  1. I miss the days when a bunch of throws, tosses, suplexes and bombs could be used to just chuck someone out.

That would be awesome. But was it ever possible in the SmackDown series to throw someone out of the ring with your normal moves? Maybe in the first two games for the PSX. But I can't remember it on any of the PS2 games and onwards.

I'd also love to see the old RAW and SmackDown sets as unlockables. Especially the giant fist set. I find the current WWE HD set they use on every show now very boring. I get why they're having it, but the differents sets gave SmackDown and RAW more of a unique touch. And the giant fist set was just so awesome. Was it possible to re-build the giant fist set in the create an arena mode in the last game?

And in Hardcore matches I'd like to go backstage again. Like in the early games. I hate it that you had to specificaly choose a backstage area to brawl in and couldn't go anywhere else in the last few games. I know backstage brawling doesn't happen at all in today's WWE but a return of that feature would be nice.

Futhermore I'd like to see the return of the slobberknocker match. I think the last game had a variation of it where you had to defent the streak of the Undertaker which was pretty mutch a slobberknocker match. But could you use it with other wreslters too?

  2. This looks like we might have a new HereComesThePain/ShoutYourMouth/WhicheverSmackDownGameYouLikedBest on our hands. Especially the moved cut-off date. One of the reasons why I didn't buy the last 2 games was that they didn't get the rosters right (Cesaro missing from WWE '13, No Wyatt in WWE '14...).

And hopefully they'll re-do Scott Hall for the game. The one in the last game looked terrible.

  3. The NXT/career mode is quite exciting if it means the likes of Sami Zayn are in, and if they've got Sting tied down to any kind of deal, then it would be foolish not to put him in there, just for the major publicity of Sting being in a WWE game for the first time ever. It would get at least as much hype as Warrior being announced for the last one.

I woudlent mind a WCW vs. modern WWE storymode if they included it as long as there were limited duplicates maybe just alternate attires.

HELL NO! No more Attidude Era mode or WrestleMania History mode where half the roster is legends! Maybe add a few, but would like the focus to be as much on the current guys as possible. They should get as many current wrestlers in as possible that were around during the cut-off date (that is usually around WrestleMania, isn't it?) and don't waste space on "Legends". Especially if tha means three versions of Triple H or Taker.

I know it is a minor thing but I would also love to get the "Create A PPV" from Smackdown Vs RAW back. And if that isn't possible give me the possibility to book up to or more then 8 matches on a PPV during the Universe mode (if they plan to include that again).

    1. Ronnie James Dio

    2. Lemmy (Motörhead)

    3. Jorn Lande (Jorn, Ex-Masterplan)

    4. Tony Martin (Ex-Black Sabbath)

    5. Peter Gabriel

    10. David Coverdale (I know his voice isn't what it used to be, but in his prime he was awesome)

  5. Man, Hannibal is one fuuuuuuucked-uuuuuuuup piece of television.

That was one fucked up finale. Didn't expect it to end that way.

I though that they were going the way of the books and that Hannibal would be captured and that Season 3 would be their version of Red Dragon. Abigail being still alive and dying in fron of Will (who'll probably survive as they don't have the rights to the Clarice Starling character) was so sadistic. For a second I thought that Hannibal Abigail and Will were going to go on some homocidal road-trip together.

And now we have to wait an entire year. That is what I hate about those 13/12/10 Episodes-per-Season shows...

  6. Thanks a lot for making these scenarios! I can't wait to play this one! 1997 has to be my favourite years in Wrestling. WCW was going strong, had a stacked Roster, didn't ruin the Sting/Hogan feud yet and it looked like there was a good chance that they might win the war. But at the same time WWF was slowly but surely recovering from the last two terrible year and building up steam again with a lot of new talent and riskier storylines. And ECW was probably at it's high point as they still had a lot of talent on their roster despite a lot of people leaving for WWF and WCW. It would all go downhill from here.

I think 2003 is a good cut-off point. I don't think anyone will ever play that far anyway.

I agree with Idol when it comes to computer-generated-promotions. They never bothered me.

  7. Shouldn't Sid be a Main Eventer? He just headlined WrestleMania. And yes, in real life he would leave the WWE soon afterwards and he kinda only had the spot because the Vader push didn't work out but I'd consider him a Main Eventer.

And Billy Gunn should be heel. The Smoking Gunns split-up in late 1996 after Billy turned on Bart.

Maybe turn D'Lo into a manager? I don't think they even mentioned his name yet by that point and he didn't wrestle. He was just another member of the NoD entourage.

  8. He already completed filming Part 1 of Mockinjay and was 7 days away from finishing Part 2....Lionsgate said that the release dates won't be affected and that his part in Part 2 will be scaled back and not re-cast

He doesn't appear a whole lot in the Mockingjay book. That shouldn't affect the movie. But then again, some genious thought it was a good idea to split the book into two movies. I could understand why they did it with Harry Potter (although I don't understand why they only split the last book into 2 movies as opposed to the 1000-page 5th book) but I don't think Mockingjay has enough substance to be made into two movies. And since they don't have a lot of additional material (like Peter Jackson had with all the apendixes of the LotR movies and Silmarillion and such) I'm looking forward to see what they added themselves. And let's face it, Mockingjay was probably the worst book in the series. So depending on what they had planed for Hoffman it might could be a problem after all.

  9. This is horrible. I can't and honestly don't want to imagine what his wife must be going through. A loved one commiting suicide is horrible enough as it is, but being right there with him and pleading with him not to do it and then having to witness your spouses death? Jesus, I don't even want to think about that. He really must've been in a dark place. Depression really is an insidious bitch.

I haven't been following his videos for a whole while as I'm not as big a fan of internet reviews as I was like 5 years ago but his videos were some of the more enjoyable. As Jake O. Rhodes already pointed out he was able to make his videos informative and entertaining without him having to resort to being just anothe rage-driven critic (I used to love those kind of reviewers but nowadays I can't stand them) or being too preachy or arrogant. From what the people who knew him said about him he seemed to have been a great character and a cool guy to hang out with. My deepest condolences to his family (especially his wife) and his friends.

I also wanted to share this video which was recorded from one of his live-streams. Watching this makes the whole situation even more depressing.

  10. Okay, let's get things straight: So instead of a new installment in the franchase we get the second Sequel to FF XIII, which is in my opinion of of the worst games ever made, no, we also get a sequell to the 2nd worst Final Fantasy Game. Really Square Enix? Is this what Final Fantasy has become? MMOs and shitty sequels to shitty games?

Shut up, FFXIII-2 was great and Lightning Returns looks to be awesome too. And X-2 was a better game than XII and on par with X. If anything it provided way more freedom than X.

I am getting stupidly excited for Lightning Returns.

It looks like so much fun! I'm hoping I can get it beat before FFX HD... and get Bravely Default beat before Lightning Returns comes out. Kind of a shame, I was hoping to play XIII-2 through again first.

Maybe my hate for FF XIII has jaded my XIII-2 experience but I borrowed it from a friend and stopped playing after about 4 or 5 hours because I didn't enjoy it at all. Maybe if I find a cheap used copy at my local Gamestop I'll try it again but right now I've no interest in anything related to FF XIII. That game sucked so hard. If you ask me they should stop making those sequels and focus on getting FF XVI done.

  12. Recently been playing a few N64 games already mentioned, like No Mercy and Banjo-Kazooie. Also the first Tony Hawk Pro Skater game, quite basic in many ways but still can be a lot of fun.

Am I the only person who thinks that, at least graphics-wise, the AKI games aged very poorly? Everything looks so blocky and as much as I try I can't get into a game where Chris Jericho or Rey Mysterio have the same muscular build as a Hulk Hogan or Kevin Nash. I know they tried to make it look better with No Mercy but in my opinion that looked even worse.

  13. He just imitated the noises though, he didn't know what he was saying and he only did it to open the locket iirc not actually to communicate with snakes.

Still before that they played it up as this huge thing that only a chosen few can speak an that it is a bad omen and the whole shabang. And Ron, who usually is the slowest of the group, to be able to imitate parsle goes against that. Ron is supposed to be stupid god damn it!

  14. Yeah, I don't think anything like that was mentioned, but could that just be the assumed reason for why he did it at that point and not any sooner? It seems like "JARVIS is it done yet?" has been done a couple of times in the movies already, so I could buy that as to why he waited until the end to use all the suits at once.

You guys talking about Harry Potter being a good series to get kids into reading and shit and I just read the books this past Summer <_<

I guess you could argue that Tony couldn't activate the protocol while his suit was destroyed after the attack on his house because without a working suit there is no way for him to comminicate with Jarvis. But as soon as the suit is working again there is no excuse. And there is still no explanation as to why he didn't activate it when the heavily armed helicopters destroy his home

Some people have argued that he couldn't summon tje suits becauae they are buried beneath the rubble and ruins of his villa. But let's be real: an army of Iron Man suits (of which at least one is designed to carry heavy load) are stalled by a bunch of rocks? Really?

  15. With Iron Man 3, couldn't it just be chalked up to "JARVIS are the suits ready to be mass deployed and AI controlled? No? Okay." sort of thing? I can't remember most of the movie so maybe something in it just dismisses that as a possibility .

I recently bought thr Blu-Ray and they never mentioned anything like that at all.

And since Harry Potter is a children's series it really doesn't matter, it's a staple of children's fantasy and sci-fi to introduce convenient plot elements just to keep the story movie.

They can be still fun to mention though, but don't think too hard about it.

Oh absolutely, other than the aforementioned wands changing hands thing (which was a real "what? Since when? Why has this not been the case for the last 6 and 3/4 books" moment).

But for the sake of a couple of examples, in prisoner of azkaban they show that wizards are capable of going back in time. Why didn't someone just go back and kill Tom Riddle?

Also why couldn't Harry see the thestrals before cedric died? We know he witnessed and remembers his mum's death.

Or that they make a huge deal about Harry being able to speak parsl or whatever the snake language is called in english. That it is extremly rare and only people who arerelated to Slytherin can speak it and it is a bad omen. And suddenly Ron can speak it perfectly well just by listening to Harry in his sleep.

  16. It's been a bit since I watched Avengers, but when Banner transforms against his will, isn't it always because of some outside force? Like, when Loki is in his cell and mindfucking every one of them so that they all get angry with each other.

I can't recall a point in the movie when Banner just randomly transforms without some kind of outside force making it happen... which would make that a non-plothole, because when he's not being tampered with, he's completely in control, just as he said he was.

I can't remember them hinting at his ability to control his powers. I get that when he hulks out before the big battle he does it by his own accord and not out of anxiety or anger. But it still seems weird to me that he does it with such surprising ease despite him bein scared of hulking out during the entire movie. Maybe if they added a line of Dialoge instead of just this vague "I'm always angry" mantra it would have been more clear to me. But as is, this is just a minor annoience in an otherwise enjoyable movie.

Also, I'm pretty sure The Joker just says he doesn't have a plan to send Harvey Dent into madness. Of course he has plans, but it's believable that he doesn't. He plays Dent, which, ironically, was part of a plan.

Point taken. Still doesn't explane why a bunch of Arkham Inmates and street thugs are somehow the most reliable crew in town. I know a lot of it has to come down to rigid schedule and planing. But there sre just some thing that sre a bit too hard to forsee [for example i doubt that he planed on being captured by the police. I think Gordon's Resurrection took him by surprise. Or does he have thugs with explosives implanted into them on standby?].

I know it sounds like I must hate this movie but you couldn't be more wrong. It is my favorite comic book move. It's just that when it comes to the joker there seems to be a lot of coincidence involved.

  17. Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past:

Nintendo just released a sequel to this game that apart from having polygon graphics and some new mechanics is very similar to the original. They already remade it once for the GBA and they have a whole series of handheld games that are based of the mechanics of this game that people love and play to this day. Just sarch Youtube for Let's Play. I think that is prove enough
