Weezer "Hurley"

So, this leaked the other day (and is available to listen to on their MySpace) and I have to say, this is by far their best album in some time. Red had some good ideas. Raditude was crap, but this is good stuff. Any old-school fans turned off by their new stuff should give this a listen.

Plus, Michael Cera sings backup and plays guitar on the track "Hang On" (my favorite track).

Stopped listening three tracks in ("Trainwrecks" sounded really interesting and then Rivers started singing). Decided to listen to "Hang On," though, and it is easily the best Weezer song since "The Other Way" (the only decent track on Make Believe), though that's not a big achievement. "Brave New World" is approaching decent as well. Rivers' singing is abysmal, though. He sounds like Weird Al Yankovic on "Smells Like Nirvana."

It's miles, miles better than Raditude, though. God, Raditude.
