  1. Excellent perspective of the Waterloo City Center. Nothing wrong with the apartment buildings; they make a good backdrop. Kitchener City Hall is alright as well. Excellent angle at 45 degrees. Cambridge is kinda bland without visualizing the building as a whole. If you had taken it back some 30-35 feet, then it would have been better, IMHO. Brantford isn't too noteworthy, other than the pyramid overhead.

We go back all the way to RKO Television in New York... From the mid-1970s to 1987, there was one logo that was synonymous with Channel 9 and this was it... Originally based in New York, WOR-TV moved to its current location in Secaucus, New Jersey in 1983... In 1987, it was repackaged as WWOR-TV and a new logo emerged with it... The station text has been tweaked a bit due to not finding a font compatible enough to give a more accurate display... Enjoy...

On a side note... This coming from Wikipedia.org...

On the week of September 6, 1976 (my birth date), channel 9 offered programming from Thames Television during primetime, completely presented as if Thames was actually running WOR-TV. Many of these shows had never before been seen on American television, and one of them provided America's first look at Thames' greatest export -- The Benny Hill Show. Also included that week was an episode of Man About The House, which would be reinvented the following year on ABC as Three's Company. WOR-TV aired episodes of the BBC's science-fiction series Doctor Who during this period as well.
  3. Gentlemen, for the first time I think ever, I have designed the NWA logo that was the standard in the 1980s. You used to see it every Saturday Night on World Championship Wrestling on TBS and now I bring to you this logo as a keepsake for some of your future banners.

They are in PNG format, if you need a PSD of it, I will be glad to upload for you as well.

Links have been taken down on a temporary basis.

    Lemme know what you think.

  4. Notice how there were only 4 cats talking about the MLS playoffs which says something about the popularity of the world's greatest game along these shores. If anyone had ACTUALLY AND REALLY cared about the MLS, don't you think we would have had moe than 7 posts along this thread?? :shifty:

  5. If it were up to me, I would incorporate a 5-minute continuous overtime period with each team having their full complement of 3 timeouts. If it remains tied, then the game is a tie in the standings and we would all go home happy and drunk. (H)

  6. You'll be lucky if you find ESWF around anymore. Shortly after they came out with v4.14 of ESWF, it's like they disappeared. But it was a good sim to run a fictional fed. You could try TNM 7 SE, but you would have to pay an exorbitant amount of dough and wait a good long while to get your activation code. The guy who designed the program, Oliver Copp, is notorious for slow-replying to everyone who purchased TNM 7 FE and SE in the last three years alone.

EDIT: There is a link to ESWF, it doesn't look like it's been updated in a while but have a look... ESWF Website

  7. I have never really gotten behind Lacrosse, but the business model for the CBA that they have been using the last few years is horrendous at best, hideous at worst. They need to come up with a 6 to 10 year plan, with player raises based on merit and statistical comparison against what he did the previous year and/or against whomever is competing in the preferred stat category. The NLL does not have a stable financial windfall to account for every player in the league. They have to do with whatever resources they have without the possibility of filing for bankruptcy.
