 8. secs to go to win against Chicago. They have been surprising when I see that their last biggest streak(9 wins) happened during the time Deng, Hinrich and Curry were out for some of those games. Right now, Deng is out for the whole season(cant even make it to the playoffs due to the surgery and the possible 6 months of rehab on it.) and Curry is still out for some more testing in his irregular heartbeat...but Chicago just lost 2 games in recent memory. Its nice to see their bench stepping up like they are doing these days. speaking of Miami...will Shaq play in the next game? Or will he still be out?
  25. Yeah, I'm kinda disappointed in LA and the T-Wolves. Those two teams are kinda out of the playoff picture. Now Minesotta has a bigger chance of getting in the 8th spot right now, but I think LA doesnt have any hope at all. I feel sad for the Lakers...maybe next year. I wonder how long Kobe is going to be out though. They say he had a leg injury during the Memphis game.
