  1. I don't understand taking Jimmer Fredette with that pick to Sacramento, especially after getting John Salmons in that deal giving up the 7th pick... I thought they should have taken someone like Kahwi Leonard...

I really think they should have kept the #7 pick and done no trade and drafted Brandon Knight... he's the perfect compliment to a player like Tyreke Evans. He's a point guard who can play off the ball and knock down the 3 point shot.

  2. The Kings are making silly moves... I really think they shit the bed here. Brandon Knight would have been a great backcourt teammate for Tyreke Evans since Knight can play off-ball to Evans... I really think they should have waited and waited to see if Knight fell to them.

  3. Honestly I think the entire Miami Heat team has a thing with manning up in the 4th quarter... it seems like every one of them expects someone else to step up. I re-watched Game 6 and I noticed several possessions where the Heat players kept passing the ball too much. Ball movement is good and all but when you pass on 3 or 4 open looks that guys can knock down that isn't good. It really is a team mentality issue not just a LeBron issue, but of course LeBron gets blown up because he's the big story on the team because he has been since he came in the league.

Also I don't know if anyone else caught it but LeBron has "clarified" his statements made when he said everyone had to go on with their lives. It's on ESPN.com where he said he wasn't trying to imply he was better than everyone else and that everyone has to move on with their lives. I still think he was bitter when he first said it but I am glad that he made this move and "clarified" his statement. I really hope that in the future LeBron can be humble and win a ring because I was a fan of him before the whole decision debacle.

  4. I would suggest finding a good set of sliders. Also you get better the more you play the game, I'm now playing on Superstar... I think that's the 4th highest difficulty setting. I have a good set of sliders that my games are pretty realistic. I lose to teams I should lose to and win against teams I should, but I also have those few games where I beat really good teams and lost to really bad teams but they are far enough between each other that it is fairly realistic.

  5. I think it would also help if they matured a bit because people would actually start respecting them again. I wouldn't be a fan of them, but I would respect them. And I agree halfway with Steve Kerr. Right now his skill set/tendencies are more like Scottie Pippen, but I believe that if he worked on his jumpshot in all aspects of the game he could be more of a scorer... right now he is just an elite athlete with playmaking ability.

  6. "All the people that were rooting me on to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life they had before," James said. "They have the same personal problems they had to today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want with me and my family and be happy with that." - LeBron James

This is a direct quote of LeBron James... how can anyone possibly like this guy? He's a total douche who is bitter than he can't win important games.

From what I gather, I think he means that hating on him and wanting him to fail and ultimately getting that A) shouldn't be your top priority in life and B) ultimately doesn't change whatever else happens in your life.

That being said, I like LeBron, but until he can prove himself to be on the level of the guy he's compared to, he's the mentality of a serviceable bum with the ability to get you 32 every single night.

What I got from it is that A) He's very bitter that the majority of NBA fans don't like him, of course on Monday I'm going back to my job and working like I normally do, but that doesn't mean I can't delight in the fact that he lost while I go about my everyday life.

  8. I for one hope they keep the random break up of tag teams whenever one is in a singles match... I love only having two tag teams in Universe mode because all the other ones were broken up. :shifty:

  9. Does anyone else know how to fix this problem during Association?

I'm playing a Raptors Association and I've noticed some teams in the league having records like 67-60 and stuff... that's obviously over 82 games... does anyone now what this glitch is and how to fix it?

  10. For the My Player mode I generally do stat upgrades in areas that will improve my game... there are some things you can do without updating stats too high like in my case rebounding... rebounding is more about positioning and boxing out than skill. Higher skill will just help you get the really hard to get rebounds. If you know how to properly shoot you dont have to increase your shooting stats too high, as long as you take smart shots. Free throws is another area where you dont need to put huge upgrades in. But for your case... definitely ball-handling, passing, and speed are your best friends.

  11. I think Boston went herp derp there at the trade deadline...

Let's trade away this beast of a defensive center who's proven he can hinder guys like Dwight Howard/Andrew Bynum/insert big guy here for Jeff Green who is an undersized 4 who seems to have forgotten how to shoot and from what I've seen of him doesn't play stellar defense. If you want a big guy who can spread the floor surely there is someone else out there who can fill that role that you don't have to give up Kendrick Perkins for? Really dumb move there... I don't see the O'Neals being able to play defense against the NBA's elite big guys.

Charlotte's moves are all about building for the future, clearing cap space and building through the draft. I like the idea because they're awful, and also I like it because it gives Gerald Wallace to play somewhere good, depending on how Oden/Roy's knees hold up, but he has a better chance with Portland than Charlotte.

Also I don't think it's been talked about but one of the best deals I saw was the Washington/Atlanta one.

Atlanta receives Kirk Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong, Armstrong will just be a bench warmer, but Atlanta gets a decent point guard who is younger than Bibby and is also better defensively. And as far as I know without looking I'm pretty sure Hinrich is payed less, could be wrong though.

For Washington they get Mike Bibby who can play more of a mentor role to John Wall which I think is the best thing in this deal is getting Bibby to teach Wall things. They also get Jordan Crawford who could pan out to be a decent scorer/energy guy off the bench. Maurice Evans who last time I checked is a decent defender/energy guy when he isn't over-played. They also get Atlanta's 2011 1st round pick which will likely end up being somewhere in the high teens/low 20's.

    The Nets/Jazz trade

    Jazz grade : A+

Nets grade : If D-Will stays B-ish, if he leaves... F--

  12. And you can download draft classes with real life college players.

Speaking of the draft classes, does anyone know who has some good ones on the Xbox? Everytime I find a guy who makes several years they are either extremely over-rated to the point of every player picked 1-60 is at least going to be good enough to be a starter or they're real bad that even the top picks never seem to reach their full potential.

  13. I ended up trading for Gasol, didn't win that year, but won the next year after signing Kevin Garnett to the team as a rental player.

Destroyed teams since at every position I had a guy who could shoot mid to 3-point range.

    Darren Collison

    Tyreke Evans

    Malcolm Lee

    Carmelo Anthony

    Omri Casspi

    Kevin Garnett

    Jason Thompson

    Pau Gasol

Seriously each guy can step out to at least 18-20 feet and knock them down every time. More championships please! Unless KG retires... that will suck replacing him even if he is going to be 38 years old.

  14. So need opinions on this trade

I'm the Sacramento Kings in the 2011-2012 season.

This is my roster (explanation of how they got on the team if they're not default roster)

    PG's

Darren Collison (acquired from the Pacers by trading DeMarcus Cousins)

Demetri McCamey (2nd round pick, PG from Illinois)

    Earl Watson (Free Agent pick-up)

    SG's

    Tyreke Evans

    Fransisco Garcia

    SF's

    Carmelo Anthony (Free Agent pick-up)

Gerald Wallace (acquired from the Bobcats by trading Danny Granger from the Cousins trade, came with the Bobcats 2012 1st-round pick)

    Omri Casspi

    Donte Greene

    PF's

    Carl Landry

    Jason Thompson

    Sean Williams (Free Agent pick-up)

    C's

Renardo Sidney (1st round pick, from Mississipi State)

    Samuel Dalembert

    Jeff Foster (Free Agent pick-up)

Basically the philosphy of the team is lots of small ball. Start with a traditional line-up but Gerald Wallace ends up playing a lot of PF while Landry, Thompson, Sidney and to a lesser extent Dalembert share most of the minutes at C with some at PF.

It works against most teams but if teams have a really good big lineup I usually suffer. So I found two trades and I just want opinions on what people think are better.

    Trade 1:

    Sacramento trades

    Gerald Wallace

    Carl Landry

    Jeff Foster

    Los Angeles Lakers trade

    Pau Gasol

    Derrick Caracter

    2013 2nd round pick

I trade away two expiring contracts (although Wallace has a player option) and Carl Landry who I just gave a 4-year deal, for Pau Gasol who has a 4 year deal, Derrick Caracter who is decent and has a cheap contract and a 2013 2nd round pick that will likely end up getting dealt away next season. I really like Pau and I think this allows me to use a more traditional big guy lineup using Thompson, Gasol and Sidney. It also allows Casspi more minutes on the floor as well.

    Trade 2

    Sacramento trades

    Carl Landry

    Jason Thompson

    Donte Greene

    Phoenix trades

    Chris Bosh

    Eniel Polynice

I trade away my two young PF's for a better young PF. I also trade Donte Greene for a rookie SG who is a project. I don't like this one as much as I have to give away both Thompson and Landry but neither of them will likely develop to be as good as Bosh is, plus I get to keep my super 6th man of Gerald Wallace, I stay on the small end but instead of a guy like Landry or Thompson playing the C spot I have Bosh... I think I like the Laker deal better but I just wanted to get some 2nd opinions on it.
