Buddy Rice has won the 88th Indianapolis 500. The race was called after 179 laps due to rain. Here is the unofficial order of finish.

I remember when the Indy 500 ment something. Now I was more excited for the F-1 race then the Indy race.

Shouldn't Robby Gordon get some credit for the race? I know Jacques Lazier took over when Gordon had to go to Charlotte to run the NASCAR race. Even though Gordon isn't running at all anymore, how does the IRL go about distributing the championship points for Gordon and Lazier?

I really don't like Auto Racing. I only watched the Indy 500 because my buddies and I get together to watch all big sporting events Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, Daytona 500). It's a tradition and I only noticed Gordon because my buddy pointed out to me that he was going to race 1100 miles in one day.

I watch REAL races only ... i.e. 24 Hrs of La Mans (Le Mans), however the hell it's spelled.

Called for rain ... pfftt ... Any race that doesn't involve more than just left hand turns isn't a race.

Eh, the Coke 600 is probably the more important race nowadays. The Indy 500 really has becoming nothing since CART split.
