I'm not sure when it was released, but the Earthbound sequel is out in Japan! I played a bit of it, and despite not understanding what's going on, it still seems awesome. I can't wait for the English translation!

I think playing a sequel without any major reocurring characters would just make me more nostalgic for the original than anything else. I'll still probably play it though.
