Best in the Midwest Night 2 - Part 3

Once the ringside area is cleared, a new referee gets in the ring for the IWA Midsouth Heavyweight Title match. "You've got the Touch" by Stan Bush hits and a "HUSS" chant breaks out around the arena. Jimmy Jacobs barges out through the doors into the Centralia Recreation Complex. Jimmy of course has his regular fury boots and tonight is sporting a pair of leopard skin trunks (Why are they referred to as a pair? You don't wear a pair of t-shirt. But you wear a pair of pants. Hmm...English, such an obscure language). Jacobs is without Becky Bayless tonight, as she's nursing the injuries that were inflicted by Alex Shelley last night. Jacobs looks to be particularly unstable tonight, even more than usual. The assault on Becky last night, must have refuelled his hatred for Alex Shelley. Jacobs storms down to the ring like a 300 lbs monster but is taken out with a forearm from behind, it's "The Technical Messiah" Alex Shelley! Shelley has baggy navy shorts on with red and white triangles on each side. Shelley stomps away on Jacobs on the floor before lifting him off the ground by the hair before dropping him back to the wooden floor! Shelley begins to taunt but instead of boos gets cheers? No, the cheers aren't for Shelley, they're for Petey Williams. Williams is standing behind Shelley with the IWAMS Heavyweight Title around his waist. Shelley shows no sign of turning around, so Williams taps him on the shoulder. Shelley turns around and gets a forearm right to the face. Williams pulls the title belt from around his waist and lays it on the floor. He then throws a couple more punches to the face of Shelley before decking him with a forearm.

Williams drags Shelley over to where the fans are seated and tells them to move. Petey looks to whip Shelley into the chairs but Shelley reverses and sends Williams crashing through the steel. Petey Williams is left lying in a pile of steel chairs with the crowd standing around him. Shelley turns around and gets a right hand from Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs looks for a short arm clothesline but Shelley ducks it. Shelley scoops up Jacobs and snaps him down to the solid wooden flooring with a body slam. Jacobs gives off a scream of pain as Shelley stands over him with a smile on his lips. Shelley picks up the IWAMS Heavyweight Title and walks over to the rising Petey Williams. Williams turns and is knocked out cold with a vicious belt shot, at the hands of Alex Shelley. Shelley stands basking in the boos from the crowd with the title belt raised above his head. As Shelley stands celebrating, Jacobs is back to his feet. He starts to break into a "HUSS" chant and soon gets the crowd along with him. Upon hearing this, Shelley turns back to his long time rival, just in time to catch a Bezerker Boot right between the eyes. The crowd go absolutely wild, as does Jacobs, who starts to jump up and down screaming. Jacobs though suffers the fate of Alex Shelley and is distracted from his other opponent. This allows Williams to hit Jacobs with a stiff kick right across the back. Petey pulls Jacobs down to the ring by his hair before rolling him into the ring. Petey goes back to the entrance doors and grabs his title belt and then hands it to the referee. Petey rolls into the ring, and with 2 competitors being ready to start, the referee calls for the bell. Unlike the match earlier tonight, this match only 1 fall to determine the winner, Petey Williams does not have to be involved in the decision in order to lose his belt.

IWAMS Heavyweight Title Match

Alex Shelley vs Jimmy Jacobs vs Petey Williams ©

It's taken around five minutes or so for the match to even get underway. Jacobs and Petey go for a tie-up, Williams fakes with a go behind and pulls up the arm of Jacobs in a hammerlock. Petey wrenches up the arm of Jacobs, Jacobs though reaches behind with his free arm and brings Williams to the mat with a headlock takedown. Petey is quick to escape the side headlock and him and Jacobs lock up quickly. Jacobs goes into "big man mode" and swings a giant knee into the gut of Petey Williams. Alex Shelley slides into the ring as Jacobs sends Williams towards the turnbuckle. Petey jumps onto the middle rope before turning back landing on his feet only to have them swiped away from under him by Alex Shelley. Petey snaps onto his back and then up into a seated position where he gets a soccer kick to the face from Shelley. A great smooth motion from Shelley, in a split second Petey has been taken out the picture (for a short while). Jacobs makes a run for Shelley, Shelley though grabs the arm of the oncoming Jacobs and pulls him to the mat. It looks like a fujiwara armbar, no. Shelley instead rolls behind Jacobs and cinches in a hammerlock, obviously to wear down his long time adversary. Shelley spins around on top of Jacobs, mocking him. This enrages the "HUSSman" who elbows Shelley in the face and escapes his clutches. Jacobs with some basic right hands. Open fist from Jacobs that catches Shelley by surprise knocking him up against the turnbuckle. Jacobs starts to kick away at Shelley in the corner. This match has started well, and the crowd already seem into it, however there's very little build up and has went straight out into hard offence. Jacobs pulls Shelley out from the corner grasping his brown hair. Jacobs takes Shelley over with a snapmare and follows it with a basement dropkick right to the small of his back. Jacobs gets up and is met with a running forearm from the Champion. Petey follows it quickly with a snap suplex before locking in a grounded sleeper on Jimmy Jacobs, to wear him down.

Jacobs tries to escape, but eventually it Alex Shelley who comes to his aid by stamping on the head of Petey Williams. Shelley pulls the arm of Petey up behind him, clasping in the hammerlock. Petey with a go behind and he wraps his arms around Shelley with a waistlock. Petey pushes Shelley towards the ropes and back with a rolling prawn hold, 1... Bezerker Boot!!!!!! Jacobs jumps onto the decked Petey Williams. Could this be a new champion? 1...2... Williams gets his shoulder up. Jacobs turns behind and is taken to the mat with an armdrag from Shelley. Shelley follows this up with a second armdrag this time on Petey Williams. Both Jacobs and Petey are back up. Shelley takes them both down at the same time with a double Japanese armdrag. Shelley grabs the hand of Jimmy Jacobs and clutches in a wristlock. He pulls Jacobs to his feet and twists around his arm. Petey Williams joins in the offence on Jimmy Jacobs by wrenching away at his other arm. Petey and Shelley both twist the arms of Jacobs and then start up with some knees and kicks to Jacobs. Eventually they relinquish their strikes. Jacobs takes the opportunity and stamps on both of their feet. However he can't escape their clutches and they twist his arms again before taking him to the mat from behind with a double Russian legsweep. Both men roll over in one smooth motion and pull Jimmy to his feet where they take him straight back over with a double hiptoss. Jacobs arms are spread eagled allowing Shelley and Williams to jump down with a double kneedrop on his arms. Jacobs rolls around the mat screaming in agony, trying to clutch both arms to ease the pain, which he is having great difficulty doing.

Petey blasts Shelley in the face with a forearm and continues the assault with some punches. Shelley manages to block a right hand and wraps his arm around the head of Petey, Shellshock! Petey reverses and after a go behind pushes Shelley off the ropes. Shelley comes back and Petey throws him over his shoulder with a back body drop. As Shelley struggles to his feet Petey scoops him up. He tucks Shelley legs under his armpits and drives him headfirst to the mat with a tucked up Tombstone! 1...2... Jacobs breaks the pin. Jacobs locks Petey in a side headlock, again going in big man mode. Jacobs slams Petey's face down onto his knee. Before running forward and dropping him to the canvas with a bulldog. Jacobs double stomps on the chest of Petey Williams and turn in time to see Alex Shelley swing a clothesline at him. Jacobs manages to duck and he hits a right hand blow to Shelley's gut. Jacobs with a neckbreaker, 1...2... Shelley kicks out. Petey grabs the wrist of Jacobs from behind. Petey continues to wear away at Jacobs' arms. Shelley struggles to his feet and falls back against the turnbuckle. Jacobs sees this could play to his advantage. He swings his legs up and kicks Shelley in the face, this gives him the momentum to take Petey off his feet with a swinging armdrag. Shelley and Petey are groggy as they walk towards each other, Jacobs grabs them both from the middle of slams their heads together. This keeps them in this groggy state. Petey falls back against the turnbuckle. Jacobs darts up the vertical body of Petey Williams and flips backwards with a moonsault on the standing Alex Shelley.

The crowd erupt into applause, it might not be the technical match many expected, but the spots so far have been great. And something tells me the best is yet to come. Jacobs jumps to his feet and darts back towards Petey in the corner. He jumps headfirst right into the chest of the IWA Heavyweight Champion. Petey collapses in the corner, allowing for Jacobs to quickly gather his bearings and dart off the ropes, facewash from Jacobs. Petey struggles out of the corner as Jacobs starts to "Huss Up" drawing a large "HUSS" chant from the again excited crowd (Who had become to be worn out). Jacobs grabs the arms of Petey and pulls him to his feet. Jacobs turns away from Petey still hooking his arms. Jacobs jumps into the air and drives Petey right back to the ring canvas with reverse Pedigree. Jacobs rolls Petey over on his back before climbing up the turnbuckle. The crowd go wild, they know what's coming up (Cannonball Senton). OH MY GOD! Jacobs is pushed from the top rope to the arena floor. Holy shit! Alex Shelley has left Jacobs in a crumpled heap on the floor. Shelley hooks the leg of the downed Petey Williams, 1...2... the champion kicks out.

Shelley pulls Williams to his feet and whips him into the turnbuckle. Shelley charges at Williams but the Canadian swings a foot up catching Shelley in the face. Petey reacts quickly to capitalise as he pushes himself onto the middle rope before jumping down and hitting a rana on the stunned Alex Shelley. Petey kicks Shelley and looks to follow it up with the Canadian Destroyer! Shelley reverses and back body drops Petey only for the champion to land on his feet behind him. Petey swipes his leg backwards and trips Shelley up. Petey continues to work away at the legs of Shelley, preparing him for a sharpshooter later in the match. However Petey appears to get carried away and after a dragon screw that takes Shelley on his back he attempts an early sharpshooter. Shelley reverses and trips Petey before locking in an STF. Shelley delivers some blows to Petey's neck and upper back before releasing the hook on Petey's legs and switching it into a Border City Stretch! Shelley keeps on pulling away at the neck of Petey Williams. We may have a new IWA champion! Jacobs breaks the submission with a springboard double stomp (Wasn't clean in execution as he slips) to the head of Shelley.

Jacobs grabs the rising Alex Shelley and runs up the turnbuckle, Contra Code! Shelley reveres and slams Jacobs onto the top rope, looking out of the ring. Shelley climbs to the middle rope and grabs Jacobs for a back suplex from the top. Petey Williams reaches his feet and too climbs to the middle rope, he grabs Shelley in a Canadian legsweep. All three men fall back into the ring. Jacobs reaches over the top and grabs the head of Petey in midair nailing a variation of a Contra Code, so all three guys crash to the canvas and are left out cold! The crowd break into a spontaneous "Holy shit" chant, as the referee looks around unsure about what to do. Should he start a 10 count or not? Jimmy Jacobs looks the worst off from the fall as he collapsed right on the back of his neck. Petey is first to his feet, he tries to pull Jacobs to his feet but Jacobs trips him and then applies a reverse figure four to Petey. Seeing an opportunity Shelley locks in the Border City Stretch again on Petey. Petey's trapped by the challengers. This double submission looks to have him beaten. Shelley and Jacobs keep on looking back and forth to each other, knowing that they can't win the match this way. Shelley is the first to release the hold, he swings around and knees Jacobs in the face knocking him out. Shelley then grabs the legs of Jacobs and puts him in a Boston crab. Petey Williams gets back to his feet and holds Jacobs down with a crossface chickenwing front chancery move. Petey then rolls over into a bridge pulling Jacobs neck and arm to the side with an awesome modified submission hold.

Again Shelley looks anxious, knowing he can't win this way. Petey on the other hand doesn't look to be bothered, as he'll retain the title anyway. However once Shelley releases his submission Petey reacts by kicking him in the leg. Petey jumps up and trips Shelley to the canvas, Sharpshooter!! Shelley screams in pain and starts to thrash about trying to escape, however all his attempts appear to be useless. Williams sits down applying more pressure to the legs of Shelley. This is when he starts getting incredibly desperate and uses everything he has in reserve to push himself over towards the ropes. Shelley reaches out but the ropes are just beyond his grasps. He makes one last reach but is grabbed by Jimmy Jacobs who hooks him up into a camel clutch. Petey and Jacobs pull Shelley back into the centre of the ring. The crowd are actually a little confused by this point. Shelley has done very little heel-like in this match, and here he is being double teamed by the faces, which seems very much reverse roles. Shelley screams of agony are muffled due to Jacobs' hands covering his mouth. Petey wraps his legs around Shelley's and releases the sharpshooter, he now has a sort of Indian deathlock kind of lock around his legs. Petey reaches backwards and grabs Jacobs in a sleeper hold. Petey pulls Jacobs off Shelley and around near him, Petey turns the sleeper into a front facelock before dropping Jacobs right onto his head with a DDT, as Petey drops onto his back he snaps down on the legs of Shelley. Petey with a lateral press on Jacobs, 1...2... Jacobs kicks out.

Petey stalks Shelley from behind as he reaches his feet. Petey grabs him in a waistlock and tries for a German suplex. Shelley falls forward against the ropes. Jimmy Jacobs runs at Petey from behind and pushes him before rolling him backwards with a rolling prawn hold, the momentum of Petey falling backwards is enough for him to pull. Jacobs rolls over the top of Petey and goes for the pin on Shelley, 1...2... Shelley kicks out. Jacobs and Shelley are both surprisingly quick to their feet. Jacobs pats his leg and the crowd start to cheer loudly. Bezerker Boot! Shelley ducks. Spinning Wheel Kick! Petey Williams nearly decapitates Jimmy Jacobs. 1...2... Shelley pulls Williams off Jacobs. Shelley throws Petey out of the ring but he manages to stay on the apron, where he lies trying to recover some strength. Shelley kicks Jacobs in the gut. Shellshock!!!! Jacobs' head literally ricochets off the mat. He must be concussed after the beating he's got in this match, with the number of times his head's been slammed down. Shelley with the pin, a new champion?! 1...2... a last ditch elbow from Petey breaks the pin! Petey nails Shelley in the face with a forearm and follows it up with a snap suplex. Petey holds onto the trunks of Shelley and pulls him back to his feet. Petey lifts Shelley up and leans him over the top rope and before taking him to the mat with a cyclone spinning neckbreaker. 1...2... Shelley gets his foot on the rope! Petey doesn't believe it. He grabs Shelley and drags him to the centre of the ring. Petey attempts a sharpshooter but Shelley breaks free. He crawls forward on his stomach whilst Petey grips his ankles from behind. Meanwhile Jimmy Jacobs is slowly making his way to his feet but is in a groggy state. Shelley rolls forward catapulting Petey away from him. Petey is catapulted towards Jacobs and is in a sunset flip position in midair! Canadian Destroyer!!!!!!!! Jacobs is out cold, Petey rolls him over for the pin, 1...2...3!!! Shelley pushes himself along the mat to break the pin but is too late. Petey retains the IWA Midsouth Heavyweight Title.

RESULT : PETEY WILLIAMS defeats JIMMY JACOBS, ALEX SHELLEY

RATING : ***3/4 - Non-stop action match. A little spotty with no real actual technical build up however the crowd were really into it and the wrestlers bumped their asses over. Big props to Jimmy Jacobs, after the Shellshock his eyes were glazing over and the Canadian Destroyer looked like it nearly killed him. The poor little Huss. Great match, however after this and Aries/Capri I feel the main event may be a little anti-climatic

All three men lie exhausted in the ring and the crowd applaud them. Ian Rotten appears through the gym doors and walks to the ring. Rotten is handed a microphone and the IWAMS Heavyweight Title belt. He climbs into the ring and gives a brief applause to the men.

Rotten : "Come on everybody, lets hear it for these guys. (**Fans applaud louder**). Myself and others included have sat and watched on from the back, seeing you three guys beat the hell out of each other. It's moments like this that not only makes me proud of IWA Midsouth, but of the future stars of this business. And in my eyes, you three are all stars of the future, if not stars now! (**The crowd whistle and applaud, agreeing with Ian's statement as the three wrestlers prop themselves up against turnbuckles. Jacobs is the most worst for wear**) At this very moment, you three are like my sons, I'm proud of each and every on of you and what you're going to achieve in the future. Jimmy Jacobs. (**A Huss chant starts and Jacobs bursts back into life**) You've got a never say quit, never say never attitude. When you first debuted in IWA you had your ass kicked left right and centre, but you fought on and you've become on of the biggest stars in the promotion, you've helped make IWA what it is today. You've been hunting down this title for a year now. You've been unlucky in your current endeavours, but you wont quit and someday, that belt and many more belts I believe will be around your waist. Petey Williams, the IWA Midsouth Heavyweight Champion. (**Ian drapes the belt over Petey's shoulder**) The adopted child of IWA. You may not be born and bred here, but you are as just as much the son of the Midwest than these two. We took you in and you rose up the ranks and won this title last April, after going through seven other men to do so. You are truly worthy of this belt! (**Crowd applaud Petey**). And finally we have Alex Shelley. The man who has been said to have talent on loan from God. The man who's been close but is yet to have tasted the cigar. Just keep plugging away and eventually you will get the win you much desire. You just have to seize the opportunity when it's presented to you."

Rotten holds his hand out for Shelley to shake but Shelley grabs the microphone from his other hand.

Shelley : "Seize the opportunity. What opportunity. What opportunities have you ever given me? You've always overlooked me. 'Just throw him in a match with Jimmy Jacobs, maybe eventually Jimmy will be able to beat him'. That's the mentality you've had when booking me and I'm sick of it. I'm sick of you Ian. I'm sick of the IWA fans, I'm sick of the AWL fans and I've only been here two nights. You come out here and give an impromptu speech about how great we are and get the crowd to applaud us. I don't give a shit if the crowd applaud or respect me, because I don't respect them. The same goes for you Ian; I know the reaction you've given to me following this match, just like the reaction the fans gave me, is a pile of shit. I know you don't respect me and my abilities, and you know what? I don't care! You see I don't respect you either! All three of us are like your children. Jimmy is the kid you've seen growing up and you want him to succeed. Petey Williams is your adopted son. And me, I'm your bastard love child. You know I'm there, yet you wish I wasn't. So you keep throwing shit at me to keep me off your radar. But tonight as you said, I should seize the moment. And this is the moment I've been waiting for, ever since I debuted in your god forsaken IWA company..."

Shelley nails Ian Rotten across the face with the microphone. The shock of the attack causes Ian to fall to the mat where Shelley uses alternate microphone shots and boots to attacks Rotten. Petey and Jimmy run over and pull Shelley off Rotten. Shelley falls to the mat and bails from the ring. The crowd boo him as he leaves for the back laughing. He mouths "Fuck you too" to the fans before walking out through the doors. After a few seconds Ian Rotten gets to his feet and walks to the back with Petey Williams and Jimmy Jacobs.

Ian Rotten was meant to present the "Best in the Midwest" trophy however he's went off to the back. So B-Squared takes a break from his announcing duties and sits the Best in the Midwest Trophy (Which is gold and in the shape of the Midwestern states block, on top of a wooden base) as well as the AWL Heavyweight Championship on a table which is positioned a fair distance from the ring. Dan Severn's music hits and the crowd break into a cheer (He is presenting the trophy to the winner along with Ian Rotten). The music keeps on playing, however no one comes out through the doors. In the ring, B-Squared shrugs his shoulders and the music is cut.

B-Squared : "Now this is the match you've all been waiting for. Who is the Best in the Midwest!!!! The field of 16 talented wrestlers has been narrowed down to just two. And now these two will battle it out for the Best in the Midwest Trophy and the Anarchy Wrestling League Heavyweight Championship!!! (**crowd pop**)"

B-Squared : "Making his way to ring; from Hollywood, California. He's 6 foot, 210 pounds. (**"Feel good hit of the Summer" by QOTSA plays**) It's Revolution Championship Wrestling's own......ACID!!!!"

The crowd applaud as Acid walks out through the doors. He looks anxious as he slides into the ring. His early confidence and focus doesn't seem to be there anymore. But his opponent will likely be tired following a 36-minute semi-final match; Acid will probably be at an advantage here. Acid squats down and leans back against a turnbuckle as B-Squared gets ready to introduce the other finalist.

B-Squared : "(**Broken Man #6 by RATM starts up**) Making his way out to the ring. Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He's weighed and measured at 5'9, 196 pounds. It's IWA Midsouth's...... AUSTIN ARIES!!!"

Aries comes out through the gym doors and walks to the ring. He looks heavily fatigued from the two matches he's had earlier tonight. He rolls into the ring and the bell is sounded, tonight's main event is about to get underway. 2 days of matches has finally boiled down to this!

AWL Heavyweight Title Match / Best in the Midwest 2004 : FINAL!

Acid vs Austin Aries

The crowd suddenly come to life. They're nearly as tired as the wrestlers are coming into this final match. It's coming on 12:15 am so this match isn't expected to go too long (Coupled with the fact Aries has already wrestled 40 odd minutes tonight). Acid and Aries grab each other in a collar and elbow tie up. They push each other around both trying to gain the advantage. Aries swipes Acid's leg away from under him and drives him to the mat with a judo trip. Aries falls on top of Acid and locks him in a side headlock. Aries knows that he's the weaker man, so he's got to ground Acid and wear away at him in order to gain an advantage. Acid manages to roll Aries over onto his shoulders, 1... Aries rolls back over clutching in the side headlock. Acid slowly fights back to his feet and sends Aries towards the ropes. Both men collide into each other in the middle of the ring and stumble backwards. Acid throws a punch at Aries but it's blocked. Aries then nails him in the face with a stiff forearm shot. Aries keeps going with the forearms before sending Acid off the ropes. He knocks him to the canvas with a back elbow to the face. Aries locks in a sleeper on the floored Acid, again to wear him down. Acid tries to escape but Aries has the sleeper in tight. He has a game plan for success and it appears to be working. Acid eventually makes it to his feet and breaks from Aries clutches with a big elbow to the gut.

Acid whips Aries off the ropes and when he comes back he connects with a vicious spinning wheel kick to the face. Both men are quick to their feet; Aries is suffering the affects of the spin kick. This allows Acid to grab him from behind and run into the ropes, rolling prawn hold for the 1...2... Aries kicks out. Acid with a hiptoss. High elevation dropkick to the face of Aries, 1...2... Aries kicks out. Acid sends him into the turnbuckle and brings the back of his hand across the bare chest of Aries with some chops. Aries turns the predicament around and pins Acid back against the corner and hits some stiff chops across his chest before switching back to his trusty forearm blows. A big forearm causes Acid to stumble from the corner allowing Aries to hit a spinning forearm that knocks Acid flat on his back. Powerdrive elbow, 1...2... Acid easily kicks out. Acid sits up but Aries keeps him grounded by locking in another sleeper. Aries rolls Acid over onto his stomach and lies on his back. Aries digs his right knee into the back of Acid before switching to a modified camel clutch pulling his head back whilst pushing his knee into Acid's back. The referee quickly squats down and checks on Acid. Acid gives a goofy smile through the pain saying he's not giving up. Aries stretches him back more and more and pushes his other knee into his back. Acid screams in pain. The pressure being applied to his upper body is agonising. He desperately tries to push himself towards the ropes but the weight of Austin Aries on his back makes it harder for him. He's slowly getting closer and closer to the ropes. Aries stands up and tucks Acid's arms under his elbows as he switches to a standard camel clutch. Aries pulls Acid back into the middle of the ring and his body slowly starts to go limp. Aries starts to shout and scream, the intensity is boiling up inside him. Aries sets his eyes to the arena door as he notices Vic Capri walking out!? Capri walks towards the ring and pulls up a chair on the outside and sits.

This distraction causes Aries to lose concentration, allowing Acid to fight free. Acid hits Aries in the back of the head with an elbow before scooping him up and planting him with a body slam. Acid darts off the ropes and hits a rolling senton on Aries, 1...2... Austin kicks out. Acid pulls a page out of Austin Aries' book and snaps him to the canvas with a Japanese armdrag. Acid kicks Aries in the gut and tucks his head between his legs, Styles Clash coming up! No! Aries swings his heel to the side of the head of Acid. Aries quickly hooks up a groggy Acid and nails the Brainbuster! Lateral press, 1...2... Acid kicks out!!! He's not giving up yet! Aries drags Acid towards the turnbuckle before making his way up to the top rope. Aries dives down looking for the 450 Splash! Acid moves causing Aries to crash flat on his face!!! Both men grip on the ropes in order to help them to their feet. Both men stumble towards each other. Acid reacts first and kicks Aries, Styles Clash coming again! Aries again tries to fight the Styles Clash but Acid manages to hooks his legs over Aries' arms and drives him to the mat! Acid rolls the near lifeless Aries over, 1...2... Aries gets his foot on the rope! Acid doesn't believe it. Neither does Vic Capri on the outside, who has now stood up and taken the folded chair in his hands. Acid makes his way to the top rope for his version of the 450 Splash. Aries recovers and crotches his opponent up on the top rope. Aries climbs up the front of the turnbuckle and hooks up Acid. Avalanche Brainbuster! No! Acid pushes him down. Aries tries to land on his feet, this causes him to ricochet into the referee, knocking both himself and the referee down. Capri jumps onto the apron as Aries struggles to his feet and Acid perches himself on the top rope. Vicious chair shot!......... To Acid!?!?!?!?!! Acid falls down to the ring and Aries quickly locks him up in an elevated Boston crab (pushing his knee into Acid's back). Aries and Capri laugh at each other as the referee sees Acid's hand frantically hammer down on the mat. Aries wins! Aries wins!

RESULT : AUSTIN ARIES defeats ACID

TIME : 10:50

RATING : ** - The match itself wasn't really that good. Some good psychology was used though and the Capri swerve at the end definitely had the crowd pissed (Mostly Aries siding with him, as apposed to him smacking Acid across the back with the chair as most of the crowd were rooting for Aries anyway). Obviously both men were tired, hopefully they can pull out a better/longer match next month

Vic Capri reaches over the topes and gives Aries a pat on the back. He walks to the table and picks up the Best in the Midwest Trophy and the AWL Heavyweight Championship. He climbs into the ring and hands Aries the trophy before draping the belt over his shoulder. Capri asks for the microphone.

Capri : "Lets hear it for the Best in the Midwest, your Anarchy Wrestling League Heavyweight Champion; Austin Aries!! (**crowd boo**)."

Aries : "Woah, woah. You were cheering for me to win, and now I have won you turn your back on me. Well fuck you. I don't need this fucking trophy to prove I'm the best. And only this man saw that."

Capri : "This man you see right here is me. Just like me everyone cheered him; they wished him success. But when he actually gets it, you shit on him. Just like you all shat on me. He is the best thing to happen to this industry in a long, long time yet nobody can see it. And he don't need no fucking trophy to show this!"

Aries swings the trophy and nails Acid in the face. He then slams it down onto the head of Acid over and over again. This eventually draws out Ian Rotten, Delirious, Jimmy Jacobs, Petey Williams, Aero, Justin Kage, Ken Anderson and Mickie Knuckles. They all quickly slide into the ring causing Capri and Aries to bail from the ring. The men and woman in the ring check on Acid as Aries and Capri back up towards the entrance door. Aries wraps the title belt around his waist and lifts up the trophy high above his head as Capri yells "The Best Man Always Wins!" (**Where the video released on SMV finishes**) before the two of them walk to the back. In the ring they help Acid up before all going off to the back, leaving B-Squared to wrap up the show and thank the fans for coming.

Unfortunately our show scheduled for 9/18 at the Skate West in Crest Hill, Illinois has got to be rescheduled (Due to a clash with IWAMS's Ted Petty Invitational). With many of the talent we'd hoped to have booked working IWA that night, we've rescheduled our 9/18 show to 9/24 (A Friday night). Unfortunately due to the rearranged date Chandler McClure will be unable to compete on the show. However he will be back (as will AWL) on 10/16 when we return to the Centralia Recreation Complex in Centralia, Illinois. If there's any inconvenience and you are now unable to make the show, get in touch with the ticket provider and we'll give you a full refund.

AWL Heavyweight Title Match : Acid vs Austin Aries © (w/Vic Capri)

At Best in the Midwest, Austin Aries walked out victorious (but to a chorus of boos) with the BITM Trophy and AWL Heavyweight Title. He aligned himself with Vic Capri (The two met in the Semi-Finals and produced a 35 minute stunner), and the two of them screwed the fans out of a worthy ending to such a fine tournament, when Capri hit Acid with a steel chair, which led to Aries' win. But on 9/24 Acid will have a chance to settle the score. Now with the fans firmly behind him he will collide one on one with Austin Aries. Aries will be putting his AWL Championship on the line, but more importantly after the way he won the tournament, he wants to prove to the fans in attendance he can beat Acid without any help!

No Holds Barred : Alex Shelley and Jack Evans vs Ian Rotten and Horace the Psychopath

Following what happened at "BITM-Night 2" where Alex Shelley attacked Ian Rotten and said he was always overlooked, Shelley released a challenge to Ian Rotten. A No Holds Barred Tag Team match, with partners of their choosing. In the challenge Shelley said "The only way for Ian to notice you, is for you to fuck yourself up. So that's what I’m gonna do. It's going to be no holds barred. I'll beat the fat bastard at his own game". Alex Shelley has enlisted the services of his Ring Of Honor, Generation Next stable-mate Jack Evans. Evans can withstand a beating and can dish out some sick attacks, so with his resilience and aerial prowess Shelley is hoping he can survive and out speed Rotten. Rotten replies with Midwest 13 year veteran, Horace the Psychopath. Horace worked last years IWAMS Deathmatch Tournament and last years Mid American Wrestling's Hardcore Cup (Where he lost to Ian Rotten). So Rotten knows first hand what Horace is capable of. Rotten feels hurt after what Shelley said about him, but not as hurt as Shelley and Evans will be after this match!

Brad Bradley vs Matt Sydal (w/Daizee Haze)

This is a rematch from the Quarterfinal match of the BITM Tournament. Sydal picked up a shock victory over Bradley following a crucifix cradle. But during the match Sydal suffered a concussion, which forced Sydal to become a quick victim in the Semi-Finals. So Brad Bradley angrily requested a rematch, to which Sydal accepted wanting to prove his win was not a fluke. There's been some controversy surrounding Bradley following the last show. As the legendary Dan Severn was found battered to a bloody pulp backstage, towards the end of the show. And after Severn humiliated him at Night 1 of the show. The finger has been pointed at Bradley as the prime suspect!

Aero and Delirious vs Jimmy Rave and Sal Rinaurro

The WILDSIDE boys, Jimmy Rave and Sal Rinaurro made a big impact at our debut show both in and out of the ring. They appeared through the doors and slagged off the Centralia Illinois crowd. They then showed their worth in the ring by defeating The Strong Brothers (Sedrick and Roderick) in a solid tag team match. Later on in the night though was when they really made their presence felt. Aero and Delirious were scheduled to fight 1 on 1, however through their gibberish they managed to form a friendship. This caused Rave and Rinaurro to run in and destroy them both. They challenge them to a tag match and then promise the debut of something or someone called "Project Anarchy". Who or what is "Project Anarchy"? and when will 'it' surface?!

Mickie Knuckles vs Nikita

This match came about following what happened at BITM. On the night 1 card these two women were on opposing tag teams as Mickie teamed with long time friend Daizee Haze and the German superstar, Nikita teamed with the mysterious Ms Chif. Ms Chif and Nikita were victorious however after the match Ms Chif attacked Nikita. So the following night Nikita/Ms Chif and Mickie were thrown in a triple threat elimination. Mickie walks out victorious after defeating the two women. Following the match Nikita gets revenge of Ms Chif by nailing her with a Yakuza Kick. Again Nikita will be in AWL competition and will want to prove herself more dominant than American women. And in order to do this, she wants to beat Mickie Knuckles!

Adam Evans vs Danny Daniels (w/Jim Fannin)

This match was booked following the outcome of the first ever Total Mayhem match at BITM-Night 2. Daniels was the favourite for the victory after he eliminated Sabian early on and then eliminated Eric Priest. This left the match down to Evans and Daniels. Daniels looked to be in form control taking Evans from the top rope with a rana but the young kid rolled through into a sunset flip bridge for the upset win. Despite being at a disadvantage for both size and weight, Danny Daniels will be the favourite to take this rematch. He has the experience advantage and also has the technical edge on the rookie. Plus he has his manager Jim Fannin at ringside and Fannin will do anything to make sure his client wins!

Justin Kage, Roderick Strong and Sedrick Strong vs Shawn Daivari, ???? and ????

This match was made following the events of BITM-Night 2. Daivari made a sit down protest in the ring following being eliminated from the tournament, saying that he wont let it go ahead. This draws out the master of the "SHAAA" Justin Kage who challenges him to a match. Daivari wins using the ropes for leverage. The Strong Brothers come out and the three of them (Including Justin Kage) lay a beating on Daivari, allowing the show to continue. Daivari has made a challenge to the 3 for a 6-man tag, which of course has been accepted. Daivari says he has two sympathisers to his cause who will help him!

Plus an announcement about the future of AWL and CHIKARA from CHIKARA's Mike Quackenbush!!!

And more action from the likes of Trik Davis, Conrad Kennedy III, Eric Priest, Johnny Dynamo and Deryck St Holmes!

9/24 - UNLEASHING ANARCHY

The attendance is down an awful lot from last months show. This could be due to many reasons. Firstly without the big name tournament people just view it as nothing different to what RCW, NWANL, IWAMS and the like are doing. Secondly the rearranged date of the show, may mean people who originally bought tickets are unable to come, plus the fact the show is on a Friday may effect it. And another possibility is the arena the show is held at, however Midwestern States Pro Wrestling often promote events here to a good number. So with a mere 44 people in attendance (Better drawing than some IWA shows however), The AWL is ready to rock Skate West, Crest Hill, Illinois.

What sounds like cheesy Japanese pop music hits and "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush busts out through the curtain (Set up in front of the door, classy!) and into the arena. The crowd actually give him a big applause, obviously hearing or seeing his good showing in the TPI where he reached the semi-finals. Quackenbush is here tonight to make a big announcement about the future of CHIKARA and AWL. He is handed a microphone by the ring announcer (Just same random dude tonight).

Quackenbush : "As some of you may know, I run a wrestling promotion and wrestling school out in Pennsylvania, called the CHIKARA wrestle-factory (**The crowd give off a small pop**). Ever since AWL announced their first show they've been in contact with us about setting up a training facility out here in Illinois. And tonight we are proud to announce that starting from the first of next month we will be accepting the first group of trainees into the ANARCHY Wrestle Factory!! This promotion will be conjoint run with The Anarchy Wrestling League and will also incorporate the pre-existing Midwestern States Pro Wrestling Academy. So along with myself the trainees will receive training from Eric Priest, Danny Daniels, Ian Rotten and "Not so Reckless and Not so Youthful Youth" Tom Carter!!!!!! Applications are open to anyone, you don't need to have any previous wrestling experience, you can get application forms from either the CHIKARA, AWL of MSPW websites or from the SMV merchandise stand at the back of the arena."

Some familiar or unfamiliar music (Depends if you're an IWA or CHIKARA fan) hits and The Wildcards; Eddie Kingston and Blackjack Marciano walk out from the back in their all white attire (sleeveless t-shirts and cargo pants) with their newly won IWAMS Tag Team Title belts hung across their shoulders (Yes I know there are actually no 'belts', but they made some, yeah). The Wildcards mock some of the fans in attendance in the fashion only they can; this starts an entourage of boos for them.

Kingston : "That's right, the Wildcards are here and are set to raise anarchy! (**he turns his attention to a large women in the front row**) Do you mind shutting the fuck up when I'm speaking you fat bitch. If you're going to eat at least do it with your mouth closed. I don't want to put my foot in it, but... well actually if I put my foot in it I'll probably have a stump for a leg. Oh, I do apologise for offending you; but you're offending me, I find you offensive. (**After some irreverent banter he goes back to addressing Quackenbush**). As you may have realised Mike, it's not just your credibility that has been raised since the Ted Petty Invitational. You may have wowed the audience with good performances but at the end of the day you still got your ass kicked eventually, whereas me and Jack here became IWA:Midsouth Tag Team Champions. We walked out with the gold and you walked out with a slight limp. And now The Wildcards are going on a round the world tour......Or at least to Wisconsin (**Marciano adds**)......and we're going to prove that we're better than you. For all these years you've been saying you're shielding us under your wing, when in reality you've been keeping us in your shadow. The Wildcards' Wisconsin World Tour begins here with a victory over you. One on one!"

Quack motions for Kingston to bring it on. First Quack's big announcement and then The Wildcard's debut in AWL!!

WILDCARDS WISCONSIN WORLD TOUR - MATCH 1

Eddie Kingston (w/Blackjack Marciano) vs Mike Quackenbush

Kingston and Quack slug it out straight away with big right hands. Kingston overpowers his trainer and forces him back into the turnbuckle where he starts to thrust some knees up into Quackenbush. Quackenbush forces Kingston to back off with some sharp kicks to his knees. Kingston hops about the ring a while as Quackenbush looks on chuckling with the crowd. He swings another kick towards Kingston who nearly shits himself and puts his hands over his head like a scared child. Quack however stops mid move and instead stamps on Kingston's foot causing him to hop over to the ropes and bail out of the ring. Quackenbush does a warm up celebration for the crowd, when Jack Marciano slides into the ring (Okay I know they're both bald but do they really think the ref can be that stupid. Well they look more alike than the Basham Brothers; at least 1 isn't a good 2/3 inches bigger than the other). Marciano decks Quack with a running clothesline to the back. He starts stomping away on Mike on the canvas but Quackenbush uses his agility to roll away and make it to his feet. He makes a dart for Marciano but is given a headlock takedown for his troubles. Quack reverses by wrapping his legs around the head of Marciano and pulls him to the amt with the head scissor lock. Marciano twists his head between the feet of Quack and looks to roll himself over on top of Quack with a bridge. Marciano tries to push himself off with his feet onto his head but he gets stuck. Again he tries and again he can't get over. Quack lies there shrugging his shoulders as Marciano keeps on trying. Quack pulls down the bottom of his top revealing his back and delivers a ferocious open hand chop, which echoes around the arena. Marciano now bails out the ring, causing Kingston to enter back in the match.

Quack grabs the arm of Kingston and after a quick step over, he drops on his knees causing Kingston to fall unprotected on his face. Quack makes a dash for the roes but Marciano pulls them down on the outside causing Quack to flip to the outside. However he manages to land on the apron, he gives Marciano a quick heel kick knocking him back a couple of feet. Quackenbush springboards onto the middle rope, asai moonsault down onto Marciano! Quackenbush quickly leaps back up onto the apron where he runs along and catches the rising Eddie Kingston with a palm strike! Kingston doesn't fall over but is completely out on his feet. Quack jumps to the top rope where he springboards down and takes down Kingston with a rana. Quackenbush signals for his signature Lightning Kick and the crowd applaud. However Marciano has other ideas. He gets the ring crew to clear some people off their seats, saying "He's gonna destroy Quack". Quackenbush notices him climb to the apron. Quackenbush takes charge. Lightning Kick! Marciano flies off the apron, crashing into the rows of steel chairs!!!! As Quackenbush turns around he notices Kingston standing in a praying mantis position (mocking Quack) with his knee in the air and wrists hanging down. Quackenbush makes a limp wrist gesture towards Kingston. Kingston hops up from the position and attempts a really bad kick; Quackenbush just swipes his leg in midair causing him to fall flat on his arse. Quack grabs Kingston and hits a German suplex, he rolls through and grabs Kingston's legs and then drives him back to the mat with a wheelbarrow suplex. Kingston looks to be completely destroyed. Quack makes his way to the top rope, but someone of his experience should realise this would give Kingston a chance to recover. Kingston grabs Quack and tosses him down from the top rope. Spear! 1...2... Quack kicks out. Marciano obviously wanting revenge is back up on the apron. Kingston locks onto Quackenbush from behind with a waistlock. Quackenbush rushes forward towards Marciano and drops to the mat. The momentum causes Kingston to fly out of the ring through the middle rope. Marciano tries to jump over the oncoming Kingston but he can't jump high enough and his legs are caught leaving him lying over the top rope. Quack pushes himself onto the middle rope and grabs Marciano. He pulls him into the ring as he dives off the middle rope and hits an awesome implant DDT, 1...2...3. The referee must have knew Marciano wasn't Kingston there by he obviously just doesn't care anymore. The Wildcard's Wisconsin World Tour gets off to a bad start.

RESULT : MIKE QUACKENBUSH defeats EDDIE KINGSTON

TIME : 9:07

RATING : ** - A nice comedy match to heat up the crowd. Neither man showed what they were capable of (Especially Quackenbush) but the point of this match was to warm up the crowd and initiate the CHIKARA guys within AWL and it has certainly done that

As the ring is cleared "Prophecy" by Soulfly hits and out comes Shawn Daivari with his magic carpet wrapped around his back. Tonight he's wearing black trunks with a small Iranian flag on the top left hand side. Daivari is handed the microphone as he enters the ring.

Daivari : "For years I've been oppressed in thees industry. Ever since I debude, eets been the same story. I was screwed in thee super 8 tournament. But then I got success, I won thee I-8 tournament. By myself, I prove myself to thee world. But no, eet wasn't good enough. I come here and get screwed again, I'm sick of eet. I am sick of you all. All you lower class, patriotic American scum. You boo me for being patriotic, when you are all the same. You all hate me because of who I am. But not all American's are like this, no I found two men who agree with what I say. They hate you lower class scum who get your hand outs from their hard work. Let me introduce, Conrad Kennedy The Third and Deryck St Holmes!!!"

Conrad Kennedy III and Deryck St Holmes walk out through the curtain both wearing matching royal blue trunks with their names on the back. They're obviously planning on having these two team often then. Conrad Kennedy is clutching something, which is hidden under a small Eastern decorated piece of cloth. CK3 is handed the microphone by Daivari and he passes the cloth covered item to Holmes.

CK3 : "The words you spoke there, Mister Daivari could not have been more true. It's because of the likes of these ignorant people relations between the East and West have been crumbling as of late. And as an apology Deryck and I will like to present you with this Golden Fist. The fist represents you fighting against the oppression but on you by the American People."

Holmes hands Daivari the fist (Which is about the size of a boxing glove. Probably made from a melted down teapot and painted gold ¬_¬). "Did My Time" by Korn hits and the crowd go wild. Roderick Strong and Sedrick Strong come on in dark red pants (With "Strong" written on both legs). Justin Kage comes out following them in all black (short sleeve t-shirt and pants). The three of them slide into the ring causing Daivari, Holmes and Kennedy to bail. The Strong's taunt the three men on the outside, our second match of the night is about to get underway.

Conrad Kennedy III, Deryck St Holmes and Shawn Daivari vs Justin Kage and The Strong Brothers

Kage and Kennedy kick off the match. They start off with a pretty much standard cruiserweight exchange originating from a hand-to-hand tie-up. CK3 comes out and top and following an armdrag he keeps an arm lock held in. Kage rolls back onto his shoulders and uses a reverse monkey flip to pull CK3 over onto his back. Kage pulls on the arm of CK3 and pushes his feet against his shoulder and has a scissored arm lock in. Deryck St Holmes enters the ring and helps his partner out by hitting a stomp of Kage. Sedrick Strong sends Holmes running scared. As the referee gets Sedrick Strong out of the ring it allows CK3 and Shawn Daivari to double team Kage with some punches and kicks, eventually culminating with a double Russian legsweep. CK3 tags out to Holmes and the two beat down on Kage using knees and elbows. Holmes with the cover, 1...2... Kage kicks out. Holmes keeps Kage grounded with wristlocks and sleepers, any kind of hold that wears away his body. Kage shows his grit and determination and fights back and sends Deryck St Holmes into the ropes. Rana from Kage! Holmes is sent flying into his corner and tags in CK3. CK3 grabs the leg of Kage before he can tag out. CK3 has Kage's leg from behind, until Kage hits a heel kick variation of an enziguri and tags out to Roderick Strong!

Strong enters and uses the ropes to give him an extra push as he nails CK3 in the face with a Yakuza Kick! 1...2... CK3 kicks out. Roderick Strong drags up CK3 and slams his face into the turnbuckle. A few forearms later and CK3 collapses to the floor in the corner. Strong darts off the ropes for a high impact attack on CK3 however Daivari has other ideas and a forearm across the back soon knocks the wind out of Roderick Strong's sails causing him to stumble forward. Always one to capitalise on an opportunity CK3 leaps up out of the corner and hits a variation of a tornado DDT from a standing position sending Strong headfirst into the canvas. CK3 tags out to Deryck St Holmes and the two double-team Roderick Strong with quick submission holds and strikes. The referee forces CK3 from the ring. Deryck quickly tags out to Shawn Daivari who slingshots over the top rope before crashing down onto Roderick Strong with a Legdrop, 1...2... Strong kicks out. Daivari stalks Roderick Strong as he gets to his feet and starts to beat away on him with right hands. Strong has a surge of energy and starts to club back at Daivari. The two go through the motions, locking up, armdragging and striking each other. Daivari comes out on top with a quick Northern Lights Brainbuster, 1...2... Justin Kage breaks the pin. Daivari quickly rolls to his corner of the ring and tags out to Deryck St Holmes. Deryck St Holmes goes straight to work on Roderick Strong. Holmes darts off the ropes, Strong however recovers quicker than Holmes expected and hits a backbreaker, he holds onto Holmes and flips him over into a rib-breaker. He quickly scoops up Holmes losing no momentum and flips him over with a t-bone backbreaker.

Roderick Strong collapses forward and tags out to his brother. Sedrick Strong storms the ring only for Shawn Daivari and CK3 to charge towards him. Strong flattens CK3 with an elbow to the face. He turns just in time to hiptoss Daivari. Sedrick Strong looks to suplex Daivari but the Iranian drops from the back and hits a German suplex driving Sedrick Strong down onto the back of his head. Justin Kage psyches himself on the apron and waits for CK3 and Holmes to reach their feet. Kage leaps up to the top rope and hits a springboard dropkick taking out both of his foes. Kage however has little time to celebrate as a huge Shawn Daivari clothesline sends both men flying over the top rope. CK3 rolls out onto the apron leaving Sedrick Strong and Deryck St Holmes in the ring. It could go either way as both men struggle to their feet. Strong's there first. Back Drop Driver!!! Holmes is dropped right on his head. 1...2... CK3 breaks the pin!!!! Hang on, he's shielding something under his body. It's the Golden Fist. Old school weapon attacks and corniness!!! An awkward moment comes about here as the fist is clearly visible however the referee must act as if he hasn't seen it, which leads to some stalling and confusing. Eventually CK3 positions a lifeless Sedrick Strong within jumping distance from the corner where Shawn Daivari is already perched shaking the cobwebs out of his 'magic carpet'. Frogsplash from Daivari!! Daivari makes the cover after his trademark Magic Carpet Ride and gets the 1...2...3. Justin Kage and Roderick Strong slide into the ring but it's too late. CK3, Shawn Daivari and Deryck St Holmes retreat to the back in their usual, cocky and confident fashion following a big win tonight.

RESULT : SHAWN DAIVARI, CONRAD KENNEDY III & DERYCK ST HOLMES defeat JUSTIN KAGE & THE STRONG BROTHERS

TIME : 9:44

RATING : *3/4 - A good little match though the lack of overall psychology let it down. There are plenty of potential feuds that could stem from this. The Daivari, CK3 and Holmes partnership looks interesting with CK3 and Holmes playing upper class Arabian sympathisers. They teased Kage going with Daivari numerous times during the match but it never really came. They're obviously building up to something big

As "Sex on Wheels" by My Time with the Thrill Kill Cult fades out, the bastard love child of "The Narcissist" Lex Luger and Billy & Chuck struts around the ring hoping to catch the reflection of his leopard skin trunks in the turnbuckle post. After admiring himself for a little while longer, Priest is handed the house microphone to make his speech to the world, or the 44 people in attendance;

Priest : "Last month some of you may have seen me beaten by Sabian. I'm not going to beat about the bush and make excuses, I'm just going to say...... SABIAN, YOU DID NOT DESERVE TO BEAT ME! Plain and simple. You may have beaten me, but you did not win. It was a cheap pinfall; you disgraced the match, yourself and me. You're weak and you know it, you had to result to cheap tactics to win the match. You know you couldn't defeat The Epitome Of Masculinity, you have nothing on me. I know it, you know it and next month I'm going to prove it in a rematch. And tonight, I'm going to show you the real, mans way to win a match."

"The Underwear Model" Eric Priest vs Trik Davis

The crowd let off a tiny cheer as Trik Davis comes charging frantically down the ring, a change of pace from his vain opponent. Trik Davis, who vaguely resembles a scared 12-year-old boy slides quickly into the ring and goes straight for Priest. Trik jumps and turns in midair wrapping his legs around priest, a quick forward roll and he has Priest in a bridge, 1...2... Priest kicks out. Trik quickly takes the larger man to the mat with a headlock takedown. There's no time for niceties; both men have a point to prove. Priest continues with the quick pace the match has started off with by quickly getting to his feet and pushing Trik into the ropes. Priest decks Davis with a shoulder barge before dropping a swift elbow drop to his heart. Priest locks onto a rising Trik from behind and snaps him back down to the mat with a Russian legsweep. Priest too looks for an early pinfall, 1...2... Trik kicks out without much trouble. Priest and Trik tie up in the centre of the ring. The little guy surprises Priest with a quick armdrag. As Priest struggles up Trik blasts him with a dropkick to the face knocking him flat onto his arse. Trik appears to have a newfound confidence as he makes a run for the ropes. Priest has it scouted and swings a knee to the midsection of the oncoming Trik. However Trik flips through into a schoolboy, shades of the Priest/Sabian match at BITM-Night 1. 1...2... Priest kicks out.

Priest and Trik start to exchange chops. Priest blasts Trik in the face with a right hand and sends him into the ropes. Priest pushes Trik into the air like a rag doll but Trik swings his feet forward and dropkicks Priest in the chest and knocks him back into a turnbuckle. Trik leaps up onto Priest in the corner and starts punching away at his head. Priest pushes Trik away down to the canvas. However Trik rolls back through to his feet and leaps back up onto Eric Priest. After a couple of quick punches he tosses Priest from the corner with a monkey flip. Davis looks for a pin on the prone Eric Priest but Priest has other ideas rolling Trik into a small package, 1...2... Davis kicks out. Priest grips Trik from the side and drives him onto his head with a side suplex. Priest rests his legs over the ropes for extra leverage, 1...2... Davis kicks out. As Davis fights to his feet Priest begins to wrench away at his neck. Trik pulls on Priest's leg trying to put him off balance but Priest pushes Trik away. After some blows across the back of the neck Priest yanks Trik up to his feet using his hair. Priest scoops Trik high into the air and stalls letting the blood rush down to his head. Trik however drops out of the back only to crash awkwardly to the mat (That spot went a little wrong). Priest turns around slowly to give Trik a chance to recuperate. Trik boots Priest in the gut before dashing off the ropes. Sunset flip, blocked halfway. Priest with a bridge, 1...2...3. Following the bell both men spring up to their feet, Priest grabs Trik and snaps him neck first to the canvas with the devastating, Kiss of Death, neckbreaker

RESULT : ERIC PRIEST defeats TRIK DAVIS

RATING : *3/4 - Simply a throw away match here. Its sole purpose was to make Eric Priest look strong going into his match with Sabian. The ending was a play off of the Priest/Sabian match, where a reversal into a pin got the pinfall, a win, which Priest said was cheap

"Kamikaze" Ken Anderson vs Mike Strider vs "Airborne" Vito Thomaselli

All three men were quarterfinalists in the "Best In The Midwest Tournament" and all have a point to prove in this triple threat match tonight. Mike Strider is the first out. Again he has his trusty cane in hand. The unshaven independent veteran is showing he is down with the kids, wearing baggy black cargo pants. They are coupled off with a pair of black armpads and black wrist tape, which he adjusts on the way to the ring. He's obviously looking for some strong striking action tonight. The young and cocky Vito Thomaselli is out next. Fancying himself as a 'real man', he has "?" sign, tattooed on the front of his black trunks an orange "" sign. As soon as Thomaselli hits the ring Ken Anderson charges out. Anderson looks the most psyched for this match. Anderson slides under the bottom rope and the bell is rung. The match is underway. Who will get the bragging rights from this match, who will prove they deserved more than to be a beaten quarter finalist. The three competitors size each other up in the ring. Thomaselli throws the first punch quickly jabbing Strider and then doing the same to Ken Anderson. Thomaselli is the fastest man in the match and he's looking to use his pace as an advantage.

His momentum is soon stopped dead in its tracks as Anderson and Strider swing simultaneous punches, which knock Vito right off his feet. Vito quickly bails out of the ring and takes a seat on the outside, content to let Strider and Anderson go at it. Anderson and Strider tap their knuckles together in a mutual sign of respect before they start slugging away at each other. Strider's blows appear to have more effect and he backs Ken Anderson back up against a turnbuckle. Strider continues with the right hands weakening his opponent with every blow. Anderson however reverses the predicament, swinging Strider around so his back is against the turnbuckle allowing him to get in some punches of his own before Strider pushes him away from the corner. Strider comes out of the corner and swings a stiff forearm blow, which causes Anderson's head to swing to the side. Strider sends a stumbling Ken Anderson into the ropes, Anderson ducks a clothesline attempt before blasting Strider in the face with a forearm of his own. It has much less effect than Strider's however Anderson follows it up quickly with a hiptoss taking Strider off his feet. He scoops up Strider and plants back to the canvas with a body slam and then drops an elbow to his heart. Meanwhile Vito Thomaselli has made himself at home on the outside of the ring, having pulled up his chair next to an attractive brunette, sitting cross-legged with his arm around her.

Strider adds more punishment with some clubs across the back of Anderson. Anderson tries to get away but Strider grabs onto his red trunks and pulls him backwards into a lifting knee to the face. Following a couple more knee lifts, Strider comes off the ropes with a running knee lift, knocking him flat on the canvas. 1...2... Thomaselli breaks the pin! Vito Thomaselli is fresh having sat on the outside for the duration of the match thus far and he goes straight to work on Mike Strider, bringing him to the mat with a headlock takedown. Vito keeps it synched in, however Strider has the weight and strength advantage over the cruiserweight Thomaselli and is quick to his feet before pushing Thomaselli into the ropes. Thomaselli rebounds off the ropes into a flapjack from Strider, reversal into a rana!! Strider lands hard on his head from the rana, it looked a little sloppy but drew a nice pop from the crowd. Not really good when Vito is the heel. Vito looks to use his speed to his advantage by making a dash for the ropes. However upon his return Strider is ready and waiting to plant him with a clothesline. Strider follows it quickly by scooping Vito up for a suplex however he drops him across the top rope where he's left hanging. We've seen Strider do this before, swinging a kick up into the face of his prone opponent. Strider positions himself to the side of Vito and makes strides forward but all he does is walk into Ken Anderson's right hand.

Anderson sends Strider into the ropes before snapping him ferociously to the canvas with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Anderson with the cover, 1...2... Strider kicks out. Anderson reaches his feet just in time to get a missile dropkick to the chest. 1...2... it wasn't enough for Vito Thomaselli to get the win. Vito snapmare's Anderson before locking in a sleeper hold. Anderson easily breaks free. Both men are quick to their feet. But not for long as Mike Strider steamrolls through both of them with a double spear! Strider covers both men at the same time, 1...2... they both kick out. Strider hooks Anderson's leg, 1...2... Anderson kicks out. Hooks Vito's leg, 1...2... Vito gets his shoulder up. Anderson reaches his feet and Strider whips him into the corner of the ring. Strider runs forward and drives his knee into the gut of Anderson. A winded Anderson collapses to the floor, propped up against the turnbuckle. Strider makes a dash for the ropes and almost knocks Anderson's teeth out with a cringe worthy face-wash. Strider nails a stumbling Vito Thomaselli with some punches and forearms and soon Vito is in the same predicament as Ken Anderson. Propped up against the corner and another victim of a face-wash from Strider. Strider stands admiring his handy work as both opponents are rolling around on the mat in pain. Strider, who to be perfectly honest is the least known of the men in this match is slowly become more over with this crowd. Who really seem to be digging his ruthless, brawling style.

Strider grabs Ken Anderson and tosses him out of the ring through the middle ropes, allowing him to focus entirely on Vito Thomaselli. Strider stands in wait behind Vito. Two strong clubs to the back and Strider has Vito in position. Back Drop Driver! Vito drops out of the back. Jaw shattering Superkick. 1...2... Strider gets his shoulder up!!! Luckily for Anderson Strider kicked out as the bleach blonde haired, Minnesota native had only managed to reach the apron. Vito Thomaselli looks to use his speed as an advantage, something he hasn't really had a chance to do in this match. He climbs to the top rope. However Ken Anderson seizes the opportunity to swing the match back in his favour by pushing Vito from the turnbuckle and crotches him across the top rope. Vito's head leans back into the ring, in perfect position for Strider to swing his foot up and hit a stiff kick to his face. Vito collapses from the ropes and to the outside of the ring. This leaves Anderson and Strider to brawl away exchanging big blows. Anderson decks Strider momentarily with a discus punch.

Vito Thomaselli charges back into the ring, armed with Mike Strider's cane. Thomaselli swings the cane at Anderson who ducks. Vito continues forward where Strider grabs him by the hair and tosses him over the top rope. Vito however sacrifices the cane in order to save himself by clutching onto the top rope. Meanwhile Ken Anderson takes down Strider with a big Spinebuster. Strider is in perfect position from the corner. Ken Anderson makes his way to the top rope as Vito Thomaselli skins the cat back into the ring. Anderson comes flying from the top rope, Kenton Bomb!!! Anderson's momentum sends him rolling straight up to his feet where Vito Thomaselli is ready and waiting for him. It's impossible for Anderson to stop himself as Vito scoops him up over his shoulder and drives Anderson on his skull with a Death Valley Driver!! The referee literal jumps backwards following the impact of the move. Vito hooks up both legs of Anderson over his head, 1...2...3. Vito picks up the win. With both his opponents flat out in the ring, Vito pushes back his long hair from over his eyes and blows up over his face to try and cool down, before making his way to the back having proved he's the better man.

RESULT : VITO THOMASELLI defeats KEN ANDERSON and MIKE STRIDER

RATING : **3/4 - The best match of the night thus far. Whilst it wasn't anywhere near a classic, and very little psychology was shown there was action all throughout. The three men put on a good showing, and all appear to have good futures in AWL. Despite being the heel, Vito Thomaselli actually got the most crowd support, probably because size wise he as the underdog

Johnny Dynamo vs Ray Gordy

Gordy quickly makes a run for the ring, not wasting any time. Gordy may not be the size of his father, but he certainly has the heart. Gordy adjusts his blue sweat pants before leaning back against the corner. "Jerry Was a Racecar Driver" by Primus hits and Johnny Dynamo, who is going through some sort of gimmick confusion, comes out to the ring clad in a racing helmet and black NASCAR attire. Could this also be a sly dig at TNA and their apparent NASCAR fetish? Now back to the match. This comes about following the Total Mayhem Match, where Gordy eliminated Dynamo from the match. Dynamo takes off his helmet and the two competitors tie-up. Gordy quickly trips Dynamo. Dynamo uses his feet to push Gordy away. Gordy rolls backwards and onto his feet. He makes a rush for Dynamo who looks for a hiptoss. Gordy blocks and attempts a hiptoss of his own. Dynamo too blocks before eventually planting Gordy onto his back with a hiptoss. Before Dynamo has an opportunity to capitalise Gordy has tripped him sending us back to square one. Following a sleek armdrag Gordy grabs Dynamo in a wristlock. Dynamo reaches his legs backwards and looks for a reverse monkey flip. However Gordy blocks it, meaning Dynamo has to fight free before rolling out of the wristlock.

Gordy lunges for Dynamo but is grabbed into an arm wrench. Gordy rolls forward onto his back before trying to do what Dynamo tried earlier by going for a reverse monkey flip. Gordy sends Dynamo flying forward, however Dynamo shows off his agility by managing to land on his feet. Both competitors back away from each other to small applause before locking back up. Dynamo might have been expecting a trip this time, however he gets a drop toehold instead. Gordy darts off the ropes and hits a dropkick right to the face of the crawling Dynamo. Gordy makes his way to the middle rope and signals for a tornado DDT. Dynamo however has it scouted as he tosses Gordy over his shoulder with a back body drop. Dynamo takes Gordy to the mat with a headlock takedown, Gordy rolls over into a bridge, 1...2... Dynamo kicks out and bails from the ring. A ring member holds up a stop sign for Dynamo on the outside. The crowd watch in confusion as Dynamo changes his boots before taking a fuel injection (Or a drink, whatever suits better). Then the stop sign is turned around to reveal go and Dynamo re-enters the ring following his pit stop. Gordy runs at Dynamo but gets an armdrag for his troubles. Dynamo walks backwards towards the ropes as Gordy makes another run towards him. Dynamo shoulder dips sending Gordy out onto the apron.

Dynamo pulls Gordy to his feet and attempts a right hand blow to knock him from the apron but Gordy blocks and hits a right hand of his own, before following it with a springboard clothesline, 1...2... Dynamo kicks out. Gordy whips Dynamo towards the corner, however Dynamo pulls off a move never before seen in wrestling and skids along the mat (Imagine a football/soccer sliding tackle) before turning a corner! The crowd surprisingly pop for something this retarded. Dynamo comes running back towards Gordy but gets a calf kick for his troubles. Gordy, whilst outsized by Dynamo, is strong for his size and he attempts his swinging sitout uranage bomb, which was the move that defeated Dynamo in the Total Mayhem Match. He scoops up Dynamo in a slam, and swings him around into the uranage. Dynamo blocks. Flatliner! What a reversal, 1...2... Gordy gets his shoulder up. Dynamo whips Gordy to the ropes and flattens him with a huge dropkick to the face. Dynamo is getting psyched up, he's looking to end it. The student of Dan Severn dashes off the ropes and attempts a Scissor Kick, however Gordy is able to dodge. Following an elbow shot to the back of the neck Gordy hooks up Dynamo in a pump handle before hitting a sloppy looking Asiatic Driver. Driving Dynamo onto his face instead of his head, this means he's in the wrong position for a bridge so Gordy rolls Dynamo over for the 1...2...3.

RESULT : RAY GORDY defeats JOHNNY DYNAMO

RATING : *1/2 - It wasn't that the match was all that bad, it was just very rarely exciting. The crowd didn't appear to care less, honestly. There were some chuckle worthy moments, it will be interesting where they'll take Johnny Dynamo and his gimmick, and Dan Severn's reaction to it. Speaking of Dan Severn, I though Dynamo was here to find out who attacked him. Strange it hasn't been brought up yet

Mickie Knuckles vs Nikita

The brown haired, German vixen, Nikita is first out to the ring. This match was made following the fallout of the Best In The Midwest shows. Nikita is clad in pink vinyl from head to toe, and even if the match isn't good she'll give people something to talk about. She blows a kiss to the crowd as she enters the ring. She's got some crowd support behind her tonight. She's more of the tweener caught up in the Mickie Knuckles, Ms Chif and herself feud. Mickie Knuckles comes out to the ring to some big applause. The toughest woman in American wrestling slides into the ring. Polar opposite to Nikita, she's dressed in unflattering green pants, with M/K on either side. As well as a black, sleeveless, "Sports Entertainment Sucks" t-shirt. The women step up face to face as the bell rings. No niceties here, this is Women's WRESTLING. Nikita swings the first right hand, Mickie replies with a big forearm (Ian Rotten style) that knocks Nikita straight off her feet. Nikita is straight back up and straight back up into a second forearm. This time Nikita only stumbles. Mickie throws another forearms and cracks Nikita in the face, knocking her against the ropes in a daze. Mickie lets Nikita stumble forward before taking her to the mat with a snapmare. Mickie takes advantage and starts to kick rapidly at her downed opponent. Nikita takes the brunt of the kicks to the back but as she tries to escape she gets some stiff shots to the chest and eventually a kick to the face, causing her to quickly bail from the ring to prevent further damage.

Mickie is angry tonight. She's proving a point to Nikita, Ms Chif and every other woman out there. She is the top woman in North America. Mickie walks over to the ropes and Nikita pulls her out of the ring by the legs. Nikita unloads on Mickie Knuckles with a barrage of slaps and chops. Eventually she grabs Mickie by her hair and slams her face off the apron before rolling her back into the ring. Nikita climbs onto the apron before stepping into the ring. Her hesitation when entering to ring allows Mickie to pushes herself on her knees and swing the momentum back in her favour with a right hand blow to Nikita's gut. Mickie follows the right hand with a snap suplex, 1...2... Nikita kicks out with ease. Mickie twists the arm of Nikita behind her back. Nikita reverses the hammerlock into a headlock, however Mickie sends her towards the ropes. Mickie flattens her German counterpart with a shoulderbarge. Nikita springs back up straight into a massive right hand knocking her flat back down onto her arse. Before Nikita has a chance to reach a fully vertical position, Mickie Knuckles sends her stumbling back to the corner with a step up kick. Nikita collapses to the mat, propped up by the turnbuckle behind her. Mickie makes a run for the ropes. Facewash!!! She nearly knocks Nikita's head off her shoulders and into the front row. Mickie with the cover, 1...2... Nikita gets her shoulder up.

Nikita can barely stand as she staggers forward into Mickie Knuckles. Knuckles continues on the offensive tripping Nikita viciously onto her back. Nikita sits up from the force and gets a stiff kick right between the eyes. As Mickie drags Nikita to her feet, it's evident that Nikita's nose has been bust the hard way. To be perfectly honest, who'd blade a nose though. Mickie sends Nikita into the ropes and swings a clothesline, Nikita ducks and out of sheer desperation drives Mickie to the canvas with a neckbreaker. Both women are back up and ready to go at it. Nikita gets the first attack in swinging the momentum completely back in her favour. Following a roundhouse kick to the side of the head, Knuckles falls back against the ropes. Nikita ties her arms up and delivers a vicious slap to the face. Not only to inflict pain but embarrassment as well. Following a few big kicks Mickie is starting to fall down, reaching a squatting position. This is when Nikita goes for one hell of a vicious move. She runs off the opposite ropes before jumping into the air and crashing down on Mickie Knuckles with a double knee attack to the chest. Mickie collapses to the mat, but he arms are still tied up in the ropes. Nikita goes for the same again, this time Mickie tries to swing her leg up to counter the move however Nikita flies over the top of it and crashes down with another double knee, this time right on the face of her tied up victim. Mickie couldn't shield the blow!! Nikita unties her prone opponent, 1...2... Knuckles kicks out!

Nikita grabs Mickie by her hair and drags her across the mat over to the turnbuckle. After some foot choking, Nikita hits the ropes and delivers a weak looking facewash. Obviously not wanting to be outdone by Mickie's facewash earlier in the match Nikita attempts another one. This time the sheer force of the move knocks Mickie over the bottom rope and onto the apron!! The crowd break into a holy shit chant as Nikita rolls Mickie back into the ring for the count, 1...2... Mickie grabs the bottom rope! This cases Nikita to break into insanity. She starts screaming as she unleashes a barrage of kicks to Mickie. Mickie tries her best to shield herself but it's to no avail. As every kick connects Nikita shrieks like a woman tennis player being taken from behind by Venus Williams. Nikita attempts another pin, 1...2... Knuckles kicks out. A visibly pissed off Nikita throws a forearm shot at Mickie only for it to be ducked. Mickie grabs Nikita from behind, German Suplex!!! Mickie stalls mid transition before driving Nikita right on her head!!!! 1...2... Nikita gets her shoulder up!! The two women start to exchange huge forearm blows. They are literally beating the shit out of each other, and the small crowd absolutely love it. After a big blow Nikita drops onto one knee. Shining Wizard!!! Nikita ducks causing Mickie to fall flat on her face. Nikita was playing possum!! Nikita Cutter!!! No!! Nikita is pushed off the ropes. Both women are approaching each other, head on. Double Yakuza Kick!!! They both collapse the canvas. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10!! It's over. They're both knocked out after one hell of a match.

RESULT : MICKIE KNUCKLES and NIKITA draw

RATING : *** - Holy shit are the only words that can describe this match. The women literally beat the shit out of each other. The crowd, who were quiet early on got incredibly vocal towards the end. Normally a draw ending is not a good move, however it's perfect here. As it begs the question; "What will they have to do in order to beat the other person?" I can't wait till the rematch
