  1. Chandler is actually a pretty good pickup for OKC. He's a proven big in the middle with their sea of unproven Senes and Swifts. I'm a Bulls fan so we'll see which Tyson Chandler they get, the Chris Paul near all-star or Ben Wallace-lite.

    but seriously...

    PG - Westbrook

    SG - Durant

    SF - Green

PF - This one they have a hole at for the foreseeable future. I guess you throw Collison in there

    C - Chandler

If they luck into Blake Griffin this summer that team will be SICK in a couple years.

  2. I like that trade. Heat doesn't need capspace until 2010, by which time O'Neal's contract will have expired. Also, it's a big body. Preferable to the other trade that had been discussed of Marion & Beasley for Amare Stoudemire & someone else. You could still end up with Stoudemire in 2010 without giving up Beasley.

I think the hidden key in all of this is that Miami gets Jamario Moon, who could be a very solid 6th man off the bench behind Beasley.

Apparently Moon is going to start in the short term. Miami's coach wants to keep developing Beasley as a 4 who gets spot minutes at the 3. Apparently if Beasley buffs up he can start to play some at center.

  3. So I beat Chaos last night before going out for drinks and am wondering if I want to do the hidden stuff with the really tough dungeons. The GBA version was RIDICULOUSLY easy. Early in the game I grinded for gold and did a fair amount of leveling as a result and I never had a problem with any of the bosses at all. I don't think I've ever had a game where leveling was so easy. I didn't play much of the original FF mainly because I was like 7 when it came out and I didn't have the patience for those graphics back then. It's a decent plot for such an old game and it was fun enough, but at least the GBA game was incredibly easy.

Personally, I'd rather just go on to FFII.

  4. I put Yuffie as my favourite character of all, so I was just wondering. :P I manage to find her constantly hilarious whilst simultaneously wishing to bash her over the head with some kind of heavy mallet. I felt this dichotomy was an achievement deserving of my accolade. >_>

Hence the guilty pleasure. I don't really like her as a character, yet I would always have her in my party just because she'd add the most random shit to situations.

  5. Favourite Male Character: Edgar (FFVI)

Favourite Female Character: Yuna (FFX) First "love interest" I didn't want to strangle.

    Favourite Hero: Cecil (FFIV)

    Favourite Villain: Kefka (FFVI)

    Favourite Summon: Ramuh

Favourite Cut Scene: Opening of FFVII

Favourite Limit Break: Dolphin Kick! (FFVII)

    Favourite Side Quest: Wutai (FFVII)

    Favourite Graphics: FFX

    Favourite Air Ship: Highwind

    Favourite Story: FFVI

    Guilty Pleasure: Yuffie (FFVII)

  6. Right now I think Sylar will find out who his father is and it will be some kind of mega swerve. It WILL be an old character I bet on it. They love to do that stuff. No idea on who Claire's mystery contact is but probably it's her boytoy from season 2 I would take a stab at.

Also I can see Peter's new ability of absorbtion eventully building to where he can get more than one. They wrote themselves into a corner by allowing him to absorb ANY ability that he is near to the point where for season's 2 and half of 3 they had to take him out of the equation because he was too powerful. This is their way of keeping him there, in the loop and lowering his power level down a notch. He's very good in this role so he does need to appear more.

Also Mini-Sylar is his brother btw. Someone that has abilities half a mile from where his supposed dad's work is? As Sylar said that unless god has improved his sense of humor :) Not a coincidence.

I am so on board with this season potentially being great. These first two episodes have developed nicely but the future as it was shown previously I believe is changed. So Daphne dying from the Nuclear Sylar and all that other stuff is down the tubes. Daphne dying is going to send Parkman over the edge. Obviously because old Parkman wouldn't have done what new, Pissed off and i'm gonna kill people Parkman did on the hillside. Noah is the same character he's been all along. He knew this was happening so he made a deal with the devil to make sure Claire was safe. He didn't heel turn as much as he had to do things that he didn't want to, to protect his daughter.

I just have a hunch that Sylar's dad is going to wind up being that invisible guy from Season One. I think his name was given as Claude Rains, but I don't think that was REALLY his name. He's still alive, right? I'll have to go back and watch the first episode from this season and see if the guys that attack Sylar have heat goggles or something.
  7. Awesome, awesome opening show. Confusing as fuck at points but what do you expect with Lost?

    Regarding the finish,

Who was that woman? I know she was the woman who told Desmond about time travel, but is that all we know about her?

There are a lot of clues and speculation that she's Daniel's mother. The chalkboard is familiar, the physics, etc. Either that or she's Judi Dench's character from Chronicles of Riddick...
  8. Last night's ep might be the best one I've seen since Season One. It FELT like Season One. I don't know if I should put this in spoiler tags, but...

    "Cake!"

Freaking awesome. Heroes and Sarah Connor Chronicles are two shows I'll be sad to see cancelled within the year.

  9. Not sure how much of a sacred cow this might be on this board but...

Wrestling Spirit and whichever TEW came out after the original one. I could never get into either of those game whereas I STILL play EWR to this day. I just think there's way too much going on in both of those games and I always had more fun just staying out of the loop and simulation to see who people would book as champions or who would sign where. Call me old fashioned, but I just miss the emails from Mr. McMahon saying he didn't really click with Shawn Michaels, why don't you try putting me in a program with Rikishi instead?

  10. I don't think Angela is REALLY Sylar's mother, I mean...seriously. I think it's just Angela using what appears to be a power of persuasion (which she appeared to use on Nathan's wife last season) to make Sylar listen to her and basically work for her. Which seemed to be hinted at in the previews for next week (or the season?).

However, Angela already stated her power is that she can see the future through her dreams. I can't see a connection between those two powers, or how an evolution of her power could lead to that.

I hope she isn't actually his mum. Otherwise, it'd be silly to the level of a soap opera.

At the rate they're going, first Claire, now Sylar, maybe they will soon realize that EVERYONE is a Petrelli. Angela's real name is EVE and she and Adam are immortal and have bee naround forever! OMG!
  11. For an honest opinion on the background, while it is something different break up the monotony, it just doesn't work for the type of graphics we and you are all making. It's not a question of 'ugly' or 'bad-looking,' it's a question of practicality.

With Kody's background, the cuts have to be absolutely PERFECT to not look like crap. The warm colors in the background make even a halfway decent cut look sloppy as hell. The KyKy background makes it much easier to hide some of the flaws inherent in cutting. This is because of the grayscale blending in much more seamlessly with the edges. With the warm color Kody background, it can be very jarring. With lesser known workers, it can be especially helpful to use the KyKy because the source pics are often of much worse quality.

As always, this is only an opinion, but it is something I've noticed. The Kody bg can work for really really really high quality cuts, but for anything suspect, KyKy is the safer option.

  12. The James before Lily thing was something that JK's editor made a mistake on. It was originally written the correct way, but the editor figured that James was always supposed to come out before Lily because it was standard cannon that it was first James... then Lily... yadda yadda yadda... not taking into account the 'reverse' nature of things. It was fixed in later versions and was simply a mistake, nothing more.

  13. You watched the second half of a film first, then the start? You watched it backwards?

To be fair, it does come in two parts...

Even if they are on the same disc, and quite clearly numbered (25 and 26). :shifty:

I suppose if you watched them the other way round, the ending would have been "OMG Asuka's dead WTF" instead. >_>

Along with the "hey, nobody's orange gloop anymore!" bit.

  14. The End of Evangelion:

    "OMG Asuka's alive WTF"

Although really the only reason this is a swerve is because the first time you watch this movie you don't know what the fuck's going on by this point anyway, so pretty much anything would come as a huge shock at this stage. :shifty:
