Your face likes good power metal!
...I'm doing it wrong, ain't I?
What would you consider good Power Metal?
Also, some Japanese Bands that I love and should get more attention:
Galneryus - Destiny
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hL-iO86vdIConcerto Moon - Angel Of Chaos

Anthem - The Voices

I had the same thought several times. Usually we do have at least dome screenshots around June/July. They're definitely trying to keep us in suspense. Don't know if that is a good thing though. We're either extremely surprised or extremely disappointed.
-
So John Cena is on the cover, huh? It makes sense as he is the face of the company. The only thing I don't like about the cover is that it is so bland.
I other WWE 2k15 news:
Goldberg was asked on Twitter if he will be in the game. He said he isn't. So no WCW mode as I doubt that they would do that without him. Hopefully we get as few legends as possible.@https://twitter.com/Goldberg/status/483691972608413697

I know the majority of you aren't into Power Metal but Michele Luppi (the singer in the video) deserves more recognition. Why did the guys from Vision Divine replace him with that Rhapsody guy? Yes, they'll probably get more attention as Fabio Lione and I know that he is the original Vision Divine singer and that he and the guitarist have history together (they both played in another Italian band named Labyrinth in the 90s) but IMO Luppi is the better singer. Lione is WAY to overdramatic for my taste and when he tries to sound gruff it is almost comical. It amazes me that Angra choose him as their new singer.

So what you're saying is that the assassins never use the same identity twice and if the producers of the series want to get it completely right they're ought to get a new actor? That makes sense I guess. I still don't think that this necessarily qualifies as plothole-. Just another diversion from the book.
-
I took it as a disguise and meaning that the particular identity was dead. I would assume once he's back home in Bravos he can switch back to his real face.
Than how is it a plot hole if they bring him back?
-
I'm being serious. How did changing his face kill him? I never gave that much thought before. I really thought he was just masquerading
-
Didn't he say to Arya if she ever needed to find him give the coin to any man from Braavos and say
valar morghulis and they'd know what to do? Makes sense he'd be back.Except....
He said
Jaqen H'ghar is dead, and changed his face. I mean, I get bringing back the actor people will hopefully recognize, but it's a pretty big plot hole they're making.Wait, are you saying that Jaqen H'ghar actually died? I thought he simply changed his face to remain anonymous and that changing their faces is apparently a ability that assassins from Braavos have. I'm confused. Can someone explain to me how these assassins from Braavos work?

And have I mentioned that this is the worsed cover artwirk I've seen in a while? This is how it is supposed to look like:
Every band should have cover artworks drawn by Andreas Marschall...

These have nothing to do with the argument. Just felt like posting them here.

People actually listen to Pirate metal?
Not as a joke?
I can understand people not taking Alestorm seriously, but in the 80s and early-to-mid 90s Running Wild used to be a force to be reckoned with. Then Rock'n'Rolf decided to fire everyone, hire some musician-mercenaries, use a drum machine (which is really obvious but he still denies to this day) and produce all the albums himself which pretty much ruined the band. But that is a different storie for a different day.
Your face is terrible :@
It just doesn't appeal to me. Alestorm do the same thing, Christopher Bowes is the better singer (I never thought that I would say this as he is the weak point of the band if you ask me) and their music is a hundred times more engaging than this.
-
Wow, that was terrible. I'd take Running Wild or Alestorm over these guys any day of the week.
-
I get that the "Beat The Streak" thingy was pretty much a Slobberknocker match. But since I don't own the game I wasn't sure if you could play the Slobberknocker match seperately without the Undertaker.
-
I haven't watched Season 1 in quite a while but as far as I remember there were not many nudity scenes in that one.

RAW Spoilers
Change Cody Rhodes name to Stardust. Change Gimmick to freak (that's what goldust has)?
-
I really hope this Bran stuff leads to something good.
And I'd love to see Varys (if he actually left King's Landing on that ship with Tyrion), Tyrion and Ser Jorah forming an alliance to take the iron throne. That would be awesome.

First of all I agree with what Maxx said. I don't see the need to have all the discussions about the differences between the books and the show in this thread.
Secondly:
Am I the only one who is genuinely sad about Tywin's death? Yes, he was a cruel, calculating asshole who was so obsessed with rebuilding the reputation of his house and his own legacy that he almost completely neglected his duties and responsibilities as a father which turned his children into the fucked up people that they are which, in a ironic turn, lead to the disruption of everything he spent his life fighting for. But he was also a very intelligent and cunning man and I looked forward to seeing what he was up to every time the show was on. He was a very well written character and in my opinion the show lost a great villan with him. I would've loved to see how he would've handled the sutiation with Cersei and the return to form of Stannis Baratheon if he hadn't died.
I also felt that his death doesn't do him justice. I get why he died that way. It was inevitable that his mistakes and shortcomings in terms of taking care of his offspring would sooner or later catch up with him and that he probably would die by the hands of one of his children. But his death felt so empty. Joffrey death wasn't how I imagined it either and allthough it was horrific to watch him die the way he did it was still a "FUCK YEAH!" moment to me. But this? Dying in the shitter? That is so undignified and below is character.
I wouldn't say Tywin was cruel at all. An asshole, yes, but not cruel. Fuck...look at Dani...she is crucifying people.
And I think his death was perfect. Everything he was trying to accomplish had gone to shit
S4 EP10 spoiler
In a funny way, I thought the bit at the start when Cersei told Tywin, "dude, we've been fucking," was more poignant that the crossbow bit. Don't get me wrong, the end was great too but the look on his face when he saw his dynasty in it's true light was great. Great episode overall.
Arya
That was the best moment of that episode. Like that one time when Jorah sacked that one city but all that Daenerys cares for is Daario? Where you can freeze frame the exact moment in which Jorah's heart shatters into a thousand pieces? That was this kind of moment. Tywins lowest moment in the seires (beside his undiong on the shitter) and sublimely accted by Charles Dance. Why did they have to kill him?

So because they haven't succeeded in creating a movie-universe marvel-style they're now trying to put as many characters characters in one movie (which they can't probably introduce to the audience without making the movie 10 hours long), creating what is most likely going to be a incoherent clusterfuck of epic proportions? I
-
Yeah, I totally understand. I just really hate the crap out of her If there's one thing I'd fix, though, is somehow shorten those dream / hallucination sequences that Will always has, because as beautiful and gruesome as they are, after like 9 episodes I stopped caring about the damn deer and whatnot, it really slowed the show down for me.
I don't think you're going to like the 2nd season then...

First season of Hannibal was brilliant. Stupid redhead reporter, though.
When they first announced that they would gender-swap Freddie Lounds and Alan Bloom I was worried that this would lead to forced and unnecessary romance sub-plots. And they did introduce a romance in the series. But In my opinion it was brilliantly done. In general I love this show. Being a big fan of most of the movies and having read the books I love it when they take quotes directly from the page or turn situations from the book completely on it's heads without it being contrived. Yes, there are awefully many serial killers or psychopaths travelling through that region of America but once you get used to that and suspend your disbelief just enough you'll get an intense experience that'll make your flesh crawl.

So setting up a fake-mariage with a hooker for his son only to make him watch as his entire guard fucks her isn't cruel to you?
Either way I will miss him.

I'm so happy that I didn't read the books before I watched the show. Because If I did I'd probably obsess about alll the thing they've changed like I tend to do when I read the books before the adaptation. I probably couldn't enjoy the series at all. .

I've been on a huge 80s Whitesnake trip lately. 1987, Slip Of The Tongue and the US mix of Slide It Inn all the way! I know it is cheesy, pompous, overblown Hair Metal, the lyrics are for the most part your typical 80s hair metal clichees (though Coverdale's lyricism has always been on the more schmaltzy side of things), a few of them would probably be considered offensive by some, their early stuff is considered to be their best and watching a man in his late 30s by the time these albums were released trying to prove that he has balls the size of melons between his legs is cringeworthy (he 62 now and he is still doing it BTW, albeit sans the studded black leather gear). But damn it these songs rock. If someone were to ask me what the best 80s Hair Metal album is, I'd tell him about Whitesnake's 1987. It is a shame that Coverdale's voice is so terrible these days. I'd recommend you not to go to Whitesnake live shows these days. I'm amazed that the guy actually put out not only one but two live albums last year given the condition of his voice. He still sounds adequate on the recent records.
And if you want to listen to a band that sounds like Whitesnake with a singer that can still sing, I'd recommend Germany's Voodoo Circle two you. Their last 2 albums at least. 2011's Broken Heart Syndrome has a nice 70s vibe to it and their most recent album More Then One Way Home sounds like 80s Whitesnake. Here an example:

This thread needs more Lars' little Ulrich (NSFW!!!)
I know this is cold coffee now but when it happened it blew my mind. The big 4 of Thrash Metal (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax) in one room. Especially Dave Mustaine given that he has had vendettas against all of the other bands at some point during his career.
