So, there's the debut video for The Kinison. I went to school with the guitar players and lead singer, was and still am a good friend of the lead singer (Chris Lewis). I own all of their cds new and old, if anyone wants to hear, pm me or email me (alternateyou@yahoo.com)

What do you guys think of them? Maybe my opinion (really good) is slightly tainted by knowing and being friends with them?

They were fucking horrible opening for Blink in December. I know you're friend with them, they do have potential but i'm not a fan (They were bood pretty fucking hard and had shit thrown at them. Only in Newcastle will people throw fucking bottles full of water at people. Which guitarist did you go to school with? The one with the big afro thing? If so, ultimate respect (He was the best thing about them, just 'cos he looked cool). A question is the singer naturally that camp? His scream was just too horrible. I don't rate them at all, it was horrible.

Umm...both guitar players, the bass player and drummer were picked up in Los Angelas.

Yeah, I don't like their new style that much either, but they have always been led by his wierd screaming style. It fit better with their old stuff.

I saw them opening for Blink at Newscastle as well, and they sucked a fat one. Seriously, my ears were nearly bleeding by the end of their set.

He's not like that all the time, just when on stage...wierd.

He used to get drunk right before shows, so that could be it.

I haven't seen them live since 1999 (when they were just Kinison, not The Kinison).

Their old sound was quite a bit better (to me anyways). It had less pop influence and they weren't on a label so they didn't have to please anybody as far as that goes, they were pretty much LOUD, FAST, Screaming Hardcore. None of their old stuff is available on the net, I'd like to put up what I have (all of it), but am unaware of a free way to do so without consuming bandwidth limit instantly. I'll work on taking little clips or something this weekend.
