The (kind of) joint-brand Pay-Per-View King of the Ring kicked off with pyrotechnics exploding. Combined with the hot crowd, the PPV was set to get underway. The camera flashed over to ringside, where Tazz and Michael Cole welcomed the crowd to the show. They gave a rundown of the matches on the card, before previewing them. After that was over, the show was set to start.

First, Mr. Kennedy's theme hit and he walked out to the ring for his first Pay-Per-View matchup ever, against Matt Hardy. He came down to a mixed reaction, but mostly boos. Kennedy entered the ring, looking arrogant as ever, as a microphone was lowered from the rafters. Kennedy grabbed it and began to speak.

Ken Kennedy: The following matchup is scheduled for...ONE FALL! With a twenty minute time limit. I stand at 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and I weigh in tonight at 244 pounds. I hail from Green Bay, Wisconsin. I am MISTEEEER KENNEDY! *crowd boos at Kennedy smirks*...KENNEDY!

After Kennedy was done speaking, Matt Hardy's theme music hit and he came out to the ring to a nice pop. The fans looked on as Hardy walked down to the ring, where Kennedy was awaiting him. Hardy rolled in the ring and got attacked by Kennedy.

Tazz: Kennedy wasting no time here, Cole!

Mr. Kennedy stomped on Hardy before lifting him up by his hair and backing him into a corner. He hit punches to his body and head, before Irish whipping Hardy to the other turnbuckle. Mr. Kennedy ran at him and Hardy ducked under a clothesline, sending him into the corner. The fans popped as Hardy hit jabs to Kennedy's head and gut. Hardy ran back and connected with a Monkey Flip! Mr. Kennedy rolled out of the ring to regain his composure as the fans went wild for Hardy!

Michael Cole: Look at Hardy, countering and getting the control here early in the matchup!

Mr. Kennedy rolled back in the ring and ran straight at Matt, who connected with a dropkick. Kennedy got back up and ran at Hardy again, who attempted a dropkick, but Kennedy stopped short. Hardy came up empty as Kennedy laughed and posed to boos from the crowd. Kennedy stomped and toyed with Hardy, kicking him in the face and going down just to rake his eyes. The boos from the crowd kept getting louder as Kennedy locked in a Half-Boston Crab. Hardy was obviously in excruciating pain as he screamed. He would, however, get to the ropes.

Tazz: The will to fight for Hardy might not be a good thing.

After Hardy got up, Kennedy pounced and grabbed his hair. Kennedy raked the eyes, pulled the hair, choked, etc. Mr. Kennedy picked up Matt Hardy and tried a DDT, but Hardy punched him in the stomach and broke the attempt. Hardy quickly got in position and landed a Side Effect for a two count. After that, Hardy went to the top rope to attempt a Diving Legdrop. As Hardy was climbing, he got stuck for a moment, giving Kennedy the opportunity he needed. Mr. Kennedy hopped up to the second rope and forced Hardy to a sitting position with punches. After getting the advantage on the top rope, Kennedy got in position and hit the Lambeau Leap! He covered for the 1, 2, 3 and Kennedy has defeated Matt Hardy! His theme hit and he was ready to leave as the bell was rung. Kennedy grabbed a mic.

Ken Kennedy: And the winner of the match...ONCE AGAIN...MISTEEERRR...KENNEDY! ...KENNEDY!

Michael Cole: Kennedy takes the victory over Matt Hardy in his first Pay-Per-View match ever!

Winner: Mr. Ken Kennedy

Alex Shelley's theme echoes throughout the King of the Ring arena as the challenger, Alex Shelley, walked out looking for a chance to gain the Cruiserweight Championship for the first time here in World Wrestling Entertainment. He slaps the hands of the fans before setting up his camera at the top of the ramp and getting in the ring for the biggest match of his WWE career. Then, Kid Kash's music hit and he came out, looking arrogant with his Cruiserweight Championship around his waist. The fans booed while Kash walked down the ramp. The Cruiserweight Champion walked by and got in the ring.

Tazz: Both men are lookin' good for this match, Cole!

Michael Cole: They definitely look set for this matchup, Tazz, and it should be great!

Both men get into a test of strength, which Kash breaks up with a kick to the gut. He begins to hammer on the back of the Student of the Game. Shelley would block a punch and return a blow of his own. Alex got the momentum and bounced off the ropes, before hitting a crossbody. Both men quickly got to their feet, where Kash hit some hard kicks to the challenger. After a sweep kick and a quick running senton, both men were back on their feet. The Cruiserweight Champion ran at the challenger and was hit with an arm drag. Shelley cinched in an arm wrench, which slowed the matchup down.

Tazz: Wow, Shelley's been able to keep up with the Cruiserweight Champion so far here!

Shelley lifted Kash to his feet and hit some hard chops to the champion. He Irish whipped him into the ropes and hit a dropkick, followed by a cover for a two count. The Student of the Game lifted up Kid Kash and hit a Northern Lights Suplex, which also netted a two count. As Alex lifted him up again, Kash started to fight back, gaining heat from the crowd. Kash pushed him backwards into the turnbuckle and lifted him into a sitting position on the top rope. With the quickness of a cat, Kid Kash jumped up onto the top rope and hit a Hurricanrana! He hurt himself on the fall as well!

Michael Cole: Wow! Can Kid Kash take advantage and make the cover?

The Cruiserweight Champion was able to crawl over and drape his arm over the challenger. The referee counted, 1..2..KICK OUT! Shelley barely got his shoulder up as the crowd popped. Kid Kash got up and was shocked! The champion waited for Shelley to get up and kicked him in the stomach. He hooked his arms and went for the Dead Level, but Shelley wouldn't let him lift him up. The challenger hit a knee to the stomach, which broke Kash's grip. The Student of the Game capitalized, hitting a Swinging Reverse STO, which he calls the Shellshock! He made the cover and the referee counted the 1, 2, 3! New Cruiserweight Champion!

Michael Cole: He did it! Alex Shelley beat Kid Kash for the Cruiserweight Title!

Tazz: I really didn't think it'd happen, but Alex Shelley did it!

Shelley celebrated with the championship inside the ring, as Kid Kash looks disappointed outside, heading to the back.

Winner: Alex Shelley (new Cruiserweight Champion)

The next match was another championship match, but this one was for the WWE Tag Team Championships. MNM's theme hit and the challengers walked to the ring along with their manager, Melina. Paparazzis were in front of them as a red carpet was rolled down. The cameras flashed as Melina, surrounded by Nitro and Mercury, headed down to the ring. After MNM got in the ring and took off their coats and sunglasses, the hard rock theme of the WWE Tag Team Champions hit and the team came out to a group name, announced by Tony Chimmel as "Sky High." The champs ran down to the ring and handed the belts to the referee, who transferred them to the outside and called for the bell.

The match began with Paul London in the ring against Johnny Nitro. The two locked up and Paul London hit an arm drag, sending Nitro to the other side of the ring. Nitro ran back at him and London hit the ground, sending Nitro over him. One of the challengers ran back at London, who used a drop toe hold. He quickly rolled over and applied a side headlock. Still applying a headlock, London brought Nitro over to his corner and tagged out to Brian Kendrick. Kendrick stepped through the ropes and dropkicked Nitro in the knee as London dropped down to slam Johnny on his face.

Michael Cole: The Tag Team Champions are looking great, with London running all over Johnny Nitro in the early going!

Joey Styles: Definitely Cole, now let's see if they can keep this fast pace up and not get tired out. Let's not forget that Johnny Nitro isn't the only man for the chall

Brian Kendrick dragged Johnny Nitro back to the middle of the ring and made the cover, which got two. Kendrick hit an elbow drop and got back up. He bounced off the ropes and hit a nice running Shooting Star Press! He made the cover, but Mercury pulled him off and began to stomp at his back. He kicked Kendrick out of the ring and pulled Nitro over to his corner, where he stepped out of the ring and tagged himself in. As he walked in and waited for Kendrick to get back, London was climbing the ropes behind him. London connected with a Missile Dropkick to Mercury as Kendrick crawled back into the ring. He covered Mercury, but Melina put his foot on the ropes. The referee saw the foot on the ropes and broke the count.

Tazz: Melina kept her boys in the matchup there, Cole!

Michael Cole: Damn it! The champions had the match won!

The two got back up and began to brawl. Kendrick whipped Mercury into the ropes, and Mercury hit a clothesline. He made the cover, but got two. Mercury whipped him into the ropes and bounced off the opposite ones. They ran at each other and both hit a clothesline! They were both laid out until a count of 5, where Mercury tagged in Nitro. However, Kendrick made the hot tag to London. London started to take out Nitro, who was no match for him. London hit a nice back elbow after bouncing off the ropes. Mercury came back in, but London bounced off the ropes and hit a dropkick on him, before landing into a Moonsault on Nitro! He made the cover, but just for a two count. Paul London would attempt the London calling next, but Joey Mercury ran over and crotched him on the top rope! He rushed in the ring and MNM set up for the Snapshot, before nailing it and getting the three count on Paul London!

Michael Cole: No! New WWE Tag Team Champions! MNM stole the victory and the belts from Sky High!

But the beatdown wasn't over. Melina screamed at her boys, directing traffic, as she roughed up Tony Chimmel near the bell and grabbed his chair. She threw the steel in the ring as Kendrick was getting back in. Mercury grabbed the chair and bashed it over the head of Brian Kendrick! The fans gave a slight "Ohhhh" as the two lifted up Kendrick and hit the Snapshot on to a chair! He was busted wide open as Melina tossed another chair in the ring. Nitro picked it up and put it under the head of Paul London, signaling for a One-Man Conchairto. As Mercury lifted the steel chair above his head, the lights went out. Videos of people running in fear of hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis, etc. were shown on the scene. Then, the lights turned on and none other than The Naturals, Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas, were standing behind the new WWE Tag Team Champions! Nitro and Mercury turn around to see them and instantly run at them. Each is caught with a clothesline. As they get up, both members of MNM flee from the ring with the WWE Tag Team Championships. The Naturals motion for the belts as Melina screams in frustration. The camera flashes back to Tazz and Michael Cole.

Michael Cole: MNM is running for the hills after being run off by the Naturals!

Tazz: They're finally here on Smackdown! These two have been Tag Team Champions in other promotions, and now they're finally in WWE! MNM's gonna have a big problem on their hands!

Winners: MNM (new WWE Tag Team Champions)

After that, the next match was set to begin. "Metallingus" by Alter Bridge hit and Edge came out wearing his long coat and his sunglasses. He also looks to be growing his hair out again. He came down to the ring, looking unafraid of his opponent, the Boogeyman. As he was set in the ring, the lights dimmed, and Edge started to twitch a bit. Red smoke rose from the aisle and the Boogeyman was set to enter. He came out, crawling for a little bit, before standing up and smashing a clock over his head. Pyro shot up as he kept making his way to the ring. Edge ran at him and started flailing away. The Boogeyman stumbled back a bit as Edge immediately took the fight to the entranceway.

Tazz: Edge showing no fear of the Boogeyman here, let's see if he keeps that up through the match!

The bell was rung and Edge continued to attack the Boogeyman. Edge got up and posed over the motionless Boogeyman, but he grabbed the Rated R Superstar's leg, before Edge went down to punch him again, but the Boogeyman blocked the punch and grabbed his throat. Boogeyman tossed him over towards the backstage area. Boogeyman had complete control as he slammed Edge's head into the screen which was flashing "Smackdown" on it. Edge bounced off it like a basketball as the Boogeyman just smiled evilly. Edge fell to the ground and tried to crawl backstage, but the Boogeyman caught him. He picked him up and went for the "Goodnight", his Pump Handle Slam, but Edge slipped out of the powerslam portion and pushed the Boogeyman into the screen where Edge's face had just been planted into.

Michael Cole: Wow, I don't think the Boogeyman's ever been hurt that much his entire career here on Smackdown!

Edge walked backstage, and the camera flashed backstage, where he was preparing to use a weapon of some sort. The Boogeyman got up and walked backstage, where Edge was waiting around a corner with a barbed wire baseball bat in hand! As the Boogeyman passed by, the Rated R Superstar smashed the bat into his gut! As he keeled over, he took the bat again and smashed it over the Boogeyman's gigantic back! He made the cover, but somehow, someway, the Boogeyman KICKED OUT!

Tazz: Are you serious, Cole?! This guy kicked out of that?! That's unbelievable!

Edge is absolutely shocked as he makes the cover again and the referee slams on the concrete for another two count. The Boogeyman gets back up and Edge goes for another shot with the bat, but the Boogeyman kicked him in the gut. He slammed Edge's face into the concrete wall, before throwing him into a nearby hot dog stand. He grabbed Edge by the hair and brought him all the way into Edge's own locker room and threw him into a locker. He slammed his head into the wood and let him fall. Edge was busted open.

Michael Cole: The Boogeyman is destroying Edge now!

Edge's lifeless body was being dragged throughout the arena. They stopped next in the boiler room, where Edge was thrown into a gas tank. As Boogeyman picked up Edge again, Edge gave him a hard rake to the eyes, followed by punches. The bloody Edge found a garbage can just outside the boiler room, which he took into it and smashed over the Boogeyman's face. He waited for the Boogeyman to get up. The Boogeyman was leaning against a huge gas tank and Edge ran at him as fast as he could and delivered a bone-crushing Spear, ramming the Boogeyman into the tank! Edge, now with a "crimson mask" on his face, made the cover on the lifeless Boogeyman and got the 1, 2, 3!

Tazz: Edge did it! Edge beat the Boogeyman!

Winner: Edge

After that match was over, "Break Down the Walls" hit and it was time for the first King of the Ring Semifinal matchup of the night. "Y2J" Chris Jericho came strutting out, looking extremely arrogant, as usual. The fans showered him with boos, although a few cheers were heard in the crowd. Jericho entered the ring and awaited the theme of his opponent. "One of a Kind" hit and RAW's Rob Van Dam entered the arena through the curtain, looking to gain another title shot at Triple H. Already having the Money in the Bank briefcase, which he carried to the ring, Rob Van Dam looked to face Triple H at Summerslam for the belt without using the contract! RVD stepped in the ring and got to his corner as the crowd was rising in electricity.

Joey Styles: Hello all of you watching at home, commentating this RAW-brand matchup will be myself, Joey Styles, along with Jerry "The King" Lawler.

Jerry Lawler: It feels good to be here, watching more superstars trying to be just like me, and become the King.

Joey Styles: Sure, King. Anyway, this first semifinal matchup is going to feature two men who I had the pleasure of calling matches for in ECW, and every week live on RAW. Rob Van Dam, who is already Mr. Money in the Bank, is looking for another title shot. Chris Jericho wants a shot at the belt himself. Jericho has not lost a Pay-Per-View match since returning to WWE. He beat Chris Benoit at Backlash in a Submission match and John Cena at Vengeance. Can he beat Rob Van Dam here at King of the Ring?

The bell was struck and the match was set to start. The two phenominal athletes met in the ring, locking arms in a grapple. Jericho pushed RVD over to the ropes, and held him there. The referee broke it up as Jericho hit a cheap kick to the knee. He capitalized on it and began to viciously attack Van Dam's left knee. He dragged RVD to the middle of the ring, and locked in a Figure Four Leglock! Jericho put an enormous amount of pressure on the legs of RVD, who was flailing his arms in agony. He let out a large scream, before letting his shoulders down to the mat. The referee made the count, but Van Dam sat back up at two.

Joey Styles: Jericho is a master of submissions, and we're witnessing that right now.

Jerry Lawler: Don't tap RVD!

Van Dam attempted to turn Chris Jericho over and reverse the pressure, and after about twenty seconds of trying, he succeeded! Jericho had the tables turned! Jericho was the one howling in pain, and he tried to make his way to the ropes! Y2J tried to roll RVD back over, and was successful, but RVD used Jericho's momentum against him, causing the two to roll over again, with RVD in control of the move! Jericho would finally reach the ropes. The hold was broken, as both men now had horrible knee pain. Both had to use the ropes for leverage to get back up.

Joey Styles: I think the advantage here goes to Chris Jericho, because Rob Van Dam is more dependant on his feet than Y2J is.

Styles was proven wrong at that moment, because RVD began to deliver hard kicks with both legs. He whipped Jericho into the ropes, and proved that his leg was fine by doing a split to send Jericho to the other side of the ring and off the ropes again. Y2J ran back at Van Dam, who hit a nice Monkey Flip. He was set up in position for Rolling Thunder, which Mr. Money in the Bank went for. As he flipped in mid-air, trying to complete the move, the clever Chris Jericho rolled out of the ring! Van Dam came up empty as Jericho grabbed his leg. He pulled Rob Van Dam over to the ring post and slid him so the ring post was between his two knees. Jericho took his left knee and slammed it with amazing force into the post!

Joey Styles: Oh my GOD!! Rob Van Dam is definitely feeling excruciating pain in his left knee right now!

The referee was at a count of 7 after Jericho was done posing on the outside. Y2J rolled back in the ring and immediately went back after his opponent. He stomped on RVD and locked in a half Boston Crab, but only for a few seconds, as RVD grabbed the ropes. Van Dam used the ropes and turnbuckle to lead him up to his feet. Jericho ran at him, but RVD jumped over him and landed into a Sunset Flip! The count got 2 and 3/4, before the King of the World kicked out.

Joey Styles: Jericho BARELY kicked out there!

Jerry Lawler: Yeah, RVD was almost headed to the finals!

As the two competitors got back to their feet, Jericho looked much quicker. He would hit a sweep kick on RVD and tried to lock in the Walls of Jericho! Van Dam would only let him hook the left leg, as he kicked him off with the other leg. As he kicked him off, Jericho flew straight into the referee! As usual, Jericho got an idea. He grabbed a steel chair from the outside. He bashed RVD over the back with it! Then, he put RVD's leg into it! Jericho went to the top rope and jumped onto the chair, crushing the leg of Van Dam! He quickly tossed the chair out of the ring and woke the referee! Y2J hit a quick Lionsault, made the cover, and got the 1, 2, 3 to move on to the finals of the King of the Ring tournament!

Jerry Lawler: Chris Jericho cheated to beat Rob Van Dam here tonight, and I definitely think that these two should have a rematch, but a clean finish.

Winner: Chris Jericho (advances to the KotR Finals)

“Whatever” blasts throughout the arena as the second semifinal matchup was about to begin. Chris Benoit came out to the ring and he was facing an uphill battle against none other than the Undertaker. Chris Benoit was looking to make the Deadman tap out for the first time in his career. After Chris got in the ring, the lights went out. Purple smoke rose and the fans exploded for the entrance of the Undertaker. The gong sounded and the fans began to electrify. The Deadman walked out from behind the curtain and the fans reached an all-new level. He walked down to the ring, attempting to get in the head of Chris Benoit, who seemed unfazed. When the Undertaker got into the ring, the bell was rung. He took off his coat and hat and handed them to the referee.

Tazz: Chris Benoit ain't backing down from the Deadman here, Cole!

Benoit and Undertaker had a staredown in the middle of the ring, with neither man backing down. Benoit shoved Undertaker, and Undertaker retaliated with a punch. Benoit hit a punch in return, and each superstar would hit two more punches. Undertaker pushed Benoit into a corner and began to hit flush haymakers to the gut of the Rabid Wolverine. Undertaker backed off and Benoit came after him with punches and kicks. Undertaker went for another punch, but Benoit caught his arm and attempted to lock in the Crippler Crossface! He could not get the Undertaker to the ground, however, and Undertaker grabbed the ropes, forcing Benoit to let go.

Michael Cole: Undertaker quickly broke out of that, let's see if he'll get the momentum back in his favor.

The two locked up, with Benoit breaking the grapple and hitting a hard knife-edged chop on the Deadman's gigantic chest. He hit another one, before kicking Undertaker in the gut and hitting a snap suplex. He made the cover, but only got a two count. Benoit quickly got right back on the attack, locking in a Cross Armbreaker on Undertaker. Undertaker would not give up, however. He got up to a standing position, but Benoit still had the hold locked in. Undertaker positioned himself so Benoit was on his shoulders. The referee counted, but Benoit released the hold in order to kick out and continue the match.

Tazz: Smart move by the veteran Undertaker there.

The two fought some more and Undertaker got the advantage. He would hit off the ropes and hit his DDT to Benoit, whose head bounced off of the mat. That got a two count. Undertaker lifted up the Rabid Wolverine and grabbed his arm. He went to the top rope and walked along the ropes, before jumping off and hitting the Old School! After that, he waited for Benoit to get up. He got on his feet and Undertaker ran at him, attempting a clothesline. Benoit ducked, and the referee was CLOCKED!

Michael Cole: Uh oh, that's NOT good for the Deadman.

The two brawled a bit, with Undertaker getting the upside. He would hit a clothesline and signal for the Chokeslam! Benoit walked right into it and was hit with it! He said that was it and he picked up Benoit for the Tombstone Piledriver! He hit the Tombstone and made the cover! But, the referee was still knocked out. Undertaker revived him and turned around to go and cover him again, but by that time, none other than EDGE had snuck into the ring, and was waiting for the Undertaker to turn around. He ran at the Deadman and hit a Spear! He rolled Benoit over onto him and exited the ring. The referee counted, 1...2...3! Chris Benoit will face Chris Jericho in the Finals! The fans were shocked that Edge had helped Benoit, but nonetheless, Benoit's matchup with Chris Jericho was next.

Winner: Chris Benoit (advances to KotR Finals)

Chris Benoit was stirring, but not up yet, as "Break Down the Walls" hit and Chris Jericho was set to make his entrance to the King of the Ring Finals. He looked very confident after defeating Rob Van Dam, and he looked on at the weary and injured Chris Benoit as he walked down to the ring. He got in the ring and immediately began working on the Rabid Wolverine.

Michael Cole: C'mon now! Benoit just went through a grueling match with the Undertaker.

Jericho pulled Benoit's lifeless body over to the turnbuckle, and began slamming his head into the padding. He stood him up in the corner and hit a springboard dropkick! Benoit just collapsed and Jericho made the cover, but Benoit kicked out after two! Jericho picked up Benoit and as he was lifting him up, Benoit, like a snake in the grass, grabbed Jericho's arm and dropped down, locking in the Crippler Crossface! Chris Jericho howled in pain and eventually, after about fifteen seconds, tapped out to the pain! Chris Benoit was the King of the Ring!

Tazz: Benoit did it, Cole! He beat Chris Jericho in what must have been the shortest King of the Ring match in history! I don't believe it! Chris Benoit's gonna face either Randy Orton or Batista at Summerslam!

Winner: Chris Benoit (King of the Ring Winner)

After some final previews and hype for the main event, the time was up. Michael Cole and Tazz talked about the story between the two competitors, Randy Orton and Batista. After the hype was finished, "Unleashed" hit the PA system and the fans in attendance roared in cheers for the challenger, "The Animal" Batista. He came out, looking pumped. He fed off the crowd as he did his machine gun taunt at the top of the entranceway. He completed it and walked down to the ring. He got in and stood in his corner. The cheers turned to massive heat for the World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton. "Burn In My Light" hit and the champion entered through the curtain. As soon as he showed up, the crowd booed. Orton posed at the stage, before walking down to the ring. He got in the ring and handed the belt to the referee.

Tazz: Here we go, Cole! Randy Orton vs. Batista, the World Heavyweight Championship!

The bitter rivals, Batista and Randy Orton, met in the center of the ring. Batista called for a test of strength, and Orton accepted by putting his arm out. The two hands clasped and Batista raised his other hand. Randy grabbed that hand as well. The two were even for a moment, before the powerhouse Batista began to gain the advantage. He started to bend the champion backwards, but Orton was able to land a kick to the knee of The Animal. Batista let go, and Randy began to strike furiously.

Michael Cole: Randy Orton using a cheap kick to get the advantage! Damn!

Orton began to wail at the large back of Batista with forearms. He brought the challenger up for a DDT, but before he could drop down and complete the move, Batista began to run with a full head of steam, pushing Orton back into the turnbuckle. Batista grabbed the second rope on either side of The Legend Killer and began to thrust his shoulder into the champion's stomach. He did it three times before backing out and letting RKO fall to the ground.

Tazz: Here comes the challenger, Cole! Look out for Batista!

The Animal lifted up the champion by his throat and raised him into the air, putting pressure on his throat. The referee counted to four, before Batista threw Orton into the turnbuckle again. He Irish whipped him across the ring into the other turnbuckle, and as Orton went back-first into it, Batista ran at him like an 18-wheeler, hitting a massive clothesline to the champion. Orton walked out groggily, straight into a big powerslam by The Animal. Batista made the cover, but only got a two count.

Tazz: Batista hit a big powerslam, but Orton was able to kick out.

Batista brought Randy Orton up to his feet and Irish whipped him into the ropes. Batista telegraphed a back body drop, and was kicked in his chest by The Legend Killer. Orton started to get the advantage by whipping Batista into the ropes and hitting a standing dropkick. He made the cover, but only got a one and a half. Batista was starting to fight back with punches as Orton lifted him up. After raking Batista's eyes, Orton hit off the ropes and ran DIRECTLY into a Spinebuster from The Animal. The crowd went nuts as Batista was pumped. Orton was seen reaching for his knee, and pulling something out of his kneepad. Batista lifted him up for the Batista Bomb, and as he was up in the air, The Legend Killer plastered him in the head with brass knuckles! Batista fell back and Orton landed in a cover for the 1, 2, 3!

Tazz: What? Orton used those brass knuckles to get the win!

Michael Cole: No! Are you kidding me?! The Animal was robbed! I'm Michael Cole, for Tazz, we're signing off from King of the Ring, have a good night folks!
