  1. I watched all of this on day 1. It's the shit. I hope we get a season 2. I wouldn't even mind if it drifts away from the story we know. Stranger Things could easily be an anthology story filled with 80's sci-fi/horror awesomeness.

  2. I definitely got vibes of Capt. Rhodes' death from Day of the Dead, with the death of

    Deana's son, Aiden.

I half expected him to start telling the walkers to choke on his innards.

Day of the Dead was Nicotero's first major film as a special effects guy.

  3. CSI: Las Vegas is on it's fifteenth season. Smallville was ten years, Friends was ten years, Frasier ten, Cheers ten, Law & Order SVU fifteen years, South Park seventeen years.

Walking Dead fits in nicely with that grouping as a "television phenomenon." I don't think Walking Dead will be working towards an "end game" anytime soon.

  4. This is morbid, but I was kind of okay with Clara's character receiving a tragic end. Either her choosing to stay with dream Danny, or her refusing to wake up from Santa's Sleigh. I think it would've have brought a whole new dimension to the Doctor/companion model if suddenly one of his companions didn't walk away from the adventures without a problem. I would have also been okay with old Clara dying peacefully in the Doctor's arms and him taking a moment to look at pictures and scrapbooks of this terrific life she lived away from him. Make it clear that even though she was without the doctor, she's fine. Give her a big family. People lose first loves all the time and re-marry later in life.

I'd really like to see Capaldi with one or two younger companions. I think him taking a brother & sister on would be ideal. Make them younger so the fan base can't hope for any sort of romantic involvement between them and the Doctor. I just love how Capaldi interacts with children.

  5. Good episode. Poor cliffhanger.

I wish Glen/Maggie/etc's fate was left up in the air. Also wishful thinking had me hoping Morgan was going to be the other person in the train car. Cliffhanger could've been something as simple as Carol/Tyrese/Judith coming across the final Terminus sign and getting excited that they're so close.

  6. The ending.

POND! I teared up. Peter Capaldi will be splendid I'm sure. That's gotta be one of the most stressful things for any English actor to ever attempt, the first few lines after a Doctor Who regeneration. Like, that's it. That's your introduction. It comes, everytime, after an emotional farewell to a beloved actor, and you just gotta hope that you don't make all the viewers go "...meh."

    The regeneration.

In hindsight, I kind of wish that when Clara went back in to the TARDIS and found 11 young again, that he was using the same cloaking device he used earlier on her eyes to make it appear he was wearing clothes. He had infact, regenerated, but was keeping Clara from seeing the real him. Could have had a real nice moment of Clara explaining that she'll love him no matter what he looks like and then had him drop the disguise to reveal Capaldi. I only say this because I don't like that he paused the regeneration after that epic speech where he took down the Dalek war ship with his regeneration powers. Imagine Matt Smith acting like Peter Capaldi's Doctor, and Clara seeing right through it as it truly not being him. His initial "Hello." made me think that was the direction they were going to go.

  7. Heads up, not all gifts dropped by visitors get placed near the tree. I've had to utilize the feature with the move tool where you can make buildings/decorations/people invisible, and have found presents placed behind buildings where I otherwise wouldn't have found them.

  8. I really hope the spinoff is a summer season series. Could really use it to do some fun things leading in to the fall premiere of TWD. but I also think it needs to be completely different than TWD. Maybe set in another country, definitely at least another area of the U.S. like the north. Hell, all original characters and beginning right at the start of the outbreak could be cool.

  9. Gotta be a 3rd world disease, which I think is really really interesting. It further shows the deterioration of mankind if suddenly all these illnesses and diseases that these people have only read about in history books are now coming back because there's no defense against them.

  11. That trailer combined with the new showrunner saying they're going to focus on character development, leads me to believe that this is going to be the best season yet.

    Also... just speculation...

Carl is feeding the walkers. Less people = less problems.
