Having a problem with Def jam Fight For NY

I got in the mail a few days ago and have been playing it but I've just come across a glitch that basically freezes the game. I'm fighting House at the Syn Energy Power Plant. When either of us throws each other to the right side fence area. the game freezes and makes a loud ass buzzing sound. I've tried the fight several times and the harder I try not getting caught on the right side fence , it happens sooner or later and it freezes.

I've checked the disc and it's spotless and I cleaned the ps2 as well

just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem

I've never heard of that happening. I love that area and play it frequently. Only problem I've ever had is if four guys are going at it, and far apart, there's slight slow down.

It sounds like the disc you have is glitched. Would you be able to return it and get another copy?

Yeah I've noticed the slow down . The freezing is happening at random times now but on the same stage. I was able to beat HOuse fairly easy , just kept him to the left part of the stage.. Beat story mode with my first character using Wrestling + Kickboxing + streetfighting. he's a fucking hoss. Started a new guy using Kickboxing + Streetfighting + Martial Arts. I really messed up giving him martial arts now his punches are slower and It's harder to get KO's. I love the speed and kicking capabilites now.

All I have to do is get reversing grapples down. I'm about 50/50 now on reversing them gonna have to keep practicing.

I need to dig up that list of hidden fighting styles. I remember seeing it somewhere online but can't remember where.
