  1. Let's see...

    A Beautiful Mind(also Horner)

Anything by Craig Armstrong(He's fairly new)

    Danny Elfman(Spiderman films, Edward Scissorhands)

Sean Callery(I only recommend the 24 soundtrack as I don't know his other work)

Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber(theme from Platoon)

    Halo Video game scores

    Final Fantasy Game scores

Dang...I know some more. I'll post more if I think of em.

  2. One game I'm looking forward to is 24, based off the TV series. Don't get me wrong, I orgasmed at all the prospects of PS3 games and Xbox 360 things and the new GTA game and Zelda, but this is one I'm sure a lot of people glanced over. The game will take 24 hours to complete(unless you beat stuff pretty fast), and has lots of gameplay types(networking, interrogation, run and gun, driving). It's supposed to take place between seasons 2 and 3.

One cool thing I heard from IGN is that in one part of the game you have 5 minutes to get information from a certain place. If you get it done early the game resets itself and the ticking clock appears to get it back on track, however, if you don't get the information in the alloted time you either start that segment over again OR continue on through the game without the knowledge to figure out the bigger threat at hand. Also I heard that there is supposedly no load times, and if there is it's just the ticking clock.

I really do hope that they pull the gameplay aspect of it, but nevertheless it's awesome for someone like me who likes the show.

  3. God...I haven't cracked up that bad at South Park since the Woodland Critter episode. The Hippie Digger was just great...and the part where Stan's parents think about what they did at Woodstock was awesome too.

  4. Oh man...Gran Turismo is such a stellar and gorgeous game. I even learned I can take my USB Jump Drive, stick it in the PS2, put some of my photos on it, and take it over to my computer. Kicks wicked ass in terms of conent and everything, now just to build up a ton of money to buy more and cooler cars...

  5. Personally I'm one of those people who used to love the first trilogy(the special edition really messed it up for me) and is somewhat dissapointed in the prequels. To start off on the special edition I do believe there were some places that were ok to do the CG(obviously the hangar bay sequence when the Falcon is tractored into the Death Star), where as the entire ride through CGI Mos Eisly is pointless to the overall storyline to the film.

Now onto the thing I love most out of the Star Wars movies: the lightsaber fights and the battles. If I had to rank the battles it would go like this.

    1.Battle of Hoth(Empire Strikes Back)

2.Assault on the Trade Ship(The Phantom Menace)

    3.The trench sequence(A New Hope

4.Battle of Endor in space(Return of the Jedi)

100(I know it's supposed to be 5, but hey it really sucked)-Attack of the Clones Ground Battle

I of course will go see Revenge of the Sith, particulary because I heard the space battle is supposed to be good(and viewing a couple of the battle pictures from the trailer, I have to say I will be entralled by it). That's my spiel on Star Wars for now.

  6. I also heard that Yasunori Mitsuda isn't on board to do this installment's music, opting for someone else that isn't quite as talented(they said there are a few good ones, but for the most part doesn't live up to the amazing job Mitsuda did on the first one.) Either case I'm either picking this game, Republic Commando, or GT4 tomorrow. If not this time, then definately next time:)

  7. Well as you read in the description payday came for me, and I have enough money to buy MVP Baseball 2005 and some other game. Thing is I'm having a hard time deciding on which one to buy. Gran Turismo 4, Xenosaga Episode II, and Fight Night Round II are at the top of my list, but are there any other ones I should consider? If you own one of those three please tell me how you think the game is, I'm basically trying to find myself a new game that will keep me thoroughly entertained. Thanks for any help in advance.

  8. Add two new ones for me. This crazy yet also cool Escaflowne soundtrack(I'm guessing from the movie), and it has a lot of great songs on it that I dont' skip. I also just bought "The Feeding" by American Head Charge, and I must say it's a lot more solid than "The War of Art."

  9. Sounds like the Raiders are getting a pretty good deal, and I'm sure Moss will fit into their style of play very well.

I'm just glad the Hawks locked up two of their offensive powerhouses in Walter Jones and Matt Hasselbeck, while still keeping(at least for the moment) Shaun Alexander. Hopefully this year they can get rid of the Rams in their head and breakout of the "Heartbreak team" mold.

  10. Ray-4 out of 5 Stars

It's amazing how many movies I mean to see and yet never actually follow through until it's oscar time. "A Beautiful Mind" I didn't see until the week or so before the Oscars(one of the Seattle theatres had all the nominees for best picture), and was one of those movies I'm still proud to own today. Ray is no exception. It is great in the sense of storytelling one of America's most genious men in the past century and his hardships and secret lives that most of the mainstream audiences didn't know(including me.) Good music throughout(though I thought during the middle it outplayed too much of the movie), and a very solid job by Jamie Foxx as Ray. However at the end it seemed a little rushed for my tastes, even though the movie itself was quite long. I heard a lot of songs I never knew existed(yes, I live under a rock sometimes), and am in the process of saving up money to actually purchase his albums. Perhaps not the best film ever made, but it serves it's purpose to tell the story of Ray Charles and get you to buy his CDs(a minor side effect.)

  11. Ah yes...a fellow Fantasia series lover. All of the aboved mention films were my favorites(Great Mouse Detective, Fantasia[love the Stravinsky songs used for the lava planet], Fox and the Hound, Rescuers Down Under.). And yes...that interpretation of Girshwin's music was spot on. I suggest "An American in Paris" if you liked "Rhapsody in Blue."

  12. Eric Whitacre: The Complete Acapella Works(1991-2000)[sung by Bringham Young University Choir]

OK Computer-Radiohead(Best Album I've Ever heard, All-time favorite for me)

    Abbey Road-The Beatles

    Waking the Fallen-Avenged Sevenfold

    Slipknot-Slipknot

    Winning Days-The Vines

    Follow the Leader-Korn

    Toxicity-System of a Down

    Albums that came close

    Vol 3(The Subliminal Verses)-Slipknot

  13. Well it's soon to be official, Walter Jones looks like he will be signing a 7-year deal with the Seahawks for 50 million dollars with a 15 million dollar bonus. This came from ESPN so I'm not sure if it's final, but I expect some sort of announcement to be made about it later today if it's true. If it is indeed correct, that means the franchise tag might either go to Hasselbeck or Alexander, and I'm guessing Alexander. Hopefully one of them will take a pay cut to allow both players to be on the team, but I'm guessing that's not going to happen. Not sure what Mike Holmgreen would like, but I'm taking a guess that he likes Hasselbeck more than Alexander. That's my little spin about all of it.
