Wedding Songs

First off, Forky, congrats, you no-chattin', no-feedbackin' sonovagun. :shifty: Now, onto the question...bear in mind, these may not be as "current" as you're looking for.

My wife came down the aisle to Corinne Bailey Rae's "Like a Star."

And she was ready to let me come down the aisle to "King of Kings" by Motorhead. But I didn't have the balls to play that song in front of my Bible-thumping grandmother. <_<

Some of the others I put on the wedding soundtrack album (yes, we had a soundtrack album, cuz that's just how we roll):

"Something So Strong" by Crowded House

"Got to Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye

"Pieces of Me" by Ashlee Simpson

"Back at One" by Brian McKnight

"You are the One" by Lionel Richie

"Matrimony: Maybe You" by Maxwell

"The Holy River," "Courtin' Time," "Call My Name," and "Forever In My Life" by Prince

"Ice Cream" by Sarah McLachlan

"Beautiful in My Eyes" by Joshua Kadison

"Masterpiece" by Atlantic Starr

"As" (either Stevie Wonder's original or the George Michael/Mary J. Blige cover would work)

"It's Been Said" by Terence Trent D'Arby

And anyone who plays "I Will Always Love You" at a wedding should be shot. Pay ANY attention to the lyrics and you can easily tell it's a fucking breakup song.

Hope all that helped...and may yer wife be as cool as mine.

It would be worth your while to purchase a few cheap Sinatra CDs. All the Way was our first dance song, which worked out well. You can also throw in My Way for fun. We thought about playing that or The Clash's Should I Stay or Should I Go as a joke, but didn't for some reason.
