I'm about to start running a Star Trek Adventures game, and I'm really excited. It uses the 2D20 system from Mophidius. I've never run the system before, but because I'm so knowledgeable about the Star Trek universe, I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to react to whatever the players through my way.

Would be fun to watch that.

  2. I’m thinking I’ll start a Cube diary with player-created DND characters. Would anyone be interested in reading that? I understand that there would be very little input in terms of combat, however dialogue choices and story-telling would involve the player(s).

  3. Essentially you could be the DM + players. Write up each session in The Cube and from what you wrote up, players would then respond with what they’d like to be doing in the next sessions. Would that work? I’ve run a DND over Discord by myself, through a bot and it seems to be a great way to do it.

Anyone want to do a game through Roll20?

I've been dying to play D&D as a player (since I have to DM for my group). Just seeing if there is any interest. I'd be free to play any weeknight from 7 to 12 ET, same on Sundays.

Hey, I'm not sure if this has been brought up as an idea, but would anyone be interested in getting a (semi) consistent group going? Most likely through Discord, since that's a program I'm pretty comfortable with. I'm willing to DM although I'm a fairly new DM.

    Yes and yes.

Sea of Thieves seems like it would be worth fucking around in for like a day but I've never had anyone else show interest in it. I redeemed a six month code I got for GamePass yesterday so I'll probably play some stuff that's on there.

It’s only worth that one day of game time. I’ve played so much of it and regret it. I did enjoy it, but you definitely will get more enjoyment out of it playing with more than just yourself.

I'm basically in the same boat as Hammy. I'm willing to give it a go at some point, so might as well grab it while it's on a sale, but if I'm playing alone, is there much point to this aside from the exploration?

Base building is fun. Being able to upgrade your Starship and other elements of your persons is rewarding (I feel like it is). It is definitely a much more enjoyable experience playing with others, however playing solo is challenging but rewarding at the same time. It does take a little bit to get into and to actually be going places, but once you're off the spawning planet - it becomes a great overall experience; at least I have found it to be.

Man I am so confused. I know I need to repair my ship but like" it doesn't tell me how to get those bits. Like I know you mine for minerals but none of what I need seem to be around and like one is something like a metal plate. Can I craft that or something? There are tips popping up but they're way too small to tell what button it's trying to tell me to press.

You can craft a metal plate with 40(?) Ferrite Dust, which can be found by mining rocks. Ferrite Dust is a common material, usually found in abundance on every planet. Some materials must be crafted by refining them - which is done by using a Refiner, which you have to craft from 1 Metal Plating and 30 Oxygen.
