  1. I can only speak for myself but I moved away from mafia because I have a career and family now.  Back in my most active mafia days I was just a college student with plenty of free time to bs around in mafia games.  Now, not so much, on days I work I generally have 4-5 hours before going to bed and most of that time is devoted to family.  On my off days I usually have errands or family activities to attend.  I barely have enough free time to support my NBA diary in the cube, so in all honesty for people like me it doesn't matter how the games are structured I wouldn't be able to commit to playing.

Man, I love this game, but I have no idea what the hell you two are on about. Am I the only one that only plays MyGM or MyLeague? :shifty:

Besides my Nets diary I'm running in the Cube I'm also playing a GM mode with the 76ers.  In my second season, the lottery screwed me over and gave me the 4th overall pick even though I had the best chance at being number 1.  Only 5 guys really worth drafting and I was left with between choosing a PF or C, I took the PF.  Free Agency was better as I landed a star player.  Currently in January of 2017 1st place in East.  Rotation is:

C Jahlil Okafor, PF Nerlens Noel, SF LeBron James:D, SG Tim Hardaway Jr, PG Derrick Rose

Bench: PF Howard Madsen (6'11" rookie with 7'7" wingspan, he is a monster), SF Jerami Grant, SG Courtney Lee, PG TJ McConnell, SF Thabo Sefolosha, PG Kendall Marshall, and PF Richaun Holmes.

Bench lacks firepower other than my rookie Howard Madsen.

  3. In my current game I play as a tank character, I decided I wanted to try and actually do a little bit of damage for our next encounter so I bought a enlarge person and bull's strength potion.  After drinking the enlarge person potion I suddenly remembered that not only would my height be double, but my weight would be multiplied by eight.  My character went from weighing a modest 200-ish pounds to weighing in at 3/4 of a ton.  In the battle we were dealing with archers on rooftops.... they weren't a problem since my character just attempted to climb on the buildings with the archers, the building didn't support my weight and collapsed.  I got a couple of scratches, cuts, and bruises; the archers however died in all of the debris.

  4. Anybody the Bulls can take that will make a difference? I really only know the top 10 or so

Not in the near future... Bulls rookies usually don't crack the rotation unless they're something special (see Tony Snell and Doug McDermott).

Honestly, at this point, anybody we take, bar that Latvian kid (or whatever Eastern European country he's from :shifty:) is bound to make us better.

But the Dirk Nowitzki comparisons though..... :shifty:

  5. I think it would be fun to do some battle royale stuff on minecraft, you can even do it on PC by just building the map on an island, or by building an arena. I always loved reading the battle royal diaries in the cube, why can't we do one in minecraft?

  6. Nope - they're identical (well, after patches and updates). The disc version was just to get more exposure and likely to make some parents/people more secure in the idea of buying the game.

Thanks I went ahead and downloaded the game... Not sure if I like the interface compared to the PC's, but that's probably because I've been playing PC Minecraft for awhile before playing the 360 version. Been having fun in creative, planning on trying to replicate some Let's Plays from AH for my friends to do.

  7. So my bracket at work is looking really good now thanks to Kentucky. Me and 9 other co-workers all made a pool with the best bracket taking home all the cash. My 9 other co-workers are all Louisville fans and each one had them going all the way. Me being a UK fan decided, eh what the hell? Decided to put Kentucky going all the way. All my co-workers now hate me.

  8. Do you play with a wall screen? It's always a good idea, also if you find that you didn't give your enemies enough HP and the battle is going super quickly, you can always fudge and add some HP to prolong the battle and make it seem more challenging than it actually was.

  9. Snatch Arrow feat, Wind Wall spell, fog, have enemies with total concealment, etc.

That really doesn't help the problem. Zen Archers are also monks so they have no problems going into melee either. Once again it's a player balancing issue, and I know most of my players would not want to play with this archetype in the group.

  10. Burni.. I'll be honest. ALL archers are OP.

Because they dont have to move to get all attacks in, they can start shooting large amounts of arrows at anytime.

In fact with rapid shot and multi shot, they go even more. At even lowest levels they are blasting massive amounts of arrows down range, killing things before they move.

You want to limit him? Look at his sheet, look at the amount of arrows, then mark them off on your own. When he runs out, ignore him.

Because the only downside to an Archer is that they spend about 25 arrows a combat, and only buy 50 of them in the first place.

Hmm I should put more context in my first post. As a DM yes there are ways to check and counter someone running the zen archer. I'm talking more about balancing with the rest of the party. My friend plays a zen archer monk archetype and it usually just boils down to him vs the DM, the other players don't see any point in participating in the fight (especially if it's a boss fight with only one enemy) because the zen archer will usually take them all down by himself, most of the time without support from other players.

  11. Medieval times in our world, not in that world!

And it seems like most people aren't equipped to play a paladin.

There is a way to play a paladin right, but it is really hard to find someone who plays one right. Currently I'm in a campaign with someone who doesn't do it right. Pretty much every session includes me the CN vampire-lady, the CN drug-selling Magus, and the CN blood-thirsty Fighter trying to plan around the stubbornness of the Paladin. Like one time we had to get info out of a guy and we were just about to beat the info out of him, but the Paladin says "no that is evil we can't do that." And we say in response "If we don't do it, the entire town dies. What's more evil, beating this guy and not killing him to get info to save the town, or not beating this guy, getting no info and the town dies?" And still he wouldn't budge.

  12. So I just got into the world of recording competitive Pokemon battles... just uploaded my first video on YouTube so if anybody wants to watch it here's the link ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hcQngo7fMg

It's my first upload so it's not exactly perfect. I was a little nervous so I think I covered my mouth a lot with my hands so it can be hard to hear me at times, also the game audio I thought was a little loud... and the video is a little blurry but other than that I think I did well for my first video. So yeah if anybody wants to check it out feel free to do so and thanks in advance!

  13. If I had the time I'd be up for that IRC, but I don't . Also just got back from a session tonight where I play a tank character. I've never really tried a tank character before this campaign bc i thought it'd be boring. I was wrong, our party of 4 lvl 5 characters just took a CR 10 monster, and it only took me down to about half my hp.

  14. One of my players is considering cross-classing into Summoner...which means I gotta learn about Eidolons.

At first level, an Eidolon can have a max of three attacks....so, would the Eidolon be able to do, with a full round action, a bite (primary, 1d6), claws (primary, 1d4 and does two attacks)? For a max of 14 damage at level 1? Seems a bit excessive. Am I reading this right?

It depends on the evolutions that the player chooses, but yes it is possible for a 1st level eidolon to have 3 attacks, but to do so they would have to spend an evolution point in order to do that. The real check on eidolons is that they don't heal naturally, the summoner can heal them with a spell, but it has a drawback in that the summoner has to sacrifice his hit points in order to heal the eidolon.
