Snoop Dogg - Ego Trippin'

Asuka's Gonna Kill You

Recommended Posts

Has anybody heard it?

It was rumoured to be just Snoop throughout the entire album with nobody else on it, didn't turn out that way. I liked Blue Carpet Treatment, but this album is much better. Certainly one of two songs I never expected to see on the album, one being 'My Medicine'. Although it's not usual Snoop and while it appeals as a song the majority shouldn't like, I for some reason really like it.

Stand out songs for me would have to be 'Neva Have 2 Worry', 'Been Around The World' and 'Cant Say Goodbye' (Which for some reason sounds a hell of a lot like 'Changes' in a way). Really good album overall, still the godfather of Rap.

Really? I liked Blue Carpet Treatment much more than Ego Trippin'. I didn't like nearly as many songs on Ego Trippin' as I did on BCT.

Yeah well. It was much better than I thought it would be, as I enjoyed almost every song with "Life of da Party" being the biggest exception. "Why Did You Leave Me", "Neva Have 2 Worry", "Can't Say Goodbye", "My Medicine", "Deez Hollywood Nights" and so many others were high points. In my opinion, the album definitely doesn't suffer at all from Dr. Dre's absence.
