Clive Barker's Midnight Meat Train

I just saw the trailer for this on DreadCentral.com, probably a couple weeks after I read the story in his Books of Blood collection. Just amazing. While they've changed some things, it looks like it's going to stay fairly true to the images and ideas that Barker used originally.

Release date is May. Anyone else excited for this new film? After the success of The Mist, which I still haven't seen, I'm a little more excited about the idea of horror fictions becoming film. It used to be scary to watch your favorite stories get butchered, no pun intended... but I seem to have a renewed faith in the new breed of horror directors.

I read the books of blood years ago, but that title doesn't sound familiar at all.

That was actually my favorite story in the Books of Blood. I read that they were making a movie about it 2 or 3 years ago. I actually forgot about it until last week when I found my book again.

I'm going to have to check out the trailer later tonight.
