  1. http://m.ign.com/articles/2014/04/06/wwes-roman-reigns-on-wrestlemania-the-shields-success-and-growing-up-in-the-industry This says Hippie is right about the Shield being faces now.
  2. http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/another-wwe-departure-confirmed/#.U0K5IajbJCY Remove Ezekiel Jackson from WWE and change his name to Rycklon Stephens. http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/Jeff_Jarrett_Announces_His_New_Promotion_Global_Force_Wrestling.html Jeff Jarrett just announced his new promotion, Global Force Wrestling. Are we going to put it on the May update? I seriously doubt we'll have enough info in time for that. Just the workers is a major issue for me. 400 in the "database" which I'm assuming means that he wants to get a look at and have try out, but who knows. It is exciting news, especially the fan interactivity bit...
  3. Did he actually sign? I hadn't read a confirmation yet. I figured they'd wait to see how he did at the induction, because that could have gone horribly wrong. But if he is only going to be behind the scenes then we should bump him to staff like Slaughter, Luger, etc. We'll just have to see how that plays out.
  4. I agree with most of these, but... Del Rey was asked if she is going to the main roster and said she would take the job and "that's why we train" and Brookside's wife posted on his Facebook that he was taking a job with WWE/NXT for 6 months, that was in September so it should be over so who knows what's going on there, but he still had several matches last year. So those two shouldn't be non-wrestlers yet. Katz had a "career ending" match about a year ago and hasn't gotten in the ring since that I can find. So maybe for him. I'd leave the Punk thing alone for now. Without any official word from either, I'm still thinking that the whole thing is a work. I wouldn't give Warrior a contract. He said at the HoF speech that there would not be "one more match." He hinted at something coming, but he didn't give any indication to what it would be or if it would involve WWE. Also add a friendship with Linda McMahon and Warrior based on the speech. I think the Shield thing needs to wait. I see Ambrose turning tonight though. I could be wrong, but Wrestlemania, especially the 30 year anniversary Wrestlemania and first Wrestlemania on the WWE Network is going to bring some major developments with it.
  5. Can anyone give me a cropped version of this on kyky background?
  6. Looks like it's time to knock the dust off this thread: Anyone got stats for Colt Toombs? Also need stat suggestions for Toby Keith to go with my next game, which I've got a poll up for too if you've got the time to give me some votes http://www.ewbattleground.com/index.php/topic/93616-double-js-new-promotion/ Thanks!
  7. Hope you get to feeling better soon Bill. Thanks for the update!
  8. I just stumbled on to this but it looks like Rey Scorpion should me Rey Escorpion and his age should be 35 not 25.
  9. For people playing as WWE I can definitely see its usefulness as is. However if you add a promotion, say something like Resistance Pro that doesn't have many workers in the game or a fantasy promotion then you just have to wait a week and stack some great talent as WWE fires them. There isn't much work to add NXT as a playable show to be honest. As for the NXT talent not being released if they are no longer developmental talents I am putting that to thest. Day 1 WWE fired: Veronica Lane, Rachelle St. Clair, Buddy Murphy, Judas Devlin, Mickey Keegan, Danny E, Ryan Drago, Adam Mercer, Danny Burch (technically on NXT), Shaun Rickers, Ryan Katz, Day 2 WWE fired: Becky Lynch, Enzo Amore (technically on NXT), Camacho (on NXT), Kalisto, Drake Younger (I added him to WWE), Sara Del Rey, Solomon Crowe, Sean Waltman (released), Devin Taylor (NXT interviewer), Sawyer Fulton, Alexis Bliss Day 3 WWE fired: Travis Tyler (technically on NXT), Baron Corbin (technically on NXT), Angelo Dawkins (technically on NXT), Bret Hart (released), Kevin Nash (released), Kendall Skye (technically on NXT), Eden Stiles (NXT ring announcer), JoJo Offerman (technically on NXT), Colin Cassady (NXT), Mojo Rawley (NXT), Lana (NXT) Day 4 WWE fired: Charlotte (NXT), Mick Foley (released), Jason Jordan (technically on NXT), Sylvester LeFort (technically on NXT), Ric Flair (released), Bayley (NXT), Scott Dawson (technically on NXT), CJ Parker (NXT), Oliver Grey, Tyler Breeze (NXT), Aiden English (NXT), Day 5 WWE fired: Alexander Rusev (NXT), Sasha Banks (NXT), Adam Rose (NXT), Tye Dillinger, Viktor (NXT), Emma, Byron Saxton, Mason Ryan (NXT), Paige (NXT), Eva Marie, Yoshi Tatsu Day 6 WWE fired: Tamina, Curt Hawkins, Joey Mercury, Ezekiel Jackson, Konnor (NXT), JTG, Corey Graves (NXT), Aksana, Bo Dallas (NXT), Alex Riley, Fernando Day 7 WWE fired: Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Jinder Mahal, Great Khali, Cameron Lynn, Diego, Summer Rae, David Otunga, Xavier Woods, Tensai, Naomi Night So it fires them no matter what then? That's almost disappointing. Oh well I'll keep making stars out of scraps then.
  10. Does that apply to Bad Bones as well? I know he did the Maximum Impact tour, but he's not listed on their roster (though Sting and Rampage are so who knows how accurate it is) and wikipedia (not the most reliable either) says Sam Shaw is the only Gut Check winner still employed by TNA.
  11. For people playing as WWE I can definitely see its usefulness as is. However if you add a promotion, say something like Resistance Pro that doesn't have many workers in the game or a fantasy promotion then you just have to wait a week and stack some great talent as WWE fires them. It won't let me multiquote on my phone, but Mkpunk pointed out that a lot of NXT people haven't been on TV yet. So what about making it a brand split for the ones that have and leaving a dev territory NXT for the ones that haven't?
  12. I've been gone for a while so I don't know if this has been brought up before or not, but why not make NXT a brand split with WWE? With the game's limitations it really makes more sense I think because: 1) Most of the time WWE automatically fires its developmental talent at the start of a new game. 2) They have their own show on the WWE Network and their own titles. Neither can be reflected in game as a developmental territory. 3) The workers regularly appear on WWE's main shows anyway (Emma is actually making an appearance at Wrestlemania XXX) which isn't possible in game. Thoughts?
  13. I know I've seen this before, but I'm not having any luck finding it. What size are the worker's pics? I'm doing a few custom characters for my BY2G scenario and I want it to have pics to be more complete. Thanks!
  14. I meant to post this this morning, but forgot in my hurry to get out the door. Stats-wise I decided on a base number to be divided between brawling, speed, technical, and charisma. Then bonuses for martial arts, amateur wrestling, wrestling school, and a slight speed bonus for lightweights. This has been giving much more realistic stats than my previous attempts which were either to good or to bad. I'm planning on putting up a small bio for each on this thread too so you kind of have a feel for the workers as you'll be making yourself as one of the founders (can be a worker, non-worker, manager however you want to do it) and I felt you should have some background info on them.
  15. Just a quick update. I'm playing with some ideas to generate realistic and fair stats, because I have a tendency to make workers WAY too good, even if they shouldn't be. Staff is finished, sponsors are finished, worker bios are finished I just have to assign the stats, managers/valets I have a few notes but I'm not sure if I'll put any in. When the August update comes out, I'll plug them into that to test it out and then plan to release it with the September update. Anyone know how to make the Kyky pictures for the workers? I'm thinking about pulling some random pictures off the internet so we have a face with a name for all of the workers too.
  16. That can get really annoying. A lot of times they're people that were trained by someone else. You may be willing to quit a promotion because they fire your teacher, but is your teacher going to quit for one of the dozens, or hundreds, of students he's trained? Especially if you take someone that's a relative nobody and push them to the main event at a global promotion? That being said, I just go smoke while I wait for the thing to load so it's no big deal for me either way...
  17. Charly Manson is still in as a non-wrestler. Since he's serving 15 years for assaulting a couple of cops he probably just needs to be removed.
  18. I found several matches with it spelled Sabunim. All were from IPW Hardcore Wrestling, but I can't find any pictures of him or video of the matches.
  19. I'm thinking about making a scenario for a backyard to global challenge. My big problem with the challenge has been the workers. A true backyard promotion isn't going to get anyone that's actually been anywhere and done anything, especially not for free. Since the workers are normally people no one has ever heard of and the fans are normally just family and friends I'm thinking about cooking up a couple of dozen custom workers for people to choose from. I'm going to use Bill's most current update, adding in the custom workers, some local sponsors, and a few staff members. The scenario is: In 1998 7 friends (one of whom would be the player) decide start their very own backyard promotion, Trampoline Extreme! After breaking the trampoline, and drawing the interests of classmates, they decide to pool their resources and built an actual ring and form Backyard Championship Wrestling. While they have a great deal of fun, graduation comes along and in the summer of 2003 the ring is stripped down and put in storage as the workers go their separate ways. Fast forward to 2013 and the Class of 2003 10 year reunion. The original 7 and some of the BCW workers realize that no matter what they've accomplished in the last decade, they still haven't lived their dreams of becoming wrestling superstars. Once again pooling their resources they decide to take the risk, dust off the old ring, and bring to life their own promotion. They've spent their initial investment fixing up the old ring, renting a building, and buying pads, outfits, and title belts. They have nothing but a dream and a handful of wrestlers left at their disposal. Can they go all the way to the top? My current roster has: 20 men (12 from their high school days and 8 new recruits) 6 with high school and/or collegiate wrestling backgrounds 6 with actual wrestling school backgrounds 5 completely self taught 3 competitive fighters (MMA, Bando, and Pankration) 4 women (2 from high school and 2 new recruits) 1 from a wrestling school 1 self taught 2 mud wrestling strippers So my first question is would anyone be interested in this? The second would be what kind of stats do you want to see with the workers? By that I mean, how good can you get teaching yourself or how good should they be coming out of wrestling school? Thirdly, should I put in any managers? Any other input is welcome too.
  20. It's proving to be problematic as there are at least 3 people using the name Kid Krazy; the Scottish backyard worker we're looking for, one who's in the data under his real name (Brandon Bonham,) and another one from Massachusetts. It looks like he might be retired anyway, something about internal bleeding. I'd say probably 55 in brawl, 62 in speed, 54 technical, 75 stiffness, 70 selling, 40 behavior, 70 attitude, 5 over, and no idea on charisma. Tick trainer and high spots. Echoside is his finisher, looks like a swanton bomb from what I can tell.
  21. Actually I looked at all 3 of these guys last night while doing World Cup research! Augh I don't know why I looked at this. That's how I found them while trying to find you someone from New Zealand LOL
  22. Not that anyone is using them probably, but Kyle Threat and Jason Hexx should be American and Dino Decious should be European.
  23. Anyone got stats for British worker Kid Krazy?
  24. I'm not sure if anyone else posted this yet, but the team of ACH and TaDarius Thomas is now called Adrenalin RUSH. That's how they're listed on the Best in the World card posted here anyway: http://www.rohwrestling.com/live/events/2013/jun/22/best-world-june-22nd-2013-baltimore-md
