An attorney for Michael Vick says the quarterback was not present when a shooting took place outside a nightclub where Vick had celebrated his birthday.

Larry Woodward says the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was neither involved nor present when the shooting occurred early Friday.

The NFL is looking into the matter, a league spokesman told Steve Wyche. It is not known if Vick is expected to meet with Commissioner Roger Goodell but there were parameters put in place upon his reinstatement last year and the league’s investigation could be in part to determine to see if any of those rules were violated.

The Eagles released a statement saying, "We are aware of the incident that occurred in Virginia early this morning and are in the process of gathering all of the facts. Until then, we will not have any comment on this matter."

Virginia Beach Police spokesman Adam Bernstein said a man sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting at around 2 a.m. outside the club Guadalajara. Vick's party had started there late Thursday.

Bernstein said he knew nothing about any connection to Vick's party.

Vick and his brother Marcus were at the party, Guadalajara Executive Partner Allen Fabijan told WAVY.com. He said Michael Vick left in a black Mercedes just before 2 a.m., which he said was captured on a security camera.

Bernstein said the victim was taken to the hospital. He says the victim and witnesses were uncooperative other than describing the shooter as a black man in a white Cadillac Escalade.

I was going to mention the survey, think it's too late for them to do anything for this year's game though, which is a poor effort really. They never even updated rosters like they were supposed to for this year, it's like they've just gone "fucking fine, you have online franchise, sut up about it".

They eventually did update rosters when the last roster update come out, but too late though of course

when logging on I had to a EA survey about online franchises so maybe they still have plans on it. at the least they are curious of who plays it and how many play it. I'll clear roster room but I don't have to do much as I never had a full roster last season.

They have said that they plan on changing franchise mode and superstar mode around for next years game so that might be what it was about.

I got in, played 3 of them, gonna play the others in a bit waiting on a friend to get on. Pretty cool so far though

I went and seen it last night and thought it was pretty good. Camera work was pretty bad during some of the fight scenes though, Thought I was watching a WWE film at first Also the beginning he explains his backstory a little, and they show it it comic book graphics instead of actually acting it out, which I thought it was dumb because you could have fit all he talked about into about 10 minutes or so. Even Megan Fox wasn't as horrible as she usually is, besides the butchering of that accent

The only notable superhero character more comedy-inclined than Spider-Man is Deadpool. One of my biggest complaints about the Maguire/Raimi Spider-Man is that none of that trademark wit was there in the first two movies.

For me, when I watch a movie based on a comic book, or a book. I want the character to at least look the same as what I've pictured while reading, or what is illustrated in the comic book, which is why I don't think Donald Glover works. I've never seen him act, but I just couldn't grasp a black Spider-Man.

This. I for one wouldn't have a problem with Glover playing Spiderman, but that's why it would be difficult people to understand because he's portrayed as white in the comics, movies, TV shows, etc.
