  1. Oooh, link me. :shifty: I love the original. The singer has the cutest voice. Okay, maybe not as cute as the bird from The Postmarks, but still pretty damn cute.

Just got hold of it. I really like it. Speaking of Kyte apparently their album and EP are both sold out in the UK. I know they'd have limited pressings (the EP especially) but that's pretty nuts. Which kind of explains why they've put the EP on "Science For The Living", which is being released over here later in the year. Still not really 100% sure about that album, it has some great tunes, but it doesn't flow well because it's really chopped and changed from different places/recording sessions. Plus I feel they had much better tunes floating around which haven't been included like; "ihnfsa", "Like She Said", "Each Life Critical", "The Ceiling Seems To Disappear" and "The Art Of Sunset". All of which are absolutely outstanding tracks.

Plus they have t-shirts for sale...they're a bit dull. If they'd been the self-titled 'birds' design/logo I'd have been all over them, black on white...but they're the new band 'logo' from "Science For The Living", and just plain. :(

I still hate myself for not seeing them last summer at Head Of Steam for £4...cos my 'quite like' has developed into a full on throbbing erection for them. :shifty:

    They actually have a remix page as well;

    http://www.myspace.com/kyteremixes

They have remixes of; "Cradle" by The Joy Formidable, "The Lucky One" by Au Revoir Simone, "Moving To New York" by Wombats, no idea who "The Red Song" is by and google tells me "Owl In The Dark" is by Stephanie Dosen.

"The Red Song" is seemingly by a band called The Late Parade, who like Peter Broderick. Good on them. :D

oh sweet. i checked out the original version of cradles. different to what i expected, but awesome nontheless

  2. Stuff like that always happens. A bunch of bands that get popular it's after they release stuff. I mean, The Killers re-released all their early singles and stuff (think the album was out before they got big too). There's a bunch recently. Fuck, that Metro Station song that's getting all sorts of play recently, that album was released in like 2006 or something.

and its a horrible song as well . currently on my iPod:

  3. I've literally haven't checked out any new music since january!, so i've assembled quite a list on stuff i want to checkout:

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart (Bought and listened this morning, pretty good actually!)

    Anthony & The Johnsons

Frank Turner - Love Ire & Song (loved sleep for the weak)

Kyte (following from someones post previously)

    Bon Iver

The new death cab EP when its out

The Decemberists - Hazards of Love

And i might as well add the Yeah Yeah Yeah's to that list, just heard 'skeletons' and i love it. The Acoustic Version is pretty sweet as well.

Oh and has anyone listened to "Dark Was The Night" compilation. Brilliant! :)

  4. Was catching up on the previous page and YI - is that a new album from loney dear? i can't find it on iTunes. The fist album - Lonely Noir was awesome. I' cant tell if its this album your talking about, as theres a track called "I Am John" on that album. Is dear john the same song?

Can't find the grammatics either, but the vague archive is pretty good.

Yes, NEW ALBUM. And Grammatics isn't out yet, but it's leaked, and not that particularly difficult to find (as I've seen it about 3/4 different places). :shifty:

obtaining loney dear now :P and i'll keep a lookout for grammatics

  5. Am currently downloading The Kills - Midnight Boom, based on Cheap and CHeerful on the NHL soundtrack.

That and the fact that URA Fever is a mind boggling brain fuck of epic proportions.

    Edit>

  6. i dont visit this thread often enough.

To whoever replied 3 pages ago, i got through fleet foxes and helsinki on my album list. Really like fleet foxes, very relaxing. Still unsure about helsinki, there are good tracks and then there are tracks that make my ears hurt.

i think it requires some more listening

  7. BUUUUMP!!!...anymore opinions on this? The next one's been put together, I might put it off for a while, or just upload it this weekend.

Sorry YI, didn't think much of any of them  except for the teamABC song which i liked. Enjoyed #3, gonna move on to #5 i think

  8. Zebrahead's got a shitty wrestling theme link I can't think of right now but I'm sure I'll find on my copy of WWE: Wreckless Intent...

Yup...her legs go on and on for days. :(

Yep! :pervert: They also had two songs on one of the Smackdown Vs Raw soundtracks. Pretty sure it was the first one

  9. We do have a VH1, but I presume it's very much different to yours (like our MTV2 is the indie/rock channel, and has a bunch of obscure indie/electro and stuff on at night) as our VH1 is mostly 'classics' and stuff.

That is the best part! I love DIY Disco and 120 Minutes on MTV2. Although being on at 1am-3am, i rarely get to see 120 minutes.

I've been repeatedly listening to Rilo Kiley's "Execution of All Things" album. Its near perfect! except for the 2 songs that the dude sings.

  10. Other than Transatlanticism, what DCFC album should I download?

'Plans' and 'Narrow Stairs' are really accessible albums to get into. If you prefer the older stuff, not quite as catchy as the newer albums and might take a few listens to appreciate it, then check out 'the photo album' or 'We have the facts and we're voting yes'

Anyone here like watching 120minutes on mtv2? Its on 1am-3am every night.

    I'm currently listening to ...

    Ladytron - Ghosts -

Thomas Tantrum - Work It -

Jack Kerouac - Aint We Got Fun, - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZfe3Nb3ZKw

    ...constantly, any fans?
