Review of the Week

7th-13th June 2004

It's been one hell of a week in the WWE. Most noticeabley is the acquisition of TNA. The WWE have done an excellent job of keeping this quiet, and Mr. McMahon has been pleased with his staff for not spilling the story.

On a pleasing note WWE have recently re-signed a number of it's former talent, to contracts in time for Monday's draft. The WWE superstars have just found out which brand they'll be on and are said to be pleased with the eveness of the rosters. Many superstars are said to be extremely pleased with the TNA acquisition as it means they'll be able to meet up with old friends. However, some superstars are worried with the size of the current roster. Many feel that there might be huge roster cuts very soon.

WWE officials had meetings with Tommy Dreamer, and Lance Storm among others, and have been able to work out deals for them, which will see them return to the ring, al be it in a part time form.

There are also various superstars down in OVW that have impressed WWE officials this week. However it is unknown who will be involved in the draft out of these.

In other news house shows this week have had positive feedback, since the announcement on RAW. Next week WWE are trying to encourage more people to go to house shows, so are allowing kids under 16 to get in for $2. This is all part of WWE's plan to increase attendences at all shows.

As was annonunced on Velocity - Orlando Jordan will be out of action for a month. This will come as a bit of a shock to many people, who thought that the injury was just an angle. However I  can assure you that it is legitimate.

That's it for this weeks - Review of the Week. Be sure to check out WWE this week.
