  1. This thread needs more Lars' little Ulrich (NSFW!!!) I know this is cold coffee now but when it happened it blew my mind. The big 4 of Thrash Metal (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax) in one room. Especially Dave Mustaine given that he has had vendettas against all of the other bands at some point during his career.
  2. Your face likes good power metal! ...I'm doing it wrong, ain't I? What would you consider good Power Metal? Also, some Japanese Bands that I love and should get more attention: Galneryus - Destiny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hL-iO86vdI Concerto Moon - Angel Of Chaos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpXhkyhRF4o Anthem - The Voices http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdNZNrDUZMA
  3. I had the same thought several times. Usually we do have at least dome screenshots around June/July. They're definitely trying to keep us in suspense. Don't know if that is a good thing though. We're either extremely surprised or extremely disappointed.
  4. So John Cena is on the cover, huh? It makes sense as he is the face of the company. The only thing I don't like about the cover is that it is so bland. I other WWE 2k15 news: Goldberg was asked on Twitter if he will be in the game. He said he isn't. So no WCW mode as I doubt that they would do that without him. Hopefully we get as few legends as possible. @https://twitter.com/Goldberg/status/483691972608413697
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qy98zDaGRmw I know the majority of you aren't into Power Metal but Michele Luppi (the singer in the video) deserves more recognition. Why did the guys from Vision Divine replace him with that Rhapsody guy? Yes, they'll probably get more attention as Fabio Lione and I know that he is the original Vision Divine singer and that he and the guitarist have history together (they both played in another Italian band named Labyrinth in the 90s) but IMO Luppi is the better singer. Lione is WAY to overdramatic for my taste and when he tries to sound gruff it is almost comical. It amazes me that Angra choose him as their new singer.
  6. Accept are back! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbUXHTWZ9vk
  7. And have I mentioned that this is the worsed cover artwirk I've seen in a while? This is how it is supposed to look like: Every band should have cover artworks drawn by Andreas Marschall... Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08wDeWQqWnw and this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIm6y7qTvwg These have nothing to do with the argument. Just felt like posting them here.
  8. I can understand people not taking Alestorm seriously, but in the 80s and early-to-mid 90s Running Wild used to be a force to be reckoned with. Then Rock'n'Rolf decided to fire everyone, hire some musician-mercenaries, use a drum machine (which is really obvious but he still denies to this day) and produce all the albums himself which pretty much ruined the band. But that is a different storie for a different day. It just doesn't appeal to me. Alestorm do the same thing, Christopher Bowes is the better singer (I never thought that I would say this as he is the weak point of the band if you ask me) and their music is a hundred times more engaging than this.
  9. Wow, that was terrible. I'd take Running Wild or Alestorm over these guys any day of the week.
  10. I get that the "Beat The Streak" thingy was pretty much a Slobberknocker match. But since I don't own the game I wasn't sure if you could play the Slobberknocker match seperately without the Undertaker.
  11. I haven't watched Season 1 in quite a while but as far as I remember there were not many nudity scenes in that one.
  12. I really hope this Bran stuff leads to something good. And I'd love to see Varys (if he actually left King's Landing on that ship with Tyrion), Tyrion and Ser Jorah forming an alliance to take the iron throne. That would be awesome.
  13. So because they haven't succeeded in creating a movie-universe marvel-style they're now trying to put as many characters characters in one movie (which they can't probably introduce to the audience without making the movie 10 hours long), creating what is most likely going to be a incoherent clusterfuck of epic proportions? I
  14. I don't think you're going to like the 2nd season then...
  15. When they first announced that they would gender-swap Freddie Lounds and Alan Bloom I was worried that this would lead to forced and unnecessary romance sub-plots. And they did introduce a romance in the series. But In my opinion it was brilliantly done. In general I love this show. Being a big fan of most of the movies and having read the books I love it when they take quotes directly from the page or turn situations from the book completely on it's heads without it being contrived. Yes, there are awefully many serial killers or psychopaths travelling through that region of America but once you get used to that and suspend your disbelief just enough you'll get an intense experience that'll make your flesh crawl.
  16. First of all I agree with what Maxx said. I don't see the need to have all the discussions about the differences between the books and the show in this thread. Secondly:
  17. I'm so happy that I didn't read the books before I watched the show. Because If I did I'd probably obsess about alll the thing they've changed like I tend to do when I read the books before the adaptation. I probably couldn't enjoy the series at all. .
  18. I've been on a huge 80s Whitesnake trip lately. 1987, Slip Of The Tongue and the US mix of Slide It Inn all the way! I know it is cheesy, pompous, overblown Hair Metal, the lyrics are for the most part your typical 80s hair metal clichees (though Coverdale's lyricism has always been on the more schmaltzy side of things), a few of them would probably be considered offensive by some, their early stuff is considered to be their best and watching a man in his late 30s by the time these albums were released trying to prove that he has balls the size of melons between his legs is cringeworthy (he 62 now and he is still doing it BTW, albeit sans the studded black leather gear). But damn it these songs rock. If someone were to ask me what the best 80s Hair Metal album is, I'd tell him about Whitesnake's 1987. It is a shame that Coverdale's voice is so terrible these days. I'd recommend you not to go to Whitesnake live shows these days. I'm amazed that the guy actually put out not only one but two live albums last year given the condition of his voice. He still sounds adequate on the recent records. And if you want to listen to a band that sounds like Whitesnake with a singer that can still sing, I'd recommend Germany's Voodoo Circle two you. Their last 2 albums at least. 2011's Broken Heart Syndrome has a nice 70s vibe to it and their most recent album More Then One Way Home sounds like 80s Whitesnake.
