  1. Not to sound whiny, but how come they couldn't have a 2.5 - 3 hour movie for Order of the Phoenix? And screw the bullshit excuse like "no one wants to sit in a theater for 3 hours". Look at Titanic and Lord of the Rings, length didn't effect how much money they made.

I just finished the book and I thought it was great, my 2nd favorite in the series (just behind Goblet). I may see the movie tomorrow, thought I'm kind of worried as to what has been cut out.

  2. Guinea Pig: Flowers of Flesh and Blood (Za ginipiggu 2: Chiniku no hana)

It's cheap and sadistic torture-porn. Though it's so bad, it's actually enjoyable. From the camera angles, to the closeup of the Samurai, to the terrible effects, the head smacking the wall, this movie is quite funny. Though should only be watched by people who have a strong stomach.

    5/10

  3. Some of my favorite songs

    Sum 41

Hell Song, Still Waiting, Over My Head, Makes No Difference, Some Say, Pieces, 88, No Reason, Welcome To Hell, Underclass Hero

    Billy Talent

This is How It Goes, Line and Sinker, The Ex, River Below

  4. A frind jut tole me that this is the shortest Potter movie. How can the by far biggest book turn out the shortest movie?

...Because it wasn't the biggest book? The GoF is still the largest/longest HP book that J.K. has published (and has gone on record as saying she won't do another HP book that long).

  5. Well, I decided today I won't be watching the movie in theater. I just started the book, and I want to finish it before I watch the movie. For Goblet of Fire, I watched the movie first, and it ruined the book-reading experience.

And no, I can't read Order of Phoenix fast enough to still catch it in theater. I can't read Harry Potter books fast, I don't care to much for them, and I'm not that fond of J.K Rowling's writing. I'm just reading it to get the series over with. Can't stop reading at part 4, might as well go to the end.

And since I found out that Order of Phoenix doesn't even hit 2hours 20minutes, I'm not that anxious to see it. I can wait a few months for a DVD release.

  6. Rosemary's Baby (1968): 10/10

Wow...this movie blew me away. Much better than what I was expecting, and different. I was expecting a frightening movie like The Exorcist. The horror in this is hard to explain, but it horrified me greatly. Very disturbing movie, by the end I was almost crying, though maybe that's just because I'm Catholic. Best horror film I've ever seen, better than Exorcist, Shining, and Psycho.

    Edit:

I never went on a FT13 Marathon this time, but I did watch several horror films. All of them being first time viewings.

Behind the Mask - The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006/2007): 7.5/10

The documentary scenes are tremendous, and hilarious. Though the slasher scenes are kinda dull. Overall, a very good film.

    Hellraiser (1987): 8/10

    Young Frankenstein (1974): 5/10

I don't know why, but Gene Wilder annoys me a lot. Though I enjoyed this movie a lot more than Willy Wonka.

An American Werewolf in London (1981): 9/10

  7. If you like fiction from the early 1900s and earlier and don't mind reading online, WikiSource is all you need. My friend and I both love it. It has all the essential horror/gothic classics; Frankenstein, Dracula, The Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, works by Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft.

If you'd like a long novel, I recommend "The Stand" by Stephen King. Best book I ever read.

  8. Hmm, still gotta read that, only read 1-4. Let's see, I'll finish my current novel today. I can start reading it Wednesday. I'm seeing the movie Friday or Saturday. Damn, I could never read that in 2-3 days. I'm slow, I usually only read 50-150 pages a day. Guess I'll have to watch it then read it, like I did with Goblet of Fire. Aw well.

And I am looking forward to the movie a lot. For 1-3, I actually preferred the movies, and only felt that GoF had the better book. I still enjoyed the movie though.

  9. VII is great, I just highly dislike Cloud and Sephiroth. I like just about everyone else though. That's why I had to give up on VII though, Cloud. Story was awesome, I just hated that pointy haired bastard.

Now IX is a game you can't go wrong with. Much better characters, especially Zidane and Vivi. Can't remember story that well, I jut remembered liking it.

And my personal favourite: Tactics. Fairly decent graphics, extremely bad translations (Black Mage = Wizard!!?? WTF!!??), a story that had around a million plot twists and was nearly impossible to follow, yet it's my favourite game of all time. Even though it was very complex, I did love the plot. Hell, the ending made m cry. I don't know...maybe I'm jut retarded...

And as for the 2D FF games, VI is the best in my opinion.

  10. I enjoyed the movie.

I was expecting crap. But honestly, when the opening sentence begins with "Before time began...", can you blame me? I was laughing for 5 minutes straight in the cinema because of that line.

  11. House of the Dead: 0/10

G'eh. Third worst movie I've seen in my entire life (just behind C.Holocaust and Faces of Death). I started getting drowsy around 20 minutes and was fading in and out. An hour in I just shut it off. Makes Bloodrayne look like North by Northwest.

  12. I despise the Blair Witch Project and I hate the idea of shooting an entire movie with hand-held cameras. Yet for some reason I'm still anxious about seeing this movie. I'm getting caught up into the marketing ploy.

And I have a feeling this movie will suffer from too much hype. There's no way it'll live up to it, unless it's the greatest movie of the last decade - which this will not be.

  13. I have never seen a Boll movie and for so long I had avoided his films (can you blame me?). Well I finally decided to give them a try. I was gonna go on a "Uwe Boll Marathon" and watch his 3 video game 'adaptations' in one day. I tried, but I had to space them out. My brain can't handle that amount of abuse in such a short span. Watched one last night, one early today, and I'll watch the other one tomorrow.

    Bloodrayne: 2/10

I give it 2 instead of 1 cause watching Madsen play Vladmir was hilarious and added to my enjoyment. Other than that, movie had no positives. I could not make out the plot at all. It just seemed like random events happening. The CGI was bad, the acting was emotionless. And as much as I love Meat Loaf's music, he really didn't help the movie at all.

    Alone in the Dark: 1/10

How did Tara Reid get a Razzie nomination and not Christian Slater? In my opinion, his acting was much worse. The first half was laugh-out-loud funny because of the amount of stupidity. The second half was flat-out boring and I just couldn't pay attention for the last 15-20 minutes.

House of the Dead tomorrow...oh joy. Well I watched 2 good movies today.

    28 Weeks Later: 7/10

    Transformers: 7.5/10

"Fun" is the word in my opinion that best describes this movie. Lots of action, cheesy dialogue, above average plot. The CGI was amazing, the Transformers looked better than I could have ever imagined. Acting overall was pretty good, and Shia really impressed me. An improvement from his performance in Disturbia (which I found fairly decent). So far this is my 3rd favorite movie of 2007 (behind 300 and Grindhouse).
