  2. Dont know is the NWA title is in the database still but

Colt Cabana won the title last night at an NWA Hollywood taping

It's NWA Hollywood's title, as Red noted, but Colt Cabana isn't in NWA Hollywood as he already has 3 promotion slots (ROH/PWG/AAW). I would replace AAW with NWA Hollywood and make him the champion.

    Now some updates.

    Chaotic Wrestling:

-CW Heavyweight Champion should be Brian Milanos

-CW New England Champion should be Max Bauer

-Rename Luis Ortiz to Demon Ortiz and add him to CW. Tick menacing.

-Rename Dan Eckos to "Danny E." Make sure Alexxis Nevaeh is his manager. Make his gimmick Obnoxious.

-Rename Franciz to Fala and add him to CW.

-Rename Kid Mikaze to just Mikaze.

    -Tick trainer for Brian Fury.

    Women Superstars Unleashed:

-WSU Tag Team Champions should be Jazz and Marti Bell

-WSU Spirit Champion should be Sassy Stephanie

-Delete the WSU All Guts, No Glory Championship. It was unified with the WSU Championship in January.

    -Angel Orsini should be American

-Both Wikipedia and Cagematch list Jazz as 37 years old, not 34.

-Give Jennifer Cruz a loyalty with Kevin Knight.

  3. - Mike Rapada should be 44, not 35. I would make him a non-wrestler (he hasn't wrestled since 2006).

    - Tab Jackson should have a blood relative relationship with Max Buck, Jeremy Buck, and Malachi Jackson. She is the cousin of the three brothers. Make her a heel in NWA Hollywood.

    - Nelson Creed should be 32, not 24. His birth month is June.

    - Make TJP's gimmicks in ROH and NWA Hollywood Luchadore.

    - Make Babi Slymm's gimmick Cool

    - Make Gabriel Gallo, Hawaiian Lion, and Navajo Warrior's gimmicks Old School Heels.

    Add the following tag teams:

    - "Pretty Perfect" with Peter Avalon and Brandon Parker. 1exp. Inactive

    - "Negro Division" with Willie Mack and Jerome Robinson. 10 exp. Active

    - "International Assassins" with The Sheik and Chris Gray with 1 exp. Inactive.

-Tick trainer for B-Boy and Mike Rapada

-Ray Rosas should be heel with Old School Heel as his gimmick

  5. I noticed that Rachel Summerlyn has a 75 for brawl? It surprised me when I looked into NWA Hollywood's "GrappleFanatics" website to find her as the second highest brawler in the promotion. I'm pretty sure this isn't a typo, as I know Bill looks at Shimmer a lot, but what warrants a stat that high? Can someone clarify?

Simply put, she's an awesome brawler. She is great at working strong style brawls.

As for a new promotion, obviously I would suggest NWA F1. Nearly all of the workers are in the data, and those who aren't, I am supplying the stats for. They run regularly also, once a month, and they are a local promotion so I can keep the info up-to-date.

Ok thanks. I checked some of the other women in the game that had 70+ for brawl and saw people like Del Ray and LuFisto, but I never knew she was that great at the strong style like you said. Overall, I just wasn't familiar with her work. Thanks for clearing that up.

I would understand people taking WLW out, however I object. I use them quite often in games, and while yes while their site seems a bit dated there is a reason.

Harley Race's wife, B.J., was the moderator of the site and last year she passed away. As a result, Harley took a backseat and some time off. In recent weeks they have started having more shows, and business is picking up. Their current champion is Trevor Murdoch, who I believe is still a trainer at the WLW Wrestling Academy. I will be attending a show in Mid-April and after that time I might be able to get some updated stats, if people could hold off.

If not, I understand, but like some smaller promotions, you need smaller ones to make the game better in my opinion. I don't see how it stands out among others, its not a niche federation, so I say keep it. If I can get some stats sooner I will.

I'm pretty sure that Wrestlicious is on its way out next, and I was only suggesting WLW if for some reason WL somehow was active again. Besides NWA F1, I don't really know any other promotions that would be worthy of putting in the game, so I think WLW will stay for now.

  6. Here's the remaining staff left to be put in the game for NWA Hollywood (Stu Stone, who's no longer with NWA-H but I would put him in anyway, Chris Massie, Angelo Trinidad, Jeff Resnick, Jonny Loquasto):

    Name: Stu Stone

    Gender: Male

    Birth Month: November

    Age: 33

    Employer: None

    Contract: None

    Position: Announcer

    Wage: 20,000

    Talent: 42

    Backstage: 80

    Name: Chris Massie

    Gender: Male

    Birth Month: Unknown

    Age: 30

    Employer: NWA Hollywood

    Contract: None

    Position: Referee

    Wage: 10,000

    Talent: 56

    Backstage: 85

    Name: Angelo Trinidad

    Gender: Male

    Birth Month: June

    Age: 27

    Employer: NWA Hollywood

    Contract: None

    Position: Production

    Wage: 20,000

    Talent: 66

    Backstage: 90

    Name: Jeff Resnick

    Gender: Male

    Birth Month: Unknown

    Age: 28

    Employer: NWA Hollywood

    Contract: None

    Position: Production

    Wage: 15,000

    Talent: 60

    Backstage: 90

    Name: Jonny Loquasto

    Gender: Male

    Birth Month: July

    Age: 30

    Employer: NWA Hollywood

    Contract: None

    Position: Production

    Wage: 15,000

    Talent: 62

    Backstage: 85

    Further Updates:

-Remove Lizzy Valentine (Kandi Kisses) from NWA Hollywood

-Add Tab Jackson to NWA Hollywood as an opener

    -Tick trainer for Naoya Ogawa

-Tick SS Look for Tommy Wilson. He should be a heel.

  7. With all this promotion talk, I for one say to remove World League Wrestling from the game. Their website seems very dated, there roster in game is very small, and I doubt anyone has updated it in quite some time. It seems to be more of a wrestling school than promotion (although I know it is technically a promotion) which make for a lot of missing stats for people. It just seems to "stick out" for lack of a better term with these updates. With a plethora of new, worthy promotions to put in, it seems realistic to get rid of WLW.

Although, I wouldn't mind taking Wrestlicious out of the game. I don't know where they stand as far as the TV contract goes and all, but whatever. It can also be good when we change all the wrestlers names back to their old ones, because I find myself searching hard when I look at for instance some Shimmer alumni and find there WL gimmick (also, when I was updating NWA Hollywood, I noticed Lizzy Valentine as Kandi Kisses for example). Not saying its a bad thing, though.

    Back to the update:

I noticed that Rachel Summerlyn has a 75 for brawl? It surprised me when I looked into NWA Hollywood's "GrappleFanatics" website to find her as the second highest brawler in the promotion. I'm pretty sure this isn't a typo, as I know Bill looks at Shimmer a lot, but what warrants a stat that high? Can someone clarify?

  8. -Tick trainer for Johnny Goodtime

-Add Andrew Hellman to NWA Hollywood as a face. Untick SS Look.

-Add Tommy Wilson to NWA Hollywood

-Add GQ Gallo to NWA Hollywood. Deactivate both Native Blood tag teams.

-Add the stable "The Standard" to NWA Hollywood. Members are Adam Pearce (leader), Austin Aries, Peter Avalon, and Joey Kaos Munoz.

    -Hawaiian Lion should be heel

    -Buggy should be face

    -Babi Slymm should be face

-Add Excalibur to NWA Hollywood as a non-wrestler.

-Add a tag team of Rasche Brown and Babi Slymm called "Brown and Slymm" with 3 exp.

-Remove Arik Cannon from NWA Hollywood. Not on the roster/hasn't appeared on events.

-Remove Nelson Creed from NWA Hollywood. Same as Arik.

-Add Peter Avalon to NWA Hollywood as a lower midcard heel with Cocky as his gimmick. Also add him to PWG with the same info

-Add Ray Rosas to NWA Hollywood as a lower midcard face.

-Add Brandon Parker to NWA Hollywood as a lower midcard face with No Gimmick Needed as his gimmick.

-Add Willie Mack to PWG as a lower midcard face with Old School Face as his gimmick.

Tick trainer for the following people:

    -Charles Mercury

    -Ronin

    -Candice LaRae

    -Scott Lost

    -Johnny Paradise

    -Topgun Talwar

The other NWA talent (Todd Chandler, Rico Dynamite, Famous B, Nick Madrid, Mikey O'Shea) plus the staff I'll have stats for in the coming days.

  10. Here's stats for Atsushi Sawada from what I could find of him:

    Full Name: Atsushi Sawada

    Shortened Name: Sawada

    Gender: Male

    Birth Month: August

    Age: 27

    Weight: Heavyweight (5'11 231)

    Attitude: 85

    Behavior: 85

    Tick shooting ability

Add him to NWA Hollywood as a guess a midcarder (?) with Martial Arts as his gimmick (face) and make him the NWA Heritage Champion

-Add Mike Mongoose (referee) to NWA Hollywood.

-I also believe Donald Trump should be taken out of the game. It seems to be long overdue in my opinion.

  11. -- In the "Where Are They Now?" files, former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall now works as a hair stylist for the WISP Hair Studio in Parker, Colorado. She announced last April that she split with Bobby Lashley, whom she had one son with.

Remove the love relationship between Kristal Lashley and Bobby Lashley. I would also rename Kristal to Kristal Marshall, as "Lashley" was her TNA gimmick.

  12. Also regarding the Royal Rumble post:

I don't see Booker T (in WWE)? I see Kevin Nash, but not Booker.

Damn... Didn't assign him to WWE... I changed his wage, gimmick and everything else... Even marked it down in my spreadsheets... Sorry about that.

    -Bill

No problem, nothing a quick edit can't fix.

I'll probably see if I can get some stats for some of the missing NWA Hollywood roster, but for now:

-Tick trainer for Lil' Cholo, Joey Kaos Munoz, and Luther Reigns

-Give Willie Mack loyalties to Lil' Cholo, TJP, and Aaron Aguilera

-Give Babi Slymm loyalties to Adam Pearce and Luther Reigns

-Give Adam Pearce loyalties to Ace Steel and Danny Dominion

-Switch the relationship of Rocky Romero and Togi Makabe to loyalty.

  13. I wanna get into Helmet and other similar bands. I obviously know "Unsung" and really like the chorus of "Crashing Foreign Cars". I've got "Size Matters" and "Meantime" (their respective albums) to listen to and have also heard all of their latest album (released this year) on Spotify.

I've got Meantime as well and the only other album I also like is Betty. Some of their later stuff I'm not too into. So I would look into Betty.

As for bands with a similar sound, check out The Jesus Lizard. I have the album Goat which is good. Maybe even the Melvins, but of course they're more sludge than that alternative rock, post-hardcore(?) "Helmet" sound.

  14. "Thank God For Mental Illness" is probably your best bet as far as BJM albums go. I'd definitely stick with stuff from around that time period for now, as their more recent stuff is a lot different, and harder to get into - the last couple of albums take a few listens to get your head around, and are really nothing like what they're known for - I'm assuming you've seen Dig!, right? They don't really sound like they did in that film any more, unfortunately. "Who Killed Sgt. Pepper?" is a good album, but much closer in sound to something like Spacemen 3 or My Bloody Valentine than the kind of stuff Jonestown are more known for.

As for individual songs, personal favourites are "Stars", "Not If You Were The Last Dandy", "That Girl Suicide", "(David Bowie I Love You) Since I Was Six" and "Open Heart Surgery",

Yeah, all that I've heard from them is their early-mid 90's work. The only part I've seen from Dig! is when they get into that fight, but whatever. So you're saying that their recent stuff is more shoegaze sounding then psychadelic?

  15. Nine Inch Nails?

I love "Hurt" but I really haven't listened to them as much as i want to.

If you prefer the more ambient, mellow kind of industrial, go with the newer stuff like With Teeth, Year Zero, or The Slip.

If you want the down-and-dirty industrial metal stuff, The Downward Spiral and Broken.

THe Fragile is also good, but may not be a good starting point as it's a double album.

My own personal favorite NIN songs are probably "Wish," "The Fragile," and "Survivalism."

    --------

Now, for me: Queens of the Stone Age. I enjoy Go With The Flow, but that's all I've really heard.

For Queens, if you're into Songs for the Deaf (Go With the Flow, as you say) I would go with Rated R, it's very similar sounding and has a wide variety of songs to get into. Or you could always just start with Songs for the Deaf, as that's arguably their best album.

I've been getting into The Brian Jonestown Massacre recently, any good albums I should start out with? I've heard Methodrone is good to start with, but I'm liking some songs from "Thank God for Mental Illness" and "Take It From The Man!"

EDIT: For the guy looking into blues, if you're looking for electric blues, I would throw in Buddy Guy and Albert King. If you're looking for delta blues my personal favorites are John Lee Hooker (as mentioned), Lightning Hopkins, Skip James, and Mississippi John Hurt. I listen to a shit load of blues, so it all depends on what you're looking for. I gots tons of recommendations.
