Your personal dream team...

I'm sure this topic's come up before, but it's been a while.

For any sport you'd like, give your dream team of announcers to call it...and yes, being biased towards hometown guys is okay.

Mine...

For baseball, I would have Dan Shulman and Alan Ashby working together...I don't think anyone will disagree when I say Shulman is one of the best baseball play-by-play guys there is, and he's even better when he's following just one team over the course of a season (he did Blue Jays games for about eight years before moving to ESPN). I haven't heard much of Ashby yet, but I think he's going to be possibly the best Jays' analyst ever.

Hockey would be Jim Hughson doing the play-by-play (if only because I keep expecting him to bust out some EA Sports lines) alongside Pierre McGuire (who will probably be the top analyst in the USA in five years).

CFL Football, Chris Cuthbert (very versatile play-by-play guy, but I like him best on football) with Jock Climie (who TSN really should try putting in the booth).

And the curling dream team of Vic Rauter, Ray Turnbull, and Linda Moore already exists. :shifty:

Don't know enough about NFL/NBA/soccer/etc. to put together dream teams for them.

So you guys?

Personally, I almost pay no attention to sports announcers. They often add nothing to the game, point out obvious things and when they are bias towards one side... ugh.
