Get in there we beat Hull 2-0. No-one expected us to go through. The Colchester United cup run begins again!
-
Tim Howard would have been playing in the FA Cup match even if Carroll hadn't made that cock up. The only way we'll know if Fergie has dropped Roy is when Man United face Liverpool in the premiership next week.
-
The linesman didnt see the ball cross the line as you can see at the exact same time it crosses the line he has his head down as he is sprinting when he looks up Caroll has just scrambled it out.

My Arsenal team suck we've been dragged into mid table medicority because Benitez (who got sacked by Liverpool at exactly the same time Arsenal sacked Wenger which was kind of odd) left me with the crappiest team around. I had signed Reyes and Fabregas when at Chelsea so I could only afford to bring back Fabregas. The team he left behind is awful though he got rid of Henry, Viera, Ljunberg, Pires and Edu and replaced them with a load of rubbish. He did make a couple of good buys though such as Downing and Smith (who has been out for 6 months this season).
Have got Woodgate coming in on a free though which is the only highlight of a crap year for me in which I got sacked by Chelsea and Wales after getting Wales a record 9-0 loss against Poland due to having my two centre halves sent off. And my rep went from world class to national which sucks makes me wish I had never taken on the Arsenal job.
Here is my wonderful Arsenal team from the 07/08 season.
GK: Lastuvka/Reina
RB: Hoyte/Lauren
LB: Cole
CB: Campbell/Cygan
CB: Toure/Pavon
MR: Etxeberria/Pennant
ML: Downing/Ji-Sung
MC: Carrick/Fabregas
MC: Baraja/Blasi/Flamini
FC: Smith (Injured)/Saha
FC: Berbatov/Cole

Bad Santa.
One of the more funnier christmas movies.

I know soccer is 90 minute matches but the point I was trying to make was that 88 minutes of those 90 are boring.
-
So we've drawn AC Milan then.
Its going to be an incredibly close match but I think we will just shave it. I think having Rooney and Ruud playing for us will be the thing that tilts it in our favour. If Ruud or Rooney are injured at the time of the match then it will be hard for us to get through I think but both sides are so well matched you cant really make a clear judgement. Should be one of the games of the champions league this season.

Great draw.
Dream game for us. AC Milan are a fantastic side and I cant wait to see our match with them its sure to be another great european night.

Brown 'to leave Man Utd'
England defender Wes Brown looks set to leave Manchester United in January after rejecting a new contract.
The 24-year-old will become a free agent in the summer, but United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said he hoped to recoup some money for the player.
Ferguson told the Guardian newspaper: "We've made the boy an offer and he's turned it down. It's his decision.
"There are no more talks planned that I'm aware of. We'd like to avoid the situation where he leaves on a free."
Brown is believed to be one of the club's lowest earners and is said to have requested a sizeable increase in salary during recent negotiations, a sum United's money men were not willing to meet.
Ferguson said he would still "love" Brown to stay at the club but that "if he wants to look elsewhere, that's up to him".
And he blamed the decision by the United defender on a change in agent.
"He has changed his agent - I don't know why," said Ferguson.
"He's got an agent that has given him advice that I do not understand. I think the problem is with the agent, not the player."
Goalkeeper Roy Carroll is the other main figure out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season.

He set up bellion and tried to find van Nistelrooy whenever he got the ball. I hate the way because he scored a hat trick he's greedy. Whats the point in setting up a team mate when you can score a goal?
Silvestre out played Ferdinand so he does not need to "improve drastically" as monkey claims.

6-2 win.
Bit dodgy in defending corners but other than that well played by United. A 6-2 win without the threat that Ronaldo and Scholes offer. United certainly back in business now and with added Rooney.

Aston Villa 3 - 0 Crystal Palace

So annoying that I dont get any fixtures because I have Windows ME. But I've got a load of friendlys instead to kind of simulate it and it is a really good game.

Good performance by Man Utd last night. Looked solid at the back and down the wings were a threat. Ronaldo had yet another great match last night. We could have scored more than just the 2 we did and deserved to win the match. We out played Liverpool and during the first half looked like the Manchester United that took apart teams of old. First 10 of 2nd half was a little wobbly but from then on we looked comfortable. Just shows the difference Rio makes as the team seemed a lot more confident going forward knowing he was back there to deal with any problems. All that needs to be done now is to drop O'Shea and we'll be very strong indeed.
Also I dont see why people say Liverpool played well and that it was an even contest. Manchester United had most of the possesion and Liverpool lacked any attacking ideas other than a 10 minute spell at the beginning of the second half.
-
Well 2-2 out of what looked like a 2-0 loss was an ok result.
Howard, Djemba and O'Shea should all be dropped for the game against Liverpool.
Heinze, Ronaldo and van Nistelrooy were the only United players that played at the proper level you would expect from united players.
Team I would like to see for the Liverpool game:
Caroll
Brown Ferdinand Silvestre Heinze
Ronaldo Keane Scholes Giggs
Van Nistelrooy Smith
-
You do realise if Arsenal draw a game and United win one it takes 2 points off don't you? We're only 5 games in theres still 33 left. Writing teams off now is stupid.
-
Heinze looks like a very good player. Shame United were so sloppy today. Rio is back next week for Liverpool though he should sort our defensive problems out.

Todays results in the premiership so far....and we should really use this thread for all football talk rather than seperate ones, makes sense in my eyes.

Man City 0 Everton 1
Middlesbrough 2 Birmingham 1
Newcastle 3 Blackburn 0

Personally I felt that was what made the final fantasy series so good. And now they've scrapped it.
-
Bellamy played better than Hartson. All Hartson did was give away free kicks in the other teams penalty area. But whatever they do England will beat them as they just don't have the quality to match England.
-
Wales should have won that game in the last couple of minutes. If Bellamys shot had found its way to Earnshaw im sure they would have scored instead Collins hit into the side netting. Wales are now in the situation where they must beat England next month. With Ferdinand, Campbell and Rooney back by then I dont think they stand much of a chance. If they want to win that game they must drop Hartson and start with Earnshaw. They wont have Savage either but they will have Giggs which could be useful for them as he plays regulary at Old Trafford.

Could be good tonight. Manchester United seem to be likely to field a stronger side but the defence wont be the first team one. Saha is set to return for sure tonight.
