  1. Hey, can't help it that I want a big piece of the action and the glory.
  2. Oh well this is just great. I get pole position for Silverstone, but it's deja vu like in Istanbul with Slogger and Trips behind me. What's more, I've also got Tits McGee right behind them, making it much more likely he will come after me. This race ought to be fun.
  3. Another win! Guess my strategy, as well as lucky timing, paid off. Thanks for the warning, but the next race will be at Silverstone (i.e. my home race), so good luck on trying to go after me. Then again, I'll probably crash out of the race before it happens.
  4. Woohoo! After finishing 2nd in the Monaco GP and getting pole in Montreal, I climbed right back up the grid after my bad start to dominate the race and finally get a win! Also, gotta say well done to Trips for hanging in there right to the end after having issues halfway and getting himself a podium finish. Bring on the Magny Cours GP!

  6. Woo, pole position for the first time this season! Now to get a win out of it. * Notices Slogger next to him on the grid, then sees Trips right behind him. Remembers being responsible for retiring both men in the last race. * ...Aw, hell.
  7. I blame that solely on my silly decision to try and conserve my tyres for the race by using intermediates for the first stage of qualifying when it was dry.
  8. BAH! Me and my damn driver error forced me to retire a third into the race. At least I can be happy with the (short) performance made here, plowing through the grid from the back to reach second and potentially go for first...before pitting and making the error soon afterwards. Toro Rosso will not be denied the championship a single point!
  9. More like spending nearly a dozen laps trying to overtake you. Will agree that the Melbourne race was quite tense. Started good as I got into the top three and gained a few fatest laps, even getting so close to overtaking the leader. But that all changed after pitting for the second time, and costed me a podium position, though I have no problems finishing fifth. You did quite well Zaz, recovering from that bad start and early collision to climb all the way up to win second. With the exception of you having a slightly better setup for your car, my tyres were already wasted by the time I tried to take you on, so I had very little (if any) chance of being able to overtake you, let alone struggling to fend off others behind me from taking my position. I should stop shredding my racing tyres during testing. We also gotta give some kudos to our teammates, as they managed to climb up from the lower part of the grid to almost gain some points. But I must say, if the Melbourne race was this tense, I'd hate to wonder how the next races are gonna be like. In good news Zaz, at least you won't be teammate-less for a while now in the EWB game after a Hajjhowe sighting during practice.
  10. Damn whoever it was that retired me right on the first lap. A chance to gain good points ended with me being the only one yet to score points. Terrific. Oh well. Should easily rebound if practice is any indication on what's to come in both qualifying and the next race. Good luck beating my practice time. * Waits for Zaz, Hajj and Slogger to slaughter the practice time with ease. *
  11. Is it possible for anyone else to join our game once the season's in progress? Or can you only do that for public games? Bit similar for my teammate, who signed up, only tested once and disappeared until after qualifying, but I kinda understand his reasoning, since he's also new and getting to grips with it. But I have that inkling feeling that sometime down the line (next game, perhaps?), I might have a similar situation to what you're having. Speaking of teammates, what happened to Hajjhowe? He doesn't seem to have appeared for any testing since the Melbourne race and is right around the bottom part of the grid for the Sepang race.
  12. That'd me be, Zaz. Ah, ok, just noticed you joined the public game. Wish you'd gotten in quick enough to be my partner, as it looks like my teammate signed up and then just buggered off Damn, sucks to hear if that's the case. Checking when your partner signed up, seems I still would've been too late to join you either way. Sorry. Out of curiosity, and this is also a question to those who have played this before, what sort of penalties are given to teams that have inactive driver(s), one driver only in the team and such (unless it's just being in a disadvantage in the Constuctor's Championship)?
  13. Guess going for hard slicks didn't pay off here, but oh well. Onwards to Sepang!
  14. Never played this before, but this sounds like fun, so I've signed up as well and picked Toro Rosso.
  15. From memory the maker said he stopped working on it and released the source code yeah?
  16. What do you mean you don't get it? It's pretty obvious when you think about it. It's a piece about disability and the anger of those with a disability in certain situations. Which is what the wheelchair and stairs represent, someone not being able to get up the stairs because they are disabled.
  17. alternateyou shows a better, and closest, portrayal of emotion with good use of colour and imagery. Especially liked the symbol and font style for it. awitts' portayal of emotion seems to be a bit off in some areas. The wheelchair and stairs seem a bit odd, no idea as to what they're representing. The expression looks more like pain, rather than anger, which leans somewhat away from the emotion chosen. Right colour to represent anger though. Overall, my vote goes to alternateyou.
  18. Looks like a really simple banner, but still looks reasonably good. Like alldawson said, one problem I find is the second left-hand wrestler, whom looks nearly transparent. I'm not sure why, but the thin lines going through the banner (I'm guessing due to using a filter) doesn't seem right to me. And I think the background could be improved a little. In my opinion, I think I'll give it about... 6/10 Not the best banner, but it's still good.
  19. In terms of RPG games for the PC, not sure about Heroes of Might & Magic, but I've also heard good things about Dungeon Siege. Neverwinter Nights is not bad, but is not quite as great as people claim it to be. In my opinion, until I get the chance to play Dungeon Siege, I would highly recommend Elder Scrolls:Morrowind, which is now available in budget. I find it has a lot more depth and is less linear than Neverwinter Nights, though whether it's better than the KOTOR and Diablo series is debatable. Or you could wait until Elder Scrolls:Oblivion, which I hear is looking to be something worthwhile, maybe ground-breaking (yeah, you probably kinda figured out that I'm a fan of The Elder Scrolls). Other than that, I guess you're more than stuck with the casual games.
