Brushing

Does anyone have any good tutorials for brushing in PS? Also any good brushes would be helpful. Thank you for your help.

Have you checked the resources thread? I'm not much help since I don't use Photoshop but there should be some links in there. If not someone else should be along to help soon...

My main probelm is I dont know what kinds of brushes to use or how to use them.

I think tutorials are very good most of the time but I've found that with brushes it's just better to experiment yourself.

There's some brushes there which are damn good. If you do really want tutorials though, go to Here and just type in 'brushes' or something like 'dark' and that should come back with a few.

That depends on what kind of graphic you want. It's all on your taste. That is what seperates us as graphic artists.

Really it doesn't matter what type of brushes you get because they all can be used to make great backgrounds and with enough work they can stadn out in the background with out people lnowing which brush you used .

I usually download alot of texture brushes , but most of all I make my own from all the stocks I collect , I can send you some of my brushes if you want as long as you have PS 7

Try here for Photoshop brushes. I get abstract brushes for stuff like in my sig, an example of an abstract brush:
