  1. Yeah, when it comes to Yardys darts, I think they work well in the 20 over form of the game, but not so much in 50 over. I have a feeling that Tredders may get a run out because of the wicket, but you never know. If Gayles injured, thats a big bonus. Pollard is a big hitter, but as I say i'm not 100% that the pitch will work in his favour. We shall see!

  2. It's extremely hard to smash the ball out of the ground on that pitch. Far easier to do it on a nice track like the Windies have been playing on up until now. The pitch doesn't suit them, plus we have already had the oppertunity to play on it. I can see us strangling, our quickies won't get 10 overs each. 10 for Swann, 10 for Yardy and prob 10 for the off cutters of Colly. Pollard will struggle on that track. I also don't agree with putting Pollards threat above that of Gayle, despite him not being in great form.

  3. Group B as it stands:

    IND - 4 games - 7 points

    WI - 4 games - 6 points

    ENG - 5 games - 5 points

    SA - 3 games - 4 points

    BAN - 4 games - 4 points

    IRE - 4 games - 2 points

    NED - 4 games - 0 points

    Remaining Fixtures:

    IND vs. SA (Tomorrow)

    BAN vs. NED (14th)

    IRE vs. SA (15th)

    ENG vs. WI (17th)

    IRE vs. NED (18th)

    BAN vs. SA (19th)

    IND vs. WI (20th)

If Bangladesh beat the Netherlands, then England are so fucking screwed. I just don't see us beating West Indies at all. :(

Why not, we obviously raise our game against the better opposition. Plus it's back on the ground where we played SA, and therefore need a good spinner here and there, we have that, not sure the West Indies spinners are up to the quality of ours. I think we will do it!

  4. We shouldn't have had to rely on big hitting bowlers at the end. Fortunatly they stepped up to the plate and did a job, but boy did we make it hard. A fantastic match, we may have got the job done with Morgan. Not so sure about India as favourites now, yes their batting is very very good, but their bowling and fielding leaves an awful lot to be desired. Great advert for 50 over cricket.

  5. I'd like Arsenal to sign Chris Samba, he's just the sort of no nonsense beast that they need at the back. I would also like them to keep Sczcesny between the sticks, I think he has a great deal of potential. Other than that, shipping out Bendtner and Denilson and replacing them with better models, I don't think Arsene has to do too much more.

  6. I can't see past India at the moment, not sure SA have what it takes again. I would like to see an England vs India final and I think it could happen. England are one decent all-rounder away from being a world class outfit, can't see Luke Wright going too far. Never count out Australia though, they always do well in the World Cup environment.

  7. To me it's a straight fight between Westwood and Swann. I think Westwood getting to world number one has been severely underplayed and he deserves a great deal more credit, starting with this.

Swann is at the top of his game and is the leading spinner in the world and the second best bowler in the world. He has worked his backside off to get to where he is now, and fully deserves acolades.

  8. Glad to see Australia have decided to make a game of it again. Typical of England to collapse when the pressure is finally put on. I think we can chase anything up to 380, so a good burst early morning would be nice. We've taken some big wickets regardless of form, so hopefully we can get the rest out by middle of tomorrow.

  9. I think Hussey got away with it very early on in the day. He looked plumb a couple of times to me. Andersons spell at the beginning of the day is very encouraging. Good for Finn getting a 6-fer, but he still bowls too short for my liking.
