  1. Kinda of ironic the fact that Oasis split was announced by Bloc Party, doesn't it ? "I think Oasis are the most overrated and pernicious band of all time. They had a totally negative and dangerous impact upon the state of British music. They have made stupidity hip. They claim to be inspired by The Beatles but, and this saddens me, they have failed to grasp that The Beatles were about constant change and evolution. Oasis are repetitive Luddites."
  2. A: Bayern, Juventus, Bordeaux, Maccabi Haifa As a Juventus fan I consider this draw quite lucky. To be honest I fear Bourdeaux more than Bayern becuase they've got great pieces of talent (Gourcuff and Chamakh among all) and a good style of playing. B: Man Utd, CSKA Moscow, Besiktas, Wolfsburg Well, Man Utd should go easy here, despite going to Russia isn't always the best considering weather conditions there around CL games happen. Think CSKA (Wagner Love ) and Wolfsburg will contend the second place. C: AC Milan, Real Madrid, Marseille, Zurich Milan vs Real is still an awesome game just for the history behind them, also Milan vs Marseille is really interesting. Milan has lost a lot of his power after this transfer session but I think they can manage to go on in the tournament. D: Chelsea, Porto, Atletico Madrid, APOEL Like Group B, one team surely in the First Knockout Round (Chelsea) and other two struggling for the second ticket (Atletico Madrid and Porto). E: Liverpool, Lyon, Fiorentina, Debrecen Could be like above, but we have to see if Liverpool can get again to his top form at home and in Europe. Hope that "I Viola" will beat Lyon, last year they knock them out with Benzema, this year is different. F: Barcelona, Inter Milan, Dynamo Kiev, Rubin Kazan They call it destiny, don't they ? Hell of a match-up, the Ukrainian and the Russian challenge for the EL spot. Beware of away games in the cold cold lands, however. G: Sevilla, Rangers, Stuttgart, Unirea Urziceni The most equilibrated group IMHO. Except for the Unirea, none of these teams seems too far superior if compared to each other. Maybe Sevilla is one step above, but I could terribly wrong. H: Arsenal, AZ Alkmaar, Olympiakos, Standard Liege Arsenal above all, the battle for the second spot should be very well-fought.
  3. Don't you remember that once upon a time Inter supporters launched a scooter from their own stand ? A flare on the Milan goalkeeper ? And by the way, I was ironic, not so much to be honest.
  4. It will end like this: San Siro, Barcelona 4-0 Inter, 4 goals of Ibrahimovic, kissing the shirt every time. Riot all over the stadium with people asking "weren't you unable to score in Champions League ?".
  5. Little piece of news. I don't think they will get him, although they really need someone like him.
  6. Well, I'm not so surprised about Roma, Gasperini is just one of the best coaches nowadays in shaping a team's playing style despite losing great players such as Milito and Thiago Motta. Plus, they've got Palacio, one of my favourite players. I'm a Juventino but I follow Genoa's march as well.
  7. Since I saw some topics about football leagues from abroad, I try to open a topic about the former "World's Best Football League". Dunno how many of you are really interested in this stuff, if not let this thread bury it self to the Archive. Here's Day One results. I watched the Inter and the Juventus games. Mourinho was very confused in game-managing, even changed a player just after 27 minutes because he was out of shape (Muntari), Inter still needs to build his own game. Juventus played just one half quite good, Diego showed some of his tricks and of his vision of game and also gave a perfect assist to the scoring Iaquinta (yes, after all he can score as everybody else, kinda of strange but that's it).
  8. Take a trip to Maranello and you'll feel relieved about it. You're not alone.
  9. I don't get this hate towards Badoer, especially in my bloody country: what did they expected from a barely decent driver who haven't been in a real race for ten years ? The same driver who tried out a far from competitive car eight months ago ? A victory with one hour of advantage ? Jesus.
