Brightness problems with Photoshop

Recommended Posts

Alright...I've noticed a problem with my Photoshop recently, and it really doesn't make any sense.

I'll make a graphic in it, or open a picture in it, and everything's darker then it should be. Not like, REALLY dark...just darker then normaly. If I copy it and paste it into paint it's back to how it was, but in Photoshop everything opens darker then it really is.

This becomes a pain trying to make graphics now because yeah, everything's too dark =\

What's going on? How can I fix it? (I've reinstalled...still nothing x_o)

Sounds like your color profiles have become mixed up . try going to preferences and see if the color profile is the same as it was ?

Hmmm...I'm running Photoshop 6.0, where's the color profile at in preferences? I can't seem to find it

I've never actually messed around with anything in Photoshop's preferences, so I'm a wee bit unsure of what to do here, lol
