  1. I took the Lions to the Conference game with a 10-6 record. Harrington had a great season and tore up the field in passing. I traded up for some good picks and got some good rookies for the next season, some up and coming wrs and te's. Also I signed Law on defense to make sure I had a big playmaker up there. Next year they will be a SB contender.

  2. is he over rated..of course. But he is still a good musician. He doesnt have very hard songs to play (purple haze was the first song i learned on my guitar) but he still changed the way people view music. People still love him whether he is over rated or not. They did a thing on vh1's best one hit wonders. The only one to crack the top 10 from hendrix on the charts was All Along The Watchtower, yet he still revolutionized the music world. While he may not be as good of a guitarist as Van Halen, Clapton, Satriani, etc. he still is a big name musician who has some great songs.

  3. I imported my 99 ovr QB and got an 80 on the iq test..drafted to the browns as a 91!!!!!!

I'm still pissed off cause my rb I imported (used to have a diary, Grant Golden) turned black when he got into madden..I was so pissed I deleted him cause he will never be white again :crying:

  4. Played a half on it last night/this morning against Dragsy. Me Cowboys, he Bears. 21-21 <_<

First impressions are good though. Gonna have a go at Superstar mode later today and play some more of it. Soundtrack is awesome, too.

  5. Dane Cook is great, one of my favorite stand-up guys. I just got his new cd yesterday at target..if you're a fan of him..PICK IT UP. Hes got some great bits, I actually went to one of his shows and got to meet him after it. Hes a great guy and is even funnier in real life. His new cd is called "retaliation" it comes with a dvd that has all of his crank yankers, shorties watchin' shorties, bar mitzva bash, and his tourgasm preview.

    OH YEA!!!

    Oh no..oh no.

  6. parents are ignorant..thats a simple fact. They go out and buy these 13 or 14 year old kids..hell maybe even younger a game like GTA..after seeing that it has a M rating then blame the creators. These ignorant fucks should take the blame..they bought the game, when you buy a game for your child you should look at the esrb rating. Zero put it the best..there are warnings out about language, violence, and that v chip but these parents are so damn ignorant that they refuse to pay attention to them and blame the makers of it.

When GTA:VC came out I was playing it and my 9 year old neighbor came over. His mom heard about the game and demanded that I stopped playing it because it was giving him a bad influence. I simply told her that she should worry about what her son is doing..not trying to stop me from enjoying my game. If kids are seriously so crazy that they would go and kill someone because they saw it on a game or tv they need to be in an asylum anyways.

  7. this has had me pissed off for awhile. I own all of the dvds so far because my entire family is a huge Dukes fan and we refuse to see this movie. Willie Nelson isn't a good Uncle Jessie..Uncle Jessie wasn't skinny as a twig..they need to give him a fat suit or something to make him look at least similiar. Same with Boss Hog..hell John Goodman could have been a better boss hog than Reynold. Im fine with Sean William Scott, but instead of Knoxville I think Kutcher would have been a great choice him or Paul Walker. Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke just kills the entire movie..first off she isn't a blonde..2nd daisy wasn't a freakin slut. I'm going to wait till this comes out on dvd then rent it if I feel like it. I'd rather stick to my old dvds.

  8. Well, I would imagine the point of a career mode would be to be able to play the game from the perspective of an NFL star.  NFL stars don't get to choose whether the QB throws to them on every play, or call run everytime, or get to control what happens on the opposite side of the ball.  The lack of control is part of the experience of playing in a team sport.

Sure it's frustrating for a QB when the receivers drop perfect passes.  It's frustrating for the RB when too many pass plays are called or their fullback misses and important block, but that's football.

Maybe I'm too into football, but I think that the dynamics of having to get open, make the catch, keep your feet in bounds, make the blocks, etc. would be enough to keep me entertained and make every play feel like something new.  Hell, I've even thought it would be interesting in real life to play as an offensive lineman.  Of course that might not translate too well into a video game, but I'd try it.

The other thing I'd like to see from a career mode is realistic reactions to your play (whether or not you control your player alone) by the coach/general manager.  That's not been done in either of the other two games with career modes I've played.  In NCAA 2005, you will continue to start no matter how badly you play, and you can completely and totally blow every play with absolutely no consequences if you wanted.  In the MLB game...MLB 2006?  You were mostly treated based on your ratings.  You started with low ratings, so you weren't playing in the majors for long no matter how good you played.  In the real world, if you were called into the majors and spent half a season with a batting average of over .500, lead the league in homeruns, rbis, on base percentage, runs, and stolen bases, they would not send you back the the minors, but they do that in MLB 2006.

In Madden I would like to see bonuses offered to good players, a chance to earn the starting job in the preseason, and/or training camp (depending on the play of the starter), and most importantly, in my opinion, a chance to actually lose the starting job or be released based upon your play.  Yeah, it may make the game frustrating, but it would add to the challenge a little too.

I just think that if you want to play as the entire team, you can play franchise mode.  Any management aspect you don't like can be done by the computer entirely, so you can simply play every game if you want, using the entire team as you want to.

Give me realism in my career mode, not more of the same thing dressed up as a brand new mode.

I would like to be signed as say....a second string qb, then have all games simulated until a point where the starter gets injured, at which point (mid-game) I would be taken to the game to take over.  Perform well enough while the starter is out, and take over the starting job.

The ability could be added to simulate parts of the game you're not involved in, such as the opposite side of the ball, and anytime where you're on the bench, if you so desired.

That's the game I've been dreaming about, and the one that's at best a few years from being created, but most likely will never be created.

    I can dream though.

If the only one of my ideas that was implemented in this Madden was the coach/gm reaction to your performance, I would become incredibly excited about the game, but we'll see.

  9. i think Stella is a pretty good show, I have that kind of stupid sense of humor to laugh at these things. But I agree, Mind of Mencia is terrible and needs to be dropped quick...BRING BACK I'M WITH BUSEY!
