  1. Well we best not name any Newcastle, Sunderland, Tottenham, Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Leeds, Bolton associated players as rival fans all frequent this board and will veto any decision.

However I'm going to break my own rule, hope the Blackburn fans don't see this, and offer up another name... Jay-Jay Okocha?

I can remember watching African Cup of Nations highlights when I was 9. Nigeria were fulfilling the 'France 2002/2010' role, and I can distinctly remember Okocha grumpily refusing to be interviewed by anyone. And I mean grumpily, not just politely declining. If I'd seen it today, I'd be more understanding, but at the age of nine I thought it was the height of rudeness. Thus, I still have some lingering dislike of Okocha. So I'm vetoing this one, and I'm not even a Blackburn fan.

I think the suggestions of Solskjaer, Bobby Robson, DiMatteo and Zola are the most likeable suggestions. On the Chelsea theme, who dislikes Tore Andre Flo? Personally, I adore Owen Coyle as well. Any bitter Burnley fans on the board might shoot this one down though.

  2. Last time we let a promising manager from the lower leagues in, we had to bring in Fat Sam to fix everything.

Don't tell me you wouldn't have had more patience with Paul Ince if he'd worn a hat and a kravat like Tisdale does.

I'm not seriously suggesting that he's the right man for the job in the situation that Blackburn are in, more that I'd love to see him and other managers of his ilk receive a shot at the big time at some point in the near future. As of right now, I'd be going for Mark Hughes and Steve Bruce if I was in charge, maybe someone like Billy Davies as a dark horse?

  3. I thought it was decent, like a mash up of 1984 and the Network revamped for the 21st century. It wasn't quite as shocking and unpredictable as the National Anthem, and it was noticeably slow in places, but I wouldn't call it "pathetic." Maybe underwhelming, perhaps uninspiring, but still a very watchable program.

  4. I'm sorry. Great man, great footballer but if he was a real man he wouldn't have taken the cowards way out and left his wife a widow.

    Die. Horribly.

Oh yeah poor Gary speed life was so horrible for him wasn't it. Rich, loved by everyone and he got strictly come dancing tickets. So yeah what was so bad that he took the cowards ways out. Dead or not he's a coward. People in

Life have real problems every day. So you,ll get no poor speed from me. A shame yes but i won't feel sad for him.

The people he leaves behind yes.

None of us have any idea, nor do we deserve to, as to what was going on in his personal life that drove him to do such an act. Saying "he was popular and he had lots of money" doesn't automatically mean his life was sunshine and rainbows. If you think it was, you've got no emotional depth whatsoever.

  5. You are a spanner in the threads works.

My bad humor must be spreading. Anyway who cares who Sunderland appoint they will always be a poor mans Newcastle

Except for the past three seasons, where they've finished above Newcastle in the table. dry.gif

jack, remember when I said I'd take you under my wing.

Well, now you've just been disowned. (Y)

I think if you look back, you'll find that post was just a figment of your imagination.
