hello everyone I have a question about the 360 warranty. I bought my 360 2 days ago and I know that MS upped the warranty to 3 years but what I need to know is there anything I need to fill out for the warranty. There wasn't any warranty card with it so I was wondering if there is anything online I have to fill out or do I just keep the receipt just in case.

As far as I know, all you have to do is call them when it breaks, give them the serial number, and that's it. At least that's what I did when I found out they extended the warranty. Didn't need a receipt, but I would keep that anyway just in case.

In short, you don't have to worry about filling anything out, just call them and give them your serial number when it breaks.

Ok guys I have one more question what's the difference between the Xbox 360 warranty and the Xbox 360 service contract? I got something with my 360 that says it's a service contract and that it would cost me $59.90 for 2 years. what's the deal with that?

The service contract itself is this:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemus...dedwarranty.htm

I'm not sure if you've got that along with the 3-year warranty or if what you have IS the 3-year warranty. Call them and ask just to be sure you aren't going to find a surprise $60 charge 2 years from now if they auto-renew.

Then they probably just decided to give you the one-year warranty they already had to edit it to and the two year contract for free to add up to three years. I bet I've got the same thing, but I'm not calling them until something happens. I spent long enough on the phone with their customer service reps (all American, however; it's always helpful to know what time it is in India, and call when it's about 2am their time. More likely to get a good rep, regardless of what company you're calling)
