Anyways, I recommend AFI. Lots and lots of AFI.

As long as it's pre Sing the Sorrow. Bunch of fucking sellouts.

Sing the Sorrow and Decemberunderground are great albums. They're definately a lot different than their Nitro Records stuff, but I own all 7 of their albums (and 1 ep), and if you listen to them all the way through, you can hear the changes happening. It's not like all of a sudden AFI became this 80s style Synth-Pop/Screamo band.
