Some of the writing has been quite lazy. I hated the character who originally came to take the two guys, Emma and Joey away, too. He was so one-dimensional. Almost robotic. I was half expecting him to say "come with me if you want to live!" when he arrived.

I agree, the story would've made a much better movie than a TV series.
