The Nineties - Project Brainstorm

Alright, so here's the deal. I've got a Media Studies project due with a group, and it's on decades, our group drew the 90's and i've decided to get a head start by brainstorming before class tomorrow. Here's what I need:

- Information can consist of anything big through January 1st, 1990 until December 31st 1999.

Fads

Television shows that were substancial leaders\innovators

Music that was important

Political events that were big

World events that were big

etc.

As you see, it's just basically anything that's really important from the 90's decade. So fire away. I'm asking because I was too young in the early, early ninties to remember much. Someone with a bit more perspective could help in the places i'm blurry.
