Your Clubs Pre Season Friendlies

Liverpool 5 - 1 Celtic

Liverpool 0 - 1 Porto

Liverpool 2 - 1 Roma

Good enough results, and Cisse has got himself a few goals, so it's been pretty pleasing. Hopefully, Benitez keps us playing more attacking football when the real games come round.

SHEFFIELD UNITED: Its hard to judge. All we ever play in pre-season is games against Cornish non-league sides, and out traditional game against Sheffield FC (which we won 3-1) - is doing well in those actually doing much at all.............lol

The only team of note we have played is against Tottenham, and won 2-1, so thats pleasing :)

Can't find our results anywhere.....................

Stevenage 3 - 0 Boston

Blkoody good performance, although some would say "It's a friendly so it doesn't matter" I'd disagree.  Boston were clearly up for this as were Boro' baring in mind it was the dress rehersal for the leagues season and we took the piss out of them.  Gazza didn't play which might be why Boston weren't very creative but still, they were outclassed.

18 year old George Boyd is definately going to be a big star with the right development, simply amazing stuff.  Even though the class was lower you could here Boston fans proclaiming similarities with a certain young Portuguese player...

Hehe, Boston United are my local team. Gazza > *

CHELSEA 3 - 0 REAL ZARAGOZA

Didier Drogba

Gabriel Milito (og)

Scott Parker

And of course several standing ovations for the Man of the Hour, GIANFRANCO ZOLA, including a really prolonged one when he did his lap of honour after the match. He almost scored himself once or twice but was unlucky each time. You should have heard how insane the crowd went when he stood up to take a free kick on the edge of the penalty area!

Many other people of distinction in attendence - Gustavo Poyet and Dan Petrescu had flown in specially for the day from Uruguay and Romania respectively. Dennis Wise, Kevin Hitchcock were there too, as well as many others who were supposedly hanging around in the back somewhere - such as Gianluca Vialli, Roberto Di Matteo, etc.

The ground was probably about 98% full I reckon. Everywhere was packed except for a few bits and pieces of the East Stand Middle level. They had a couple of cool highlight videos of Zola that they played on the video screens, set to music like "Nobody does it better" and so on.

All in all, it was awesome. Just awesome. :D
