  1. Jamestown+ rules! If you like your top down shooters, it's the right mix of fun and challenging. Bit the bullet on Assassin's Creed, along with Grim Fandango so those should keep me busy for a while.

    Also, yes, Limbo is great but is hard to recommend if you hate spiders.

  2. Yeah, agreed with local Nidhogg multiplayer. Me and my friends love it. I'm going to pick up Grim Fandango and Jamestown+ since I've been meaning to. How is that Assassin's Creed game? I know it has middling reviews but it seems like something that might be better than they suggest.

  3. I agree that Borderlands may be their best series yet. I think it comes from the universe being a bit more light-hearted and open to comedy that makes it shine a bit more since it's allowing the writers to loosen up and be funny. From what I've read too, the way choices branch in this one is really impressive too. It's all grabbing me in a way that Game Of Thrones hasn't in the slightest.

  4. EU has a "Big in Japan" sale this week and there's some good stuff on it if you still use your PS3. Final Fantasy games, Resident Evil games, Team Ico, DMC, MGS but, more importantly, you can now own Binary Domain and God Hand for just £6.40. You couldn't even buy two pints for that.

  5. OK, I've made it to Skellige, I'm level 21 and have been playing for 25 hours. How much main story is left and can I brute force it at this level? I'm really not sure if I can be bothered to trek through however many sidequests there are here.

  6. What do I have to do to export? I have most of the stuff.. on my 360. But how does that work over?

    360 -> XBOX One

    PS3 -> PS4

    Can't go from 360 to PS4, sadly so I need to pony up for an Xbox One if I don't want to rebuy hundreds of pounds worth of DLC. It'll be cheaper for me to buy a new console and the game bundle than it would be to redownload everything.

  7. I kinda did two of the main quests in the wrong order. You're meant to do the Bloody Baron first then Ladies in the Wood. I was like this ending for the quest is a bit shit then realised why.

    Also I've been spending most of my time wandering finding all the points of interest. I've got them all on my map but quite a few I haven't gotten the treasure for because there'd be a monster with a much higher level than mine.

    I'm at that point now so thanks for the heads-up. I'm also looking at the points of interests in Velen but finding that, aside from bandit camps, the monsters are too strong for me at the minute. A shame because I'd like to explore but I guess it makes you actually kick on with the main story. The moment where I opened up the World Map for Velen and saw the size of it was awesome. Was a real feeling of "ohhhh, now the game has started"

    EDIT: That's also a great post, Jason, thanks. I've leveled up my fast attack atm but have generally stayed clear of alchemy, simply because of the amount of ingredients that are lying about. I'll sit and read that guide. I'm barely using anything but the shield in battle but I keep forgetting about the stun move. I'll make sure to pump some points into it and test it out.

  8. Going from Bloodborne has only made the combat and movement feel worse. I like that you have to plan each encounter but man, I'm not getting this at all yet. I'm going to put more time into it and hope that it clicks though. I'm getting better, especially at timing my dodges and generally being more patient but Drowners are still kicking my tits in.

    The amount of content here is super impressive though. I've been playing for about 4/5 hours and just exploring the world has given me a load of new sidequests. The world feels "lived in" in a way that other open worlds don't

    Been playing this all day and it's definitely starting to come together now. I have a simple method for combat; spam the shield spell at every opportunity, never let go of L2 and put all my ability points into Light Attack so I can cut through enemies quickly. I tend to just dodge backwards rather than to the side so I can quickly get in. Explored all the question marks around the first area and found some good gear, though it's pretty costly to repair it atm. I need to turn the gold I've found into currency whenever I get to wherever it is I can do that. This is definitely a game you've got to stick with through the bad first impressions but I am enjoying it a lot more now.

  10. So, do you just have to get used to the controls or what? I love everything about this, aside from the part where you play it. There seems to be a real floatiness to the movement/combat and I don't really feel in control.

  11. First step taken towards the day when I can take the Chelsea Ladies team on a rampage against the Premier League men's teams... Maybe next year. :shifty:

    Also, this guy...

    THE EARTH IS RUINED, I TELL YOU

    Haha, that's amazing. Now, I wish the women's teams could play the men because it would be amazing beating some LadBible loving bellend with a Women's team and seeing his response.

  12. Finally got a PS4 yesterday. So far I've got TLoU, Bloodborne and Binding of Issac. What should I get that isn't available on One? If its multiplat I've probably already played it or own it.

    Add me if anyone wants to play TLoU though. One of my favorite MPs.

    Sheikybabybubba.

    DriveClub is a good racing game now that they've fixed everything. Still has a bad reputation but if you like racers, I recommend it.
