ECW-14th November 2006

Segment 1:

The ECW music plays over the arena as ECW announcers Joey Styles and Tazz introduce the viewers to the show. The ECW music gets quieter and then stops. After a pause, Paul Heyman's music is heard and he makes his way down the aisle to the ring. He has a mic and after getting into the ring, starts talking. He says that he is pleased that Raw General Manager Vince McMahon made the decision to make a WWE vs. ECW match at Survivor Series, so that Extreme Championship Wrestling can kick WWE's ass. The crowd cheer at this, as Heyman grins. He then says that tonight, the Survivor Series qualifying matches will begin. He announces that tonight, we will see in the first qualifying match, Sabu and Justin Credible fight one on one. Then, he says that in the second qualifying match, Kurt Angle and Tanuka will fight. He ends by saying that this is not all, and that ECW will be turning up next Monday on RAW to kick some of World Wrestling Entertainment's ass. The crowd cheer wildly as Heyman's music plays and he walks to the back.

80%

Sabu vs. Justin Credible

Both of the superstars looked ready for action in the opening match of ECW. Sabu took the early advantage over Credible as he used speed to overcome his opponent. A thumb to the eye though shifted the momentum back to Credible. He gained momentum, despite being booed by the crowd, and looked like to would win it, but Sabu somehow reversed a suplex into a devastating DDT! He then ascended the turnbuckle, and hit an amazing Triple Jump Moonsault to pin Credible and advance to Survivor Series.

Segment 2:

Backstage after the match, we see Terry Funk, the ECW legend with a mic. The crowd pop hugely at seeing him on the screen. Funk raises his mic and starts talking about how great the new management taking over ECW is, and that he has had permission to return to Extreme Championship Wrestling in in-ring action next week! This gets a huge pop as Funk walks off screen.

74%

Kurt Angle vs. Masata Tanaka

My, My, this was a one sided encounter. Angle took an early advantage in the match, but despite some pressure during the middle of the match from Masata, Angle won the match comfortably to go through to the WWE vs. ECW Survivor Series match when, after hitting the Angle Slam, he locked in the Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring and Tanaka had no choice but to tap out.

Segment 3:

After the match, The Sandman appears on the screen walking backstage. The crowd predictably pop at this sight. The Sandman walks into a corridor, and gets attacked by a couple of men in masks! They throw him into the wall before stomping on him. The two men stop, and out of the dark, comes Mamaluke and Trinity. The two masked men take off their masks and reveal themselves to be none other than Big and Little Guido. The FBI stand next to a bloodied and battered Sandman. Trinity bends down, and says to Sandman that his days of ECW wrestling are over, before blowing him a kiss. The Four walk off looking very pleased with themselves as Sandman tries and fails to get up.

73%

Booker T vs. Rob Van Dam

The Smackdown! superstar Booker came out first, followed then by RVD. The two stared down in the middle of the ring, as the bell rung. A tie up led to Booker kicking away at RVD in the corner. Booker used this to get the early advantage of the match as he used some slow yet very effective moves to wear down Rob. But the momentum changed when Rob ducked a spinning kick and hitting a spinning kick of his own on Booker. The crowd got behind him as Rob hit some extraordinary athletic moves. Booker was on the ropes and seemingly couldn't handle the speed of the WWE and ECW Champion, and had to do something desperate. Booker grabbed a chair from the outside whilst recovering from being sent to the outside by Rob, and came into the ring. The referee grabbed the chair, but whilst he was distracted, Booker low blowed Rob right in the jewels! He then hit the Book End, and then went to finish off the match. He did his classic spinarooney as the crowd boo'ed. He kicked Rob in the gut and went for the Scissors Kick, but Rob moved and bounced off the middle rope and hit a moonsault. He then went to the top rope and hit the Five Star Frog Splash. 1..2..3.

RVD celebrated as he got a mic and said that he was coming to RAW with the rest of the ECW crew next week, and that he was going to Orton and that he was going to kick his ass all over the dam show. This allowed time for Booker to recover, and out of no-where, Booker low-blowed RVD from behind and then hit the Scissors Kick on the recovering Rob. The show ended with Styles saying ''Oh My Gooooooooooooood! What the hell happened!'' and Booker standing over RVD.

Internet News

The Battleground.com

As confirmed late last week by WWE, Lance Storm and Joe Gertner have both returned to the WWE from OVW. They have both gone to the full ECW roster, where they will, at the moment, both be heels. There were plans to make a tag team out of the two but this plan was soon scrapped due to their somewhat different wrestling styles. CM Punk today has also returned from OVW and will also be on the ECW roster, but he will be returning as a face.

The latest WWE TV Ratings and Attendances are in for the last week.

TV Ratings:

Smackdown!: 5.66 (-0.19)

RAW: 6.90 (+0.06)

ECW: 3.62 (+0.22)

Attendances:

Smackdown!: 7,530 (+29)

RAW: 8,012 (+466)

ECW: 8,015 (+493)

It is clear to see that ECW had grown the most in the last week, with Monday Night RAW just behind. Friday Night Smackdown! however, despite getting better ratings than ECW, still needs to improve.

wrestlingheat.com

In another mix up to the roster, WWE Chairmen Burngun has released more superstars to try and cut down the size of the roster whilst still trying to leave in the best and most suitable superstars. The following have been released, and again, World Wrestling Entertainment wish them the best in their future plans:

The Great Khali

The Boogeyman

Johnny Parisi

And talking of the roster, WWE have said that they are interested in signing old stars which in Vince's time were fired or released, but now they want back. The early favourites are Christian and Chris Jericho, but Jeff Hardy, The Dudley Boyz and The Rock are also rumoured to be returning to World Wrestling Entertainment in the upcoming months.

Ashley Massaro has been taken off the Smackdown! roster and been put in OVW. This action has been taken to apparently improve her wrestling skills as she is not doing much on SD! at the current moment. Plans are for her to maybe wrestle for the Women's Championship. Torrie Wilson on the other hand, has come back from OVW, but it has been said that her wrestling skills are still rusty, and to the shock of some fans, she may be released by the end of the month by the WWE.

Tag Teams from the past are to be returning according to some websites linked to the WWE. MNM are supposedly returning, as well as Cade and Murdoch and The Basham Brothers. This is supposedly being decided as the Tag Team division at the moment is not living up to it's potential.

wwefanatics.com

Survivor Series is the next Pay Per View and news about it has been flying all over the internet. It is almost guaranteed that Nitro will accept Flair's challenge to a Submission match, and also that Batista vs. Mark Henry is going to be confirmed next week on Friday Night Smackdown!. It is being said that after the match at Survivor Series, WWE will release Henry, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Rob Van Dam is apparently going to lose both his WWE and ECW Championships by the end of December according to some recourses. This action has apparently been taken because some fans were bored or RVD, and also, the chairmen Burngun has felt that Rob Van Dam was not a suitable wrestler to carry both belts at the same time.

Shelton Benjamin push on the cards? It is being said that the Intercontinental Champion will be receiving abit of a push sometime in the next few months. Weather this means he will wrestle for the WWE Championship or maybe just be given a general push is yet to be seen.

Smackdown!-17th November 2006

Segment 1:

The Smackdown Pyros and music go off as J.B.L and Michael Cole introduce the viewers to another week of Smackdown! The music dies and on the screen a tribute video of Eddie Guerrero plays on the titantron for Eddie's death one year on.

After the video, Cole and J.B.L talk abit about Eddie, before getting down to the job in hand of Smackdown! tonight. They start to talk about the WWE vs. ECW match taking place at Survivor Series, but they are interrupted by Rey Mysterio's music. The World Heavyweight Champion comes out doing his classic jump up 8 feet into the air through sparkling fireworks entrance, before getting into the ring. The crowd pop as he gets a mic to start talking. He starts off by saying how that tonight he faces a mystery opponent again and that it doesn't matter who it is, they will be another victim of the 6-1-9. He then says that during the last few weeks, WWE and ECW stars have been fighting, and that he wants to defend the company he works for by competing in the match at Survivor Series.

Coming to Get it on!

At that moment, Smackdown! General Manager Theodore Long comes out and stands on the top of the aisle. The crowd pop a little but they pretty much knew that Long was coming out, it was predictable. Anyway, Long starts speaking into the mic and says that he has a couple of announcements to make. He firstly says that Mysterio has his wish of defending WWE and that at Survivor Series, Rey Mysterio will also be in the WWE team for the WWE vs. ECW match. This gets a cheer from the crowd, as Rey looks very pleased. Long then says that he has found Mysterio's opponent for tonight, and that man is........ECW's own Sabu! Cole, Rey and most of the crowd look shocked as Long walks off. What the hell is Sabu doing on Smackdown?!

Chris Benoit vs. Mark Henry

As usual, Henry was the favourite as his weight and strength would be an issue for Benoit. The wolverine couldn't knock Henry down and was picked up and thrown over the top rope to the outside easy as you like by Henry who smiled to himself. Henry continued to use the strength to his advantage, as he shoved Benoit around and barely let him attack. Benoit managed to somehow hit a German Suplex though, and hit the diving headbutt from the top rope. But Henry counted the Crossface and hit the world's strongest slam. He then went to the outside and grabbed a mic and said ''Batista, this will be you at Survivor Series!'' before grabbing a chair from the outside, and waited for Benoit to get up. The ref grabbed the chair off him, but whilst he was distracted, down the ramp came Batista! Batista spinebustered Henry and put Benoit over Henry. The ref counted, 1..2..3!

Gregory Helms © vs. Tajiri

Tajiri's debut on Smackdown! didn't go quite as planned for Japanese Buzzsaw. He had alot of momentum going, and hit various kicks and punches to Helms who at many times in the match seemed to be worn out and on the ropes, but Helms managed to pull out the victory when he shoved Tajiri into an exposed turnbuckle which the ref hadn't seen Helms undo, before rolling up Tajiri. If that wasn't enough, he used the ropes for leverage.

Helms had his arms raised by the refs as Tajiri lay on the canvas. But out of no-where, Super Crazy came down the ring and climbed the turnbuckle. Helms hadn't seen him (despite the fact that the crowd were cheering at Crazy) and Crazy flew and hit Helms with an amazing hurricanrana! He then delivered a moonsault to the Cruiserweight Champ before leaving the ring.

The suddenly out of no-where, Booker T charges in and grabs Sabu, and slams him into the concrete wall. Randy Orton then comes into the picture and picks Sabu up, and delivered a DDT on the floor. The two stand over him, as Sabu bleeds.

United States Number One Contendership match

Ken Kennedy vs. Matt Hardy

Kennedy and Hardy fought to determine who would face Lashley at Survivor Series for the United States Championship. Hardy used the crowd to get the momentum going early on, but a poke to the eye swinged the momentum to Kennedy. Kennedy went for the Green Day Plunge but Hardy pushed him off the top rope and went for the leg drop but Kennedy rolled out of the way. Kennedy then proceeded to the go the top rope, but Hardy got up and went to the top rope as well. Hardy went a superplex, but Kennedy blocked and put Hardy onto his shoulders. Green Day Plunge! He covered, 1, 2, 3 and won the match and the right to face Lashley at Survivor Series for the U.S Title.

The camera goes backstage for the third time tonight and we see Theodore Long in the GM office. The door to his office suddenly bursts open, as we see Gregory Helms. He says to Long what the hell he is going to do to Super Crazy, after he was assaulted out there in the ring. He demands that Crazy gets fired or suspended. Long replies immediately and says that Crazy is not getting fired, and that Helms needs to calm down. Long says that the way Helms cheated to the win the match was cheating. He then says that he will get his chance to get revenge on Super Crazy at Survivor Series, and that at the PPV, it will be Gregory Helms vs.........Super Crazy. Helms looks pleased, but Long isn't finished yet.......vs. Psicosis......Helms looks shocked.....vs. Tajiri for the Cruiserweight Championship! Long then orders Helms out of his office. Helms tries arguing with Long but it's no use, as Helms leaves before guards come to force him out.

Batista vs. William Regal

Batista easily controls most of the match, as yet again on Smackdown! he dominates his match. Regal gets a few shots in during the match which keeps Batista down for a little while, but in the end, Batista won as he hit a huge Spinebuster before delivering a Batista Bomb to Regal to get the three count. The ref raises Batista's hand, but immediately, Henry walks, well, jogs, down to the ring. He has a chair and swings at Batista, but Batista ducks and grabs the chair off Henry, before flooring Henry with it! Henry is down, as Batista taunts Henry before celebrating to the fans and walking up the aisle.

Segment 5:

The medal music plays over the PA as Kurt Angle comes out from the back and into the ring where there are two chair, a table and various other accessories. Even though he is on ECW, Angle still gets huge cheers from the crowd. He gets a mic and starts talking. He says that tonight, in this ring, he will be hosting the first ever ''The New Angle'' host show. He gets down to business quickly and says that tonight, his guest is none other than Smackdown!'s Booker T! Booker T comes down the ramp and gets into the ring, before the two sit down. The crowd and the commentary team don't like where this is going. The two start talking, Kurt asks why he has had a thing against ECW these past few weeks, and also why he's been such a jackass. This gets Booker angry, quickly, and as the interview goes on, he gets madder and madder, before he unleashes his rage and takes down Angle. The two brawl around the ring, as guards comes down to separate the two. Kurt tries getting back into the ring to attack Booker, and gets a shot in, but guards pull him off him and take him to the back.

Segment 6:

The two walk towards the car park, presumably ready to leave the arena, but are attacked from behind by a couple of masked men. After they deliver a beating to the Tag Champions, the two unmask themselves, to reveal that the two are The Basham Brothers! What the hell! The two kick London and Kendrick down again before walking off.

Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu

In this non title match up, Mysterio used his skill to get the advantage over Sabu as he failed to deal with Rey's speed and agility. Sabu managed to get Mysterio cornered and then sent him over the top, but Mysterio sent Sabu into the barricade before putting him back into the ring for a 2 count. Mysterio sent Sabu onto the second rope and hit the 6-1-9, but when he went to drop the dime, Sabu moves out of the way. Sabu used this to attack Mysterio, but when trying to deliver a DDT, Rey tried to reverse, and ended up pushing Sabu into the ref. The two were down, and predictably when the ref is down, interference occurred. ECW's Big Show came through the crowd, and chokeslammed poor Rey in the middle of the ring, before reviving the ref and putting Sabu over Rey to get the three count.

After the match, Show got back into the ring and tried to deliver another chokeslam, but Show was spun round by someone. RKO! Orton had just delivered an RKO to Show, who was down on the canvas. Smackdown! ended with Orton walking up the ramp with a arrogant and cocky smile on his face.

RAW-20th November 2006

Segment 1:

J.R and The King introduce the fans to RAW as the pyros as usual go off. The RAW music dies, and there is a silence until.....

''Time To Play The Game!''

The Game, Triple H comes out and walks down the aisle to huge pops from the crowd cheering him. He does his classic water spitting entrance, before climbing turnbuckle and showing off his marvellous pecks to the women in the crowd. He gets a mic and immediately starts to talk about what happened last Monday Night on RAW. How he returned, how he beat Edge's ass, and how after the match he was brutally attacked by the coward. He says that he wants Edge to come out to the ring, right here, right now, so he can kick his ass properly, and teach him a lesson he will never forget. He stops talking to wait for Edge to come out....

''You Think You Know Me!''

Predictably, Edge comes out through the curtain and with a mic in one hand as he is met by boo's from the crowd. He doesn't bother walking to the ring, and instead stands at the top of the ramp, well away from Triple H. He starts to talk, and states that last week, Triple H was lucky to get the win, and that he isn't going down to the ring, as he knows that he will get cheap shotted, and that if he wants a fight, it has to be a proper fight. Triple H cuts him off as the end of his sentence and proposes a match right here, right now! The crowd cheer as this prospect, but Edge isn't about to let this happens, and says that he has a better idea. He says that he challenges Triple H to a match at Survivor Series to see who the better man is. Triple H accepts instantly, and says that he'll be glad to kick Edge's ass. Edge and Triple H stare at each other for a while, until Edge walks off through the curtain.

Ric Flair and Charlie Haas vs. Johnny Nitro and Shelton Benjamin

An even tag team match to start off wrestling action on RAW this week. Flair enjoys plenty of offence early on as he chops away at Nitro and Benjamin, but this is stopped mid way through the match when Nitro knee's him in his injured back. Flair struggles to tag in Haas, and Haas isn't properly ready and gets beaten down by Benjamin. Benjamin and Nitro double team Haas whilst Flair is still recovering, and beat down on him with quick and effective double teams. Nitro tags in Benjamin, but instead of helping Benjamin beat up Haas, goes for Flair on the outside. Flair has recovered and instantly chops away at Nitro, whilst in the ring, Benjamin goes for a splash in the corner, but Haas moves. Haas trips Benjamin and locks in the Haas of Pain! Benjamin has no option but to tap. Flair disposes of Nitro as Flair and Haas walk up the ramp victorious just 6 days before Survivor Series.

Orton ends by saying that tonight, he will show the whole world why he is the WWE captain, by hitting the RKO on RVD and Kurt Angle and getting the win for his team, just like how it will be at Survivor Series!

Vince stops him and he says that one, Nitro has to calm down or he won't ever have a match with Flair. And two, that he can have his match with Flair. He reaches for a TV Remote on his desk and starts playing a video on his TV. It is a video of Flair last week challenging Nitro for a match at Survivor Series in an Submission match. He stops it and says that at Survivor Series, it WILL be Ric Flair vs. Johnny Nitro in a Submission match, and if Nitro has a problem with that then he will gladly be Flair's personal assistant for the next month. A surprisingly great match between these two men, as the action goes back and forth. He went for the pin but somehow Edge kicked out at 2. Edge uses this to get back into the match as he plants Carlito over and over again. He hit the scoop slam and goes to the corner to prepare for a Spear, but Carlito moves out of the way again and Edge plants the ref! Darn ref, get out of the way! Edge hits the impaller on Carlito again, and Edge looks at the ref who's still on the canvas motionless. He turns around, but is met by a pedigree from Triple H! Kurt Angle and Rob Van Dam vs. Booker T and Randy Orton

Booker and Orton instantly cheap shotted the two ECW stars, as they built early momentum, as they double teamed Angle to try and isolate him from his partner. Booker hit the Book End but Angle kicked out at 2. This was the turning point as Angle built momentum and after flooring Booker, tagged in a fresh RVD. He instantly quickened the pace as he hit a spinning kick on Orton, and then hit the rolling thunder on Booker. After a while, all four men are in the ring brawling, as the ref looses control. Angle undo's his straps and Angle Slams Booker, which sends Booker rolling to the outside. But Angle is spun around, RKO! But it's not over yet, as RVD hits a missile dropkick from the top rope, and then goes tot the opposite top rope and hits the Five Star Frog Splash on Orton, and gets the three count!

After the bell rings, RVD celebrates as the other three men are down and out. But it's not finished, suddenly Big Show's music hits, and he comes down. The crowd are bamboozled, what the hell is going on? RVD looks shocked, as Show comes into the ring towering over him. But Show isn't going for him, he picks up Orton and proceeds to chokeslam him! He then announces that he will be the last man in ECW's team for the Survivor Series match. Show then proceeds to grab a chair from the outside and prepares to hit Booker with it. But he doesn't get the chance, as he is hit from behind by a masked man. It's Rey Mysterio! Show's face is slammed into the chair, and Mysterio proceeds to trip RVD and hit the 6-1-9. ECW-21st November 2006

Segment 1:

The show opens with the usual pyro's and music, as Tazz and Styles on commentary introduce everyone to the show. The soon start talking about the whole WWE vs. ECW Survivor Series matcyh, but they are cut off when Rob Van Dam's music plays. The crowd pop as the WWE and ECW Champion comes down to the ring with a confident yet angry look on his face. He gets a mic, and after the usual ''RVD, RVD!'' chants end, he starts talking about how he is sick of WWE coming into ECW's business, and thinking that they are the better show. He then says that he wants Randy Orton right here, right now, as he knows Orton is somewhere in the back, and that if he doesn't come out, RVD will come back there to look for him and kick his ass.

''Hey, Nothing You Can Say!''

As predicted, Orton comes out to huge boo's from the crowd, and he gets slowly into the ring with his usual cocky grin. He grabs a mic from one of the workers by the side of the ring and starts talking about how he will show RVD not only that he is the greatest wrestler in the business, he will also show him that WWE is out of ECW's league and that at Survivor Series, he will defeat ECW with ease, before taking RVD's WWE Championship from him. He continues to diss RVD, and Rob eventually has enough of it, and takes down Orton before brawling. The fight goes into the crowd, before being eventually broken up by guards.

Chuck Palumbo vs. The Sandman

A fairly easy match for The Sandman. He gets most of the offence in and shows Palumbo no mercy as he hits him over and over again. Whilst the ref's back is turned he uses his classic kendo stick to whack Palumbo in with. Little Guido of the F.B.I tries to get involved but he accidentally hits Palumbo, before getting chucked out of the ring by Sandman. Sandman rolls up Palumbo and gets the three count.

Backstage, we see Kurt Angle with a microphone by himself. He starts to diss each of the WWE team which will take place at Survivor Series. Both of the dissing though goes to Booker T, the man he faces tonight. He ends by saying that tonight, he will unleash his anger on Booker and break his damn Ankle with his Ankle Lock!

CM Punk vs. Lance Storm

A good match between these two debutants. Storm gets the early offence as he wears down Punk with alot of good moves to keep him down, but Punk fights back and gets the crowd going as he gains momentum over Storm. He hits a couple of clotheslines to get full momentum, before locking in the Anaconda Vice. Storm has no choice but to tap out, as Punk wins his first match on ECW.

Segment 3:

For the second time of the night, the camera is backstage. We see Little Guido looking very angry with himself in his locker room, when Trinity opens the door and walks in. She doesn't show sympathy to Little Guido, and after a little talk, proceeds to slap him! Trinity then calms down abit and whispers into Little Guido's a plan. Guido's gives a little grin, as the camera fails to hear the plan and eventually fades out.

A good Main Event between these two icons. Angle used submission to wear down Booker early on to try and stop him from getting any momentum. But Booker fought back and after a few moves, went for the Book End but Angle reversed into a roll up but he only got a 2 count. Angle went for the Ankle Lock but Booker reversed and sent Angle to the ropes, before clotheslining him over them. On the outside, Booker sent Angle into the steel steps before sending him back into the ring where he worked on Angle's body and neck. Booker gained momentum and went to finish the match with the Scissors Kick, and kicked Angle in the gut and went to the ropes. But Angle surprised him and Angle Slammed him just as he was about to hit him with the kick. The two men got up, and surprise, surprise, the referee got knocked out when Booker reversed the Angle Slam and arm dragged Angle into the ref. Booker hit the Book End but the ref was out so couldn't pin him. He grabbed a chair from the outside and prepared to hit Angle. But he ducked and Angle Slammed Booker again! Suddenly, Angle was turned around, RKO! Orton RKO'd Angle and put Booker over him. The referee got up and counted the three. Orton had screwed ECW yet again!
