I was shocked by that score too.

I would have liked it better if Green Day had played, say, Jesus of Suburbia or Letterbomb.

Yes, this is old. Still pissed that Slash didn't make the list.

California Golden Bears Football (College)
Haven't received the tickets yet, but they should be two sections from the opposing teams' fans.

The end of the A's-Angels game:
Jason Kendall is at third base, Bobby Crosby is at first, and Eric Chavez is at the plate. There are two outs.
K-Rod throws a curve away to Chavez that is called a ball by the umpire, Crosby takes second base on defensive indifference.
K-Rod stands on the mound and glares at the ump, thinking the pitch should have been called a strike.
Catcher Molina throws the ball back to Rodriguez, but Rodriguez is still glaring at the umpire and makes a lackluster attempt to catch the ball from Molina. The ball gets past Rodriguez, and Kendall dashes for the plate, and beats Rodriguez's throw home.

Slash's Opening riff on Sweet Child of Mine.

I have to admit, I thought this year would be a rebuilding year for the A's. With the loss of Hudson & Mulder, I expected a .500 season or worse. I won't type I knew the A's would be tied for first at this point in the season after their disasterous month of May.
Now, of course, I'm excited for the next three games against the Angels, and the rest of the season. It's going to be one hell of ride!

Oakland A's trades from today.
Man, trading Byrnes away sucks.
I doubt Payton will help the team any. I can sort of understand the Byrnes trade, since Bobby Kielty was hitting well recently. Ken Macha also was very upset at Byrnes for tackling the guy who jumped over the outfield fence a few weeks ago. Still, Byrnes was one of the most emotional guys on the team, and he made highlight reel catches almost every night.

For your information killakidd:
Javert originally ended this diary with Royal Rumble 1998 a while back. He then wrote a great WWF 1986 diary. After it ran for over a year(game time) he ended it and came back to this one. He also wrote a JWA diary, featuring his own created federation. I think it may have been one of the most replied-to-without-posting-one-show diaries in EWB's history.

7/10 The controls are infuriating, for me at least.
9.5/10 Graphics are obviously dated, but the storyline and music make up for it tremendously.

Funk, it's not 3-5 days. It's 3 to 5 business days. Business days are week days except for holidays.

Right. This is closed.

I'm setting up a Fantasy Football league on Yahoo for any EWB members. I've always wanted to run one of these, so I'm starting it up early, before anyone beats me to it.
The league will consist of 12 teams, including me.
The draft will be live. It will occur on July 1st, at 2pm Pacific Daylight time.
I'm open to changes in the league settings.
The League's name is: EWB IV League (ID# 45267)
The League's password: \ewbiv\

Thank You HD.

Tried, EWBIII is gone, I think. How'd you get into it?

I love this diary. I'm paitently waiting for when you start reposting part seven. I didn't read much of this diary when it was first here, but I went and read all six parts off your site a few months ago.

A cover of 'Oops I did it again' makes this list, and Van Halen's cover of The Kinks 'You Really Got Me' doesn't. Pure travesty.

This looks fucking sweet.

Save up 150 dollars and buy the new slim Ps2. I've had one for over 6 months and it's never stopped working or frozen up. It works great since you put games in it like you would for the PS1.

Just returned home from Cal's opener against Sacramento St.(1AA school)
Cal won 41-3, but Cal was only up 10-3 at the half. It took Marshawn Lynch a half to finally start running the way everyone expected him to. The passing game was okay in the first quarter; Nate Longshore completed eight of eleven passes for over 100 yards, along with a TD and an INT. Early in the second, he went down with a sprained ankle and Joe Ayoob took over. Ayoob was fucking awful! He went zero for ten in pass attempts. Steve Levy was no better, going only two for seven. Despite a 38 point win, Cal should have won by at least 50. Nobody who watched the game left feeling overwhelmed with joy. We(myself and all Cal fans) have high expectations of this team, even with the loss of Aaron Rodgers. Today's game showed that the passing game needs work, despite the solid work of Longshore.
The bright spots were Lynch, as soon as he became comfortable. He finished the day with 24 carries for 147 yards and a touchdown. The other bright spot was freshman wide receiver DeShaun Jackson, who caught the first touchdown of the game and ran a punt back for six points late in the fourth quarter.
