  1. England had a bad day on the field, but nowhere near as bad as this Aussie Journo

    😄

Meanwhile, in other Non-Ashes related news, Afghanistan are 271/5 having recovered from 77/3 in their only Test against Bangladesh with Rahmat Shah (102) making history as the Afghans first ever Test centurion, and they could very well have a second century maker with Ashgar Afghan 88 not out.

And in women's cricket, Bangladesh have qualified for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup next year and will be joined by Thailand! Unfortunately for Thailand though, they're grouped with England, South Africa, the West Indies and Pakistan.

Meanwhile in other cricket, Rahkeem Cornwall made his test debut for the West Indies against India on Friday and set the record for the heaviest test cricketer on record. He is 6'6", 22.5 stone (308lbs) and the scariest off-spinner ever born.

I had memories of flashbacks of Dwayne Leverock when I read that... Except Cornwall is taller. Yet I still don't think he's the heaviest Test player ever... Warwick Armstrong (back in the early days of test cricket) was erm, quite large.

  3. Idea.. the 12 test nations + 1 from North America, Europe, Africa and Asia and the Middle East which would look like

Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe - Qualified

Europeans: Jersey, Guernsey, Scotland, Denmark, Norway and Netherlands

Africa: Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, plus 3 more (there's an east coast country that I am forgetting)

Asia and the Middle East: Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Bhutan, Malaysia, Israel and ??

I'd love Canada in a Cricket World Cup again.. can't see a way for it to happen.

Unfortunately for Broad his not walking was for edging the ball to slip (off the 'keeper's gloves) rather than a standard caught behind issue, but he wasn't given out so I'm not sure what he's meant to do.

What I did.. if I wasn't given out, is I stood my ground... what goes around comes around in life and in cricket.

I've played an attempted slog (i'd call it a drive, but it was an attempted slog), through cover, missed it and was given out caught behind, even though I was nowhere near hitting the ball

C-Mil, is he from Jersey, or Guernsey?

I get those to mixed up

Nope, it means you understand that people have the right to demonstrate their feelings towards individuals who have brought the entire sport in to disrepute.

The hypocrites are the Australians who boo Stuart Broad for not walking all those years ago, yet think people booing Warner and Smith is uncalled for.

I don't boo anyone.. except maybe Piers Morgan... et al

Broad refusing to walk? Is that what the issue was? fuck, I thought it was about the lollies incident

I never walked back in my day.. admittedly, not under TV scruitiny..

  5. Firstly, I am Australian.. I loved Eddie Guerrero, who used cheat 2 win to basically become WWE Champion. Does it make me a hypocrite, that I want the English to Boo Steve Smith and David Warner for cheating?

  6. American Football - Current: Luke Kuechly - I have a borderline man-crush on him, and my 'claim to Keek fame' is that I might have been the first, if not only Australian to buy a Kuechly jersey. All-Time: Troy Polamalu - For the reasons that were mentioned above.

Aussie Rules Football - Current: Jeremy McGovern - Just a gun player for my Eagles. All-Time: Doug Hawkins. Came from the same suburb of Melbourne as myself, and we even attended the same high school, and had the same history and geography teacher, albeit at different times.

Basketball - Current: Serge Ibaka - No real reason, but whenever I played NBA2k games, I tended to sign him, though I don't have to now, as he plays for the Raptors. All-Time: Tyrone 'Muggsy' Bogues - Someone his size having a reasonably successful career in the NBA gave short guys everywhere hope and he was in Space Jam.

Cricket - Current: Kane Williamson - I think he's the best batsman in the world quite honestly, but he doesn't seem to get the recognition because he doesn't play for Australia, England or India. All-Time: Mervyn Gregory Hughes - He was fun to watch with both ball and bat, and had a charisma that not a lot of Aussie cricketers had in his day.

Tennis - Current: Eugenie Bouchard - For... reasons. All-Time:  Martina Hingis - Aside from having a crush on her, she was a good player and I remember her winning an Aussie Open ('97), and most of my cricket teammates being pissed off for it for some reason, which amused me.

Not me. Now, if he had been traded to the Browns, I could see him announcing his retirement before the news even got out about the trade.

Antonio Brown playing for the Browns.. He'd enjoy torching his former team twice a season, I reckon.

Does this mean Scotland is better at cricket than Australia? :shifty:

I doubt we could even beat Ireland

England, the number 1 side in one day cricket, have just set a new world record by scoring 481 in their 50 overs against Australia. And Australia won the toss.

fun innings to watch.. Aaron Finch bowls, pretty handily I thought.. half expected Tim Paine to whip the gloves off and bowl himself.. That's what I'd have done.

Let's ignore the cheats, and remember that there is no Starc and Hazlewood this time around. Though I think Starc is overrated

I want to blame it all on David Warner. Can't stand the guy.

turns out you can... also turns out my call for a one year ban has happened.. except now the players association are getting involved

Meanwhile in South Africa, history's "most insane cricket series for non-cricket related issues" continues as Cam Bancroft admits to ball-tampering (after being caught on TV) and Steve Smith admits he coerced him to do so.

Explains the Ashes defeat, right? :shifty:

Steven Smith, David Warner and any other member of the so-called leadership group in Australian cricket, should be suspended for at least 1 year from all forms of cricket. What happened over the weekend was a disgrace. And no, I didn't wake up shocked and disappointed. I woke up shocked and pissed off that we would stoop to such a level. For the record, I never thought we had the best bowling attack in the world. But that's a discussion for another time.

A quick look on YouTube suggests Mankind has the theme that Foley uses now.

So he uses Wreck... well that sucks

i know wwe2k18 doesn't have the WCW Television title...

any way of seeing what music is on the game, without buying it?

  12. I'm torn on relationships...  e.g. 1997, After that, British Bulldog and the Anvil all left, I'd wanna piss off as well,  Owen probably wanted to as well, but was tied to a contract tighter than Bret's Sharpshooter.. Then there's Foley, who was loyal to the Hart Family, but on the flip side, Nattie.. yeah, ya know what :) Not my problem.. Just things to take into consideration... Also, I think family should (obviously) have blood relations (considering, they're like ya know, related), for better or worse
