What kind of music is "Franz Ferdinand"? Can you give me an example of who they might be similar to? Sort of a "If you like *blank*, you'll like Franz Fredinand". I've seen them mentioned around here a lot and I've seen their stuff in mp3 newgroups but never knew what they were like. The name makes me think of that old ABBA song "Fernando" and that bit they did with it on Malcom in the Middle.

They sound like a mix between the Talking Heads and Blur. They're more like the Talking Heads, but with a lot more suck.

I'll explain. They're a young Aussie independant band who've just released their first EP. They recently filmed a promotional video and their first music video at my work where I heard them and they're the best thing I've heard in years. They have samples on their site www.halitosis.com.au if anyone cares. But their EP hasn't left my CD player since I got it.
