In my opinion the top charisma stats in the data should be:
Steve Austin: 100
The Rock: 100
Mick Foley: 98
Ric Flair: 98
Paul Heyman: 98 (+2)
Mr. McMahon 98
Roddy Piper: 98 (+1)
Shawn Michaels: 97 (-1)
Chris Jericho 97 (-1)
John Cena: 97
CM Punk: 96 (-4)
Hulk Hogan: 95
Dusty Rhodes: 95 (+1)
Raven: 94
Terry Funk: 94 (+1)
Jim Cornette: 94 (-2)
Edge: 94 (-4)
Jerry Lawler: 93 (+2)
Triple H: 93 (-5)
Sting: 93
I would lower:
JBL's charisma to 91
James Mitchell's charisma to 88.
What is everyone's thought on this?
Ric Flair is shit these days and his promo at last RAW proved that.
Piper at 98? Maybe 30 years ago when he was on coke but now is a drunk old fool who only rambles at the mic.
There's no way that Punk has more charisma than Hogan, Dusty or Raven.
-
If Punk has 95 then put Hogan at 100.
-
And Brock's should be Legitimate Athlete or Monster.
There we go.
Fair enough.
-
-
Then remove it from Cena and Punk and lower his charisma too. There's no way that the guy deserves 100.
-
Cena will never be the draw that Brock is.
Brock isn't as big a draw as you think he is.
He headlines Extreme Rules in 2012 vs Cena. The event does its best ever buy.
He headlines Extreme Rules in 2013 vs Triple H: The event does 30,000 buys less than the year before.
Brock's entire drawing ability is based upon the fact that he left, that we didn't see his best years, and the more we've seen of Brock Lesnar, the less he's effected the buyrate and outright contributed to decreases in his program with Triple H.
UFC had 1 milion 600 thousands PPV buys (UFC 100) and 1 milion 200 thousands (UFC 116) when Lesnar was at the top and no one touched that. His return drew because people wanted to see him destroy Cena but Vince being an idiot and trying to prove that WWE > UFC destroyed everything after that. Don't even get me started on the match with Triple H because no one gave a fuck about their 3rd match and how Brock was booked until that point.
I say we through out that 100% requirement that the game has for the gimmick. If you are such a major name in wrestling that even non-wrestling fans know who you are, you're a pretty big deal. I wouldn't make the case for all Legends and Hall of Famers to be unique, but certainly the top names of each Era deserve the credit.
I would say Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Stone Cold, The Rock, HBK, Bret Hart, Mick Foley, CM Punk, John Cena, Undertaker, Sting, Chris Jericho, Edge, and Triple H are all more then deserving of the unique gimmick in my personal opinion.
So Cena (this is debatable) or Punk are more known outside WWE than Brock Lesnar?
-
Ummm.... Who carried the company when Brock left? Cena.... Although Brock has never done such in his career, Cena was the face of the company for 10 years.... That's not enough to say he's a little more important than Brock? Brock jumped ship at the first opportunity and when he saw he wasn't unbeatable in UFC he hightailed it back
Yeah, being the face of the company for 10 years after being shoved down our throats screams unique. Cena will never be the draw that Brock is. When he saw he wasn't unbeatable? He was sick and that's why he decided to leave UFC and come back to WWE. He was the UFC champion, 3 time WWE champion... that screams unique. Punk is overrated in the game and his charisma being 100 is a fucking joke.
How is Brock a 'unique talent'? Wrestling guy who is/was also a UFC guy? Ken Shamrock wants a word.
how are Punk or Cena unique talents? Shane Douglas and Scott Steiner broke kayfabe long before the indy hack did and Hulk Hogan was a hero long before Cena. -
What bigger impact had Cena or Punk than Brock? Brock ending the streak was bigger than anything these 2 did in their career. (I don't remember Cena having a bigger moment in his career and Punk... don't come at me with the shoot promo or the 400+ days forgettable reign and his matches with Miz or Del Rio). Besides that, Brock is a unique talent.

So, Hogan and Lesnar on the same level? Yeah... Not even close, Hogan revolutionized the wrestling industry in the 90s... Brock Lesnar has done nothing of the sort in any shape or form... Taker's stats, his brawl shouldn't be lower than 75, dropped, yes, 10 points, no, he should probably already be a Non-Wrestler, but I can see waiting until news breaks that he's officially done or something of the sort
Hogan and Punk on the same level? Yeah... Hot even close, Hogan revolutionized the wrestling industry in the 90s.... CM Punk has done nothing of the sort in any shape or form. You want to start this again?
Oh because Lords of Pain reports it, it's true. The Rosa Thorn is confirmed on Wikipedia (though we all know that isn't the best source.) Curtis Axel's was not. I had to goto Twitter to find it and it was mentioned on April 28th. I would wait until it is used on TV. Rosa's is different because she is not often on TV.why do you always try to be the negativist? Why would you wait if the guy confirmed this on his twitter same for Rosa.
I'm starting to think you have an anti-Punk bias. Hogan's reactions seem on par with Punk's and Lesnar's. The only thing is Hogan would have more of a crossover appeal (that isn't exactly covered in the game though.)
I am not trying to be a negativist, I also asked what is it? Is it the Hanging facebuster or his old turning heads? That was never answered.
anti-Punk bias? That guy doesn't deserve the Unique gimmick. That's my only problem with him and with his fans who think that he's some kind of God and don't you dare to say anything about him. That guy mentioned that Brock doesn't deserve the Unique gimmick but why would Punk, Cena or DDP have it? Is sickening to see them with the Unique gimmick and Vince, Brock, Bret, Dusty Rhodes, Hogan or Heyman with some generic ones.
Facebuster.

- We noted before that there was a push within WWE for talents to start naming their finishers. After Rosa Mendes came up with her Rosa's Thorn submission move last week, Curtis Axel revealed on Twitter that the new name of his finisher is The Axehole.
-
Change Rosa Mendes' primary finisher name to the Rosa's Thorn (submission)
Change Curtis Axel's primary finisher name to the Axehole (impact) - doubt that WWE will let him keep it.

Add Nick Dinsmore to WWE, change his gimmick to Staff Member and make him a Non-Wrestler. (he's a trainer in NXT)
Add Drake Younger to WWE, change is gimmick to Staff Member and make him a Non-Wrestler. (he signed a referee deal)
We should delete Linda McMahon from the Workers List and add her to the Staff section as a Producer. (she's not going to be involved in storylines anymore)
-
Change Baron Corbin's gimmick to Biker and add Shaul Guerrero/Raquel Diaz back to WWE.

I don't follow NXT too much but last night I watched Arrival after the awesome reviews that he got and the commentators called Zayn's finisher the Helluva Kick.
Cesaro's primary finisher name is called the Neutralizer by Cole and the Giant Swing is more like a signature move than a secondary finisher like the Super Uppercut.
-
change Sami Zayn's primary finisher name to the Helluva Kick (corner)
change Cesaro's secondary finisher name to the Super Uppercut (impact)

I was not the single one who said that Brock Lesnar deserves the Unique gimmick.

Yesterday, Christopher Daniels noted on his twitter account that he has become a free agent. His deal with TNA expired recently and he hasn't been used on television in weeks. Well, it looks like Frankie Kazarian may be next. Bill Behrens (who represents both Kaz and Daniels) is pushing both as being available for Independent dates. Daniels is free and clear and can appear on iPPV shows and DVDs. Daniels will be available to do seminars, matches, and other appearances (including his Curry Man character). TNA's mentality is that they are moving forward with younger talent. In other words, they are replacing talents for guys that are willing to work cheap.
Chris Sabin's contract expires in a couple of weeks and it doesn't look like he will be re-signing with the company. He hasn't been on TV of late either. Back when Alex Shelley left the company to go to Japan the feeling at the time was that Sabin was not going to renew his deal and would go to Japan as well. Sabin's last TNA appearance was for the One Night Only pay-per-view tapings. He put over Low Ki. That show won't air until later this year.
Maybe let Sabin until next month.
Yes, how dare we discuss things during a discussion on a message board.
Troglodytes.
By discuss things you mean trolling and making smartass comments? I know you guys pay 10 dollars every 6 months or a year but it doesn't mean that you need to mock the average Joe.
-
The thing about who deserves and who doesn't the Unique gimmick is a lost cause when the trolls from other sections that do nothing for these updates come here and try to act like smartasses and getting Likes from other trolls and are allowed to do anything because they're donators.
Remove Christopher Daniels, Kazarian and Chris Sabin from TNA.
Jasper Orton is not Randy Orton's cousin. He's Heidenreich's son (his name is Seaver Heidenreich) and is good friends with Randy.
Add a LOVE relationship between Charlotte and Tom Latimer/Kenneth Cameron.
- It's now confirmed that Sting will be involved in the WWE DVD and Blu-ray they are releasing on him later this year.
Source: Wrestling Observer NewsletterAfter the rumors that he signed with the company, the Warrior thing and now this I say add Sting to WWE on a Open contract.
-
Yeah, we're not going anywhere with this. Argues that Hogan, a man that changed this business not once but twice and was an inspiration for many people and there will never be another one like him doesn't deserve the unique gimmick but a guy like Punk, who used to shoot and calling legends by their name does it. IF we go by that and Brock is the epitome of Machine gimmick in EWR then give Punk the Rebel gimmick and we're done with it.
-
You're seriously trying to downplay what that guy said about and that's charisma is not just being able to speak on the mic. Brock carries himself like a damn champ, he has that ability to get people to give a shit about him! Same about Heyman but he can back it on the mic too.
edit: If we give it to Brock for being a brute, Road Warriors, heel Warlord and Chris Walker deserved it too because they were just as physically intimidating as Brock is.we're not going to get anywhere if we continue with this. Like a guy said above, Shane Douglas and Scott Steiner used to shoot on Flair and DDP back on Nitro a lot so because of that Punk should not have the Unique gimmick. If Brock and Heyman don't get it then remove it from Punk.
-

Yeah, the most charismatic wrestler ever doesn't deserve the unique gimmick but a kayfabe breaking bitch that had one memorable promo in his entire career deserves it. If Rock or Hogan are not Unique then Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Punk, Piper or DDP should not have it either.
Rock and Hogan deserve the Unique gimmick as do the others you listed but Lesnar could never be pushed as charismatic and has a gimmick which people have used before, Punk has done many memorable promos over the years whether with WWE or before then. I don't have a major gripe with Heyman being made unique but there is no chance Lesnar deserves it.
I could care less about charisma as long as no one else could play his fantastic role. The same thing can be said about Goldberg. WWE tried to make Ryback just like him but it failed miserably because he didn't had Bill's intensity and I don't think that anyone has ever had it. Brock is not your typical generic monster heel like Mason Ryan, Great Khali, Batista, etc. are/were. The guy has all the credentials to have that gimmick, he's a once in a lifetime find and there will never be another one like him.
